Hi Sam, I am inquiring about the change from strategies like the “15m candle stick” strategy and the “candle stick timing strategy” to more mean reversion strategies? I’m just personally asking. Also, a personal question, could you upload a commentary on entries and how they do or don’t matter? I mean it’s just a request. Maybe just make up a strategy or take one of the two previously mentioned strategies and give a commentary on entries while using them… possibly? Idk, ik you much more busy with the discord, so maybe I should just join that and ask. Either way, thanks for the videos! I enjoy your commentary on the martingale and mean reversion strategies. Just a video request on the theory of entries and whether or not it “pays off” in your experience, nothing special.
Yeah I'm doing research too about martingale system and find it interesting but also deadly. From my version 1 backtest using martingale I got 5% every month in one year 2024, the highest risk 8% never more than 8% but it's so rare to get 8% even just 1 or 2 month have the highest risk the rest is only 2% and 4% even straight win with 1% to get 5% a month Why targeting 5% a month ? Because it's rational I think. The management is simple use martingale when the order touch SL and double it, never double it when floating. I use 1:1 risk reward. Not every strategy compatible with this system so try backtest first. Martingale only work if trade loss but when trade have consecutive loss more than 8% you're death But if using lot not percent than it's okay. Why ? Recommendation its start at minimum 0.01 and the maximum 0.1 And if you wanna play safe using martingale, use 30% of balance
Thanks Sam. Martingale to the Trend-Direction...or...to the Opposite direction??? And catch the turns carefully. For me it is looking hard. Especially when I choose an instrument with a HIGH spread 😞
Doesn’t really work unless you more than double the opposing lot size because the other positions looses are increasing which means the opposing lot size needs to be huge to cover those losses
👍Thanks, your tip is key for DCA too: use in ranging markets, which are partly predictable by vol and calendar👍
Great explanation. Thanks!
Thank you I appreciate that :)) any content you’d like to see more of?
Id love to see it being put to the test. this was really interesting, watched till the end :D
That’s a cool idea, will definitely add this to the content list, thank you! Really glad you enjoyed it:)))
The tighter stop loss more likely to blow account. Use large time frames
Tighter stop relative to target size yes. Win rate / RR relationship is a more accurate definition of what you’re talking about.

This should work if you have a fairly decent win rate and conservative Martingale (e.g. not doubling after every loss)
Exactly
