With all respect sir, even though I am no expert, but training neck and tightness of jaw makes you lesser prone to a knock out. Learning clinch, liver shot and different ways to shift and throw bodyweight behind a punch also helps. Developing hand and eye coordination with proper leg movement and head movement also helps. Explosiveness exercises like clean variations, box squats, speed deadlift etc are beneficial besides the cardio. Also, conditioning by taking punches and even kicks to different areas where you can be hit in a boxing match. Imagine what you put yourself through while traing for the deadlift. Big fan.

@@jRoy7 I agree there. Brian performed better than most of the guys and threw the kegs higher. The thing he got beat on was speed, not power. @Eric E "he has been out for a while"🤣🤣 Do you even know who Mateusz is? He is 27years old and competed in Arnolds 2020(2nd)and was gonna compete in WSM but got injured week before.
@Eric E I think you're talking about Mariusz... Do you know who Kielisowski is?
Love how Luke is Tom’s biggest fan must be unbelievable for them both doing what they are doing as brothers !
Alll u hear when Tom is competing is “COME ON TOM!!!!” For the entire como u can’t hear anyone yell with so much behind it
The tension in the air with the Hercules Hold is thicc! Great event to spectate!
Thank you for the upload.
Love your sportsmanship Eddie! Cheering for the young generation of strongmen, keeping it going, a beautiful thing!
Love you Eddie! Big inspiration. Greetings from Argentina!
Tom had an awesome recovery after dropping the anvil. Never give up in an event
20:26 - small typo for those who watch on mute. Caron has a time of 20.31 but is given second place behind Stoltman who should have 20.05
also: B Shaw was moving too slowly between kegs. he's got the strength to just toss them from where they stand - he doesn't need the step back.
I Reckon Bishop's guys were egging him on a bit too early, he was only 15 seconds into the hold and they were screaming "how bad do you want it?" that shit plays with your mind
I love hearing older stoltman yelling from behind the camera :D
I see a novikiov and Tom stoltman rivalry happening for the next few years. Those guys are a new breed
Don't forget Mateusz Kieliszkowski
thor and mateusz will also be back as well as matins
@@connormerrick5527 why would Thor be back
Toms got a better build to be able to improve more i think than Nova... but both unreal athletes.
@@adamturner8732 Luke Richardson has alot of potential too
Tom's stone run was insane he just made them look like toys
He needs to train hercules hold then he can go for number 1
It was incredible, man!
Of course this happens in my home town when no one was allowed to go...
R.I.P

Sarasota Memorial Hospital and then on to Bradenton!

@@Asmokedetector Weren't even allowed in the parking lot..
I remember when I used to watch world strongest man ages ago I'm getting back into it very quickly it's just mind blowing to watch
I love how Tom wears no gear or anything with the stones. Just man handles them up there.
Success comes to those who are honest and confident in their endeavour.
Thanks for not spoiling the results. I thought wsm was long over and lost track.
Bore off
Novicov and tom stoltman are Gunna have some mega battles in years to come can't wait
Kielisowski and Licis also
@@marcusbailey3988 didn't mean to leave any out just 2 of the youngest with many years ahead taking nothing away from others there all abserlute monsters lol
And hopefully set ups of event are going to be fair next time.Novikov was at a serious disadvantage on stones as the platform was unstable and wasnt able to lean the stone on it.Stoltman is like a half a foot taller and that didnt affect him.

Toms performance at the stones was mind-blowing. I don't think I have ever seen someone dominating that event like him.
Eddie still remains the tank! Loved seeing him in his other videos when he was killing it!
I love the raw in luke voice cheering his brother on 😂🤣
Can't wait to see Kieliszkowski compete against Novikov and T.Stoltman....
I was just sat thinking the same. Kieliszkowski is a machine. I was gutted he wasn't in it this year. The next few years will be interesting!
I love how Shaw throws those kegs so high it costs him time on the way down
Honestly a stacked year! Brian shouldn’t be too upset with some of his events. Dudes a champ and one of the greats. I hope he continues farther
Thanks, Eddie for bringing this video to youtube. I enjoyed it.
Hi Eddie(from Wisconsin). Thank you for being a inspiration to me. I’m 15 and I’m trying to keep going bigger and stronger to try out for worlds strongest man. Have a great day Eddie
Martins crying was touching. He's had a a rough year.

@@jacobhuntLFC just a lot of injuries that it wouldn't appear he deserved
I'm so sorry for Tom, he knew he lost it at the first event when he stumbled and dropped the anvil.
Hands down he was the best, the strongest in the lineup. I have no doubt this year, he's gonna destroy the lineup.
I hope Licis is coming back this year, he's such a character. Tom vs Novikov vs Licis.
Красавец, Олексий! Поздравляю от всей души!
Every time I watch videos like this, it just boggles my mind what the human body is capable of. Then I start thinking about sprinters, long distance runners, as well as really smart people in general lol.
Our bodies are truly a miracle.
"Could you have done more?"
"Yes, if it's needed"
So casual.
No surprise with novikov, the guy is not only strong but athletic too.
he also is short so less distance to cover to get straight! he is good tho
Watching Martins, Mateus, and Novikov battle it out over the next few years is gonna be a real treat.
Edit: And Tom of course!
@@0just0derp0 Fucks him up on the keg throw

Animal!

One of the best strong man things in the world… is your and Brian’s friendship!! It’s fucking brilliant
nice job Eddie and the team, felt like i was watching an official production, good job
32:43 Luke Stoltman's voice is pure motivation. Strongest brothers on the podium this year!
God Brians keg toss was pure power ! He skyed everyone !
Yeah, I think they should either make the weights heavier or the bar higher next year.
@@clanpsi Keg toss is a classic event and it's neat, but when the separation is so razor thin on many of the guys, I don't think it's an effective test of strength. I much prefer events where a few guys won't even finish, and the best can really shine.
He used useless power tho the second one flyed 1 ft over that thats wasted power
@@zawarudo2095 correct
@@jRoy7 I agree there. Brian performed better than most of the guys and threw the kegs higher. The thing he got beat on was speed, not power. So if they increase the height of the bar and/or weight of the kegs, i think that would thin out the competitors. Not this many guys completed all of the kegs in the past. Most guys would gas out on 4-6 kegs.
Look at the hercules hold times - and looking at what Mark Felix is capable of as a 56 year old - it really shows you how much of an animal Mark really is at grip events.
He really is impressive.
you know, im a fan of both you and thor and i know you are gunna whoop his ass with all the hard work and sheer talent you put into everything you do, but i am rooting for the underdog; thor. i love you guys and will only ever support all the great men of strongman. i appreciate everything you guys do. good luck with everything, eddie!
Amazing to watch the ability that these men have. I look up to these guys and it inspires me to push myself daily.
Mike Tyson always says everyone has a plan until they get hit, good luck Eddy, hope you knock some sense into him
Bro he had to ask for like a year of training he is so fkn shook en no where near ready for THE BEAST who is gonna knock his opponent “THE SPEED-BUMP” RIGHT TF DOWN IF NOT KTFO’D

Eddie Hall: King of saying 'fithd'
I love how he is like Thor is out training to get his head knocked off by myself. Eddie Hall needs to be in Movies!
Thanks for getting this on youtube.
Eddie thank you for covering TWSM2020 . made my night , cheers .
Its pretty amazing to have a winner that didnt finish both the log press or the stones. Tom lost the title and gave it to Novikov with one small mistake. Congrats to Novikov, an amazing effort at 24 years of age.
ronaldov09
Yes??? And Novikov was not mistaken in throwing the kegs when he began to waste time turning them over? Everyone is wrong somewhere, only Novikov is very young and next time, he will not make these mistakes, and what excuse will there be then?
That also caught my attention. You think the criteria would be to finish the event or take a harsher penalty if you don’t complete it.
