It's a beautiful place and it is strongly built. Hope it survives. I can see that outside room full of plants, Himalayan bamboo etc. It's a wistful process watching these videos of Kyiv. Good to see the city and the real people there. Best wishes to you.
Hi Johnny! Congrats on your purchase. My biggest cause for paranoia would be the "empty dirt courtyard" outside , you can see that a building used to stand there, and usually what happens to those "empty areas" after a while is that a greedy construction company comes in and builds something, and trust me if it will then it won't be 3-4 stories. The biggest risk there (apart from having less light/a worse view outside) is that in order to achieve this they first dig up a huge pit, and the overall construction often causes other older buildings outside to develop cracks - better ask around your neighbors if they know anything about this and if they already have some sort of "court ban" in place to prevent this
Congrats on the place! These vlogs ended up as a nice guide on buying an apartment in Ukraine :) If you'll be traveling west Ukraine, visit Lviv as a "cultural capital" of Ukraine. Drop me a message for a tour!
I'll be heading to Kiev sometime this summer. And if Kiev looks like a place I could see myself staying, then I'll definitely check things out with these people you worked with. They seemed great and professional.

Hi Johnny, Slava Ukraine!! My wife and I plan on visiting in the spring. Cindy (my wife) brought up the idea of buying a condo there in Kiev or Lviv. We will rent out our Portland condo for the time we're there. But maybe we will do like you, buy a condo for citizenship. Cindy really wants to connect with her grandparents legacy in Odessa. 100% rent out your Portland Condo while you travel, but don't rush into buying anything here yet. I'd recomend you wait until the end of the war, as rent is cheap now, and you can see how things go and how you feel here. Kyiv real estate is still expensive, but Odessa is super cheap.
