- The traditional Hanmadang -- a technical festival of Korean Martial Arts (both Taekwondo and Hapkido -- has at its core purpose to encourage, nurture and challenge the pursuit of excellence in the many disciplines of the traditional Korean Martial Arts. Children, teenagers and adults can do amazing things when they apply themselves in an environment that focusses on excellence. It's amazing to see some members kicking above the height of 2.4metres, scoring over 10 points in the technical breaking and achieving scores of over 8 in traditional poomsae at our traditional Hanmadang. Our ancient forefathers would have been proud, as no doubt our Grand Master Sung Soo Lee is, of the students of Taekwondo and Hapkido at this Martial Arts Brisbane based academy -- Factorten.com.au 32052167
My brother and I used to do Tae Kwon Do. I got to black belt, he got to blue. This really makes me happy seeing children do this sport. It teaches discipline and focus and so many other skills beyond what you see.

Reading the comments ppl seem to forget that these boards are confidence builders. Since it's just for kids.
These kids are awesome, and they're way ahead of me! I started martial arts three and a half years ago when I was 18. For those who don't know, modern taekwondo is more advanced and has more belts than karate, making it slightly more challenging.
4:00 "I see them, i see them over there" AWE SO CUTE
True
0:42 she didn’t hold tight
The jumping side kick, the spinning heel kick and the axe kick are my favorites.
Spinning heel kicks (when done smoothly) look rly satisfying when breaking boards
@@shelleybento2207 Yeah, it definitely a good one! My friend Izekiel is a third degree black belt, and he's mastered the jumping spinning heel kick. I'm one belt away from my first black belt, I'm currently second red black. My instructor is Mrs Plew and she's a 6 degree black belt, which is the first level of master, she's super tough but she's also very patient and can handle students with different learning paces. She's even good with special needs people. Out of friendly curiosity, have you done martial arts?
I’m about to take my first belt test I’m scared af
Don’t be. If you’re confident in your skills and anything else you should know, you should do just fine.
Jeremy Jameson I passed btw
Daniel Reed just wait until red belt and up. it wasnt fun

Guess who beat a yellow belt in sparing
Why all the comments be like "me is takewodno!! 🥋👊👊👊"
I don't get it
I don't get it either
do u know how many trees were killed for this
to be fair it's a valid point
My guess is not many. As stated before by others in this comment section, the boards are quite thin.
Probably just one or even less
@Nila Kami - These boards? No not at all, they just give the kids hope, ACTUAL 1 inch boards/ cement blocks? Yes, but the main point is not about strength, it is about LANDING your hits on the target, there is no point in hitting really hard if you miss, plus, if you end up tiring yourself out or swing too hard to the point you go off balance, then you are dead meat especially if your enemy is also experienced in Martial Arts.
@Nila Kami - The boards the kids were using were not 1 inch, they were way lower than that. They were around 9 mm which is 0.35433071 inches to be exact, actually I'd say lower than that, boards look as thin as cardboard. And did you say you do 4 inches?! That is not small at all, you've got to have very powerful legs to break 4 inches, most people will break their legs, I myself who can break boards could easily injure my leg. 4 inches of wood boards is estimated to be at least 2.7 inches of cement boards, same size.
I don't believe your saying in that of it being SMALL unless you are referring to another type of wood which is easier to break like Balsa wood. But if you are referring to actual wood that everyone uses, not in karate for kids but for actual fierce training, if you can break 4 inch wood then you are extremely fit, though I know you're lying about it being small.
this taekwondo is bullshit. that blackbelt did not deserve his rank, his axe kick was garbage and he missed the back kick.
I'm Not in taekwondo still doing the Moves xD
That Blonde girl with the Batman Shirt is Cool She's a Hot Black Belt.
ı'm doing my yellow belt taekwondo me
Such a looser dude I’m in a brun belt 🤣😃
@@はII you can’t even spell brown also you were a yellow belt once as well and There’s nothing wrong with that
My martial arts is fun martial arts means taekwondo
Please keep in mind that these are KIDS so it shouldn't be upsetting or surprising the boards are thin.
If I were the one kicking the boards I'd screw up because I would not want to kick the teachers
There's got to be a more efficient way to chop firewood
I'm a black belt in wing chung
5:49 holy shit for a red belt that was horrible
Completely, idk in what kind of taekwondo school those guys train, cause apparently anyone can get a black belt easily there

Boards don't hit back
Dam I got my junior black belt and one time I was tearing up because the wood was so thick and my hand was hurting then I finally did it
I got mine too in under a year but I used the right technique first time so I didn't hurt myself . The boards in this vid are so thin 😂
Was harder back in the day, but then again some of these kids have like white and yellow belts so some misses are to be expected. Then again I am surprised that some of the black belts performed so poorly. I am not against giving black belts to kids, but you shouldnt give black-belts to someone who cant perform good kicks.

Boards dont hit back
Well we don't have this coz we learn shothokhan style

sorry but those boards arent it chief🤣. I am a first degree black belt in taekwondo and the boards my instructor had us break were wayyyyy harder than those. those i can literally barely hit and it'll snap. instead of using those boards like that make it a little harder to really strive kids into doing board breaking.
ffs i just came here to watch some kids do their best at what they love and the fuckin comment section is either people bragging of their own belts or just negative comments about the kids,, like chill
Ahhh i remember when i was orange now i became 3 degree black belt
My boards are 5 times thicker
I wish I go to kruty

What's your schools name?
i wanna learn martials arts and all those type of things
Good breaking. Looks like the kids had fun. Invest in some Board Brothers. You can attach them right to your heavy bags. That way students can practice breaking as much as they want without hurting anybody's fingers (8:11 , 10:22).
