My 2nd Great Grandparents moved from Skole, to St. Clair, Pennsylvania during 1918 and 1919. Im trying my best, but having no luck on finding traditional Embroidery from Skole. My plan is to have a Vyshyvanka made to represent my amcestry from Skole.

Zakharii, thank you for the long post (or should I say spasibo or perhaps multsumesc or djenkuje vam?) Fascinating. I have ever been thankful for MOUNTAINS for protecting small enclaves of folk lodged in remote valleys. By the way, "vatra" is considered by the Romanians to be one of the remaining Dacian words in their vocabulary.
Thanks for the English explanations. Any additional information/pictures/music about the Boikos would be greatly appreciated. Also, prior to 1947, wasn't there a smaller group of "Polish Boikos" that were forcibly exiled under the "Vistula Action"? Any information why they were exiled (this was after the war), and what happened to them?
@@Idontwantahandle6669 Indo-Aryan? That is a language group belonging to the Indic branch of Indo-European. Those languages exist in India, primarily. Do you mean that Ukrainians have Y-DNA haplogroups that correspond with Indo-European languages at similar levels, e.g. R1a? If so, I still question why "Aryan" is a necessary term at all to describe that. Y-DNA is not necessarily reflective of genetics overall. The majority of African Africans carry R1b Y-DNA haplogroups, but they are not majority European genetically.
@@MasiukA yes Ukrainians and Russian are Indo-Aryan, not Indo-European. The Indo-Aryan originate in eastern Europe and then spread into Asia from there. Ukrainians, Russians, and Belarusians aren't the same as other European ethnic groups.
@@MasiukA I think a alot of Russians and Ukrainians bring up the Aryan thing because Hitler wanted to eliminate the Slavic people, when in reality German dna only contains 5% Aryan phenotypes. It's not so much a "master race" thing as it is a means of taking back their identity from people who claimed they were the master race and wanted us gone.
Lubię taki archaiczny skład instrumentalny, archaiczne basy, na Mazowszu podobny skład instrumentów był tradycyjnie.
Love the "basic" elements in this music as if it's something from the ancient past. Love his accent and his account. Makes me smile!!!!
Ahh yes, my ancestors...thanks to the Internet just coming up to speed on their full history - New Hampshire USA
Same here. I used to think being Ukrainian just meant being Ukrainian. Now I know who I really am.
Never lost them. I grew up in a tight knit Ukrainian enclave in Pennsylvania coal fields.
Same boat, cousin
Дякую,дорогий друже,гарне відео.Гарні традиції.

Why all the aryan nonsense in the description? Aryan is a linguistic group encompassing many cultures and genetic populations.
Because Ukrainian genetics are 60% Indo-Aryan.
