How to Generate AI Music with Mubert Text to Audio Tutorial

- In this video we're taking a look at Mubert's text2audio API that lets us generate audio tracks using text. Those track are all completely new and you can use them in your streams and videos without getting hit with a copyright strike or DMCA takedown.
UPDATE: After I recorded the video, Mubert updated their GitHub readme. Sounds are not created directly based on the text prompt, they're first translated into tags. Based on those tags, Mubert than uses picks / generates sounds related to them.

it's like a music generator in "lite" version if you guys know my meaning, as we basically know how it works - deeply depending on their own libs, anyway it's easy to use and sometimes it could give some good result, for temp use or non-commercial, non-strict scenarios. Good to go, better than a lot similar, thanks your tutorial.
thanks a lot for sharing this
Thank you!
I am a Japanese AI music creator. Thanks for the very interesting video.
! I never thought AI could generate such incredible music. The variety of genres and the ability to create loopable tracks is impressive.
When I tried to generate music with the google collab like in this video, it now says that I have to subscribe on Mubert's website to access it :(
Good evening sir,
I used mubert AI to generate music which worked out well but my concern is that after I downloaded it to my android phone, it can't play and it always show that I don't have app to play the file. I have downloaded different apps. But I can't get to get it correctly.
My plead is that I want you to tell me the name of the app that I need to download so that this wonderful music that I created with can play.
Thanks so much for your understanding and looking forward for your response.
Thank you for this video. Is this colab is free to use?
nice vid. Can you specify a time signature in the prompt?
if possible, show how to run this tool locally on windows 11
that calm lofi hip hop major
This is awesome, i have a lot of fun using the colab.
Could you please make a video showing how to use MusicLM?
how could you use It ? looks like it needs Api and it is not free
Where is now the loop mode? :( I'm a Pro plan user, didn't see that yet
How do I bypass the audio water mark
Can it generate sound effects based on the prompt?
Yeah, I've been using Mubert for a while, and their menu, despite being good with some options, it's still limited, so it's not like we're going to have, for example, an specific Japanese musical style if it's not added in their genres or moods, but the good thing is with the colab I guess there are some more advances since you can just type some specific words for what you need, and Mubert is going to generate something specific for you. I guess it's still limited to some certain minutes per day, or no?
Yes, I mean it’s a start. Let’s see how this will evolve down the road. As per the limitation, I can’t say. From a technical standpoint they don’t enforce an actual API token yet. It’s a test token that get’s loaded in. So unless they limit by IP I don’t think there’s a limit yet.
@@dreamingtulpa That's great! I also realized it generates a token for you with the email used, and it generates a 30s audio in less than 10s, which is kinda faster than the website!
@@dreamingtulpa I enter my email and got error message.. Do i have to sign in to mubert first??
Can we generate sound effect with this?
How to download?
Can we use it on Paperspace?
How do you know that this is actually composed by a neural network? Maybe the creators themselves composed, say, 1000 simple melodies. Once on this site I got very good melodies on the piano and I can’t believe that the program created them
After researching AI music tools for months now, I think it's fair to say that there's no way the tracks are being generated entirely from a neural network. This is true for AIVA, Soundful, etc. My guess is it's either A) a marketing ploy and they're just generative algos being sold as AI B) the apps are using AI to identify the meaning of the word and trigger a generative algo or C) the AI acts on parameters that could basically have any value and would come out sounding like a slight variation on the others.
Yes you're correct, composers have created the elements. An algorithm assembles it.

Seems legit
Is Mubert copyright free to use on YT and to sell?
Try "Tim Hecker" or "Brian Eno" to get great Ambient tracks!
hello is this possible local install?
How do you download this music?
I went to your link to try it and it doesn't work
is there any way to get an api? free one
I am seeing the video generated only the music. Is there a setting to turn on the video option?
Mubert only generates music, the little video in the bottom right corner is just stock video added in by this youtuber to go along with the music.
can this be set up locally ? And i see from the git hub license you don't actually own the music
You don't own it, but you can use it as you wish. So if you want to mix it in with other songs to create a soundtrack, you can.
Stems would be neat.
Indeed!
same prompt twice will produce different music? Thanks
Yep
Mubert is limited but using this strategy i can use iimited ? Is totally free ?
For now, yes
can you make a 10 hour video of punk rock? 😂
Como gerar as musicas??
Hi, generated some really great audio with this tool thanks!
How does it work with copyrights and mubert? Can I use the audio for and combine it with my deforum videos and sell as NFTs?
I think you need to give attribution. Not sure if you’re allowed to use it for commercial purposes without a paid plan. Check the GitHub repo or their website for more infos.
@@dreamingtulpa thanks Tulpa
when i try to generate it shows the following message:
name 'pat' is not defined
@Planet Today nop
@Planet Today just messing around, out of curiosity, nothing much... if i create a youtube channel for example it would be usefull to create music without copyrights
I don't know what you mean? When I was growing up all the cool kids listened to that exact style of "lonely boy, punk rock"...ok maybe just me.
nice!!
its a shame there is no more loop option
It’s gone?
@@dreamingtulpa yes and other things is different
Never used Colab, do i need to setup environment, token and others sections or i can just write a prompt and run ??
Yep, you need to run the cells before the prompt to setup the runtime.
@@dreamingtulpa but how? Can you say the instructions 🥲
@@hmmm6476 Do you see the little play buttons when you hover over the individual cells? Just click those, one after another.

generation is very RANDOM. You can't for example tell him "generate a bass at 80bpm in the key of C" it will totally ignore that and produce something instead that maybe doesn't even have a bass in it
Is the music generated free to use?
It is. But there are some caveats. Checkout the GitHub repo for more information.
if you're on the free plan, you must give credit to Mubert, and you can still monetize your videos if you want without copyright claims.
@@girlgamer8615 I saw you just have 1 video with the title: "Chill Lofi Cyberpunk Vibes - WINTER EDITION". In your video, you didn't use the muber referral link or the "Generated with mubert" + the link, so I guess you got a copyright claim because of that.
@CYBERPUNK PRINCESS LOFI Did you just deleted your comment? I can't see it again. I read someone still claimed the copyright issue despite you had a pro account. Did you generate the music or you took it from another artist?
Hmm, tested the colab notebook, but it didn`t seem to matter much what I wrote in the prompt?
do you pay for that?
What about copyright?
Nope your creation is yours
On their website they say you have to attribute it to them with a "#Mubert" unless you subscribe to their paid plans, but otherwise you can use it freely in your own projects.
No it is not good... I type orchestra it give me piano, I type in 8-bit and it give me techno. It just like randoming a music to the client and it didn't match the prompts even. The final try I accepted are "psycho techno sad dark hate battle". Those prompts can be referenced from the generated music.
not working anymore, its paid now, sad
It is paid now…
if you can do a video without you speaking over the samples that would be great.
Ya'll cant just sit down and learn how to make music? Its really not hard.
this is a paid plain scam not a tutorial for building your own music AI, no thanks
