I'l give fury that. Great movement for a guy his size and relative to his opponents except usyk--he looked good. But against Usyk he was just an average heavyweight
Usyk could’ve knocked Fury out in the 9th round of the last fight, he deliberately let Fury off the hook as he didn’t wanna give him lasting damage but Fury was literally at the mercy of Usyk. If the fight wasn’t a unification the ref would’ve waved it off
The first time I saw Usyk fight I couldn't believe how fast and accurate he was for a guy of that size. Incredible boxer. Fury used to be able to take a punch but I think a few of the wars (Wilder, and now Usyk) have taken their toll on him. And as we all know, Fury just doesn't hit that hard for a guy of his size. Granted, a boxer of that size can still knock anyone out cold with a good punch, but his power just isn't consistent and Usyk is a moving target. As others have mentioned, Fury has come out better in rematches. So not sure what to expect from this rematch.
Usyk is still in extremely serious danger from Fury. I love Usyk, but I still respect Fury's jab and crazy stamina for a giant. Usyk had a nasty cut and damage to his head last fight. It was close. Fury knows how to tease, trick, and aggravate Usyk to some extent.
@@Mmajungleworld777 So what you're saying is Fury is going to get himself knocked out even sooner? Braindead fanboys think "coming forward" is the answer to everything. You think others haven't tried? Coming forward only works if he knows how to brawl. Fury is NOWHERE NEAR the brawler Chisora is. Not even close. All he knows is how to grab and lean and cheat. His inside game is mediocre at best. The more aggressive Fury gets, the easier to counter he will be. He will open himself up to someone who has quicker hands, quicker feet, and quicker reflexes. Doesn't sound like a smart plan now does it? This isn't to say he shouldn't be aggressive. But your framing of "come forward the whole fight" is not a good plan.
I still think Fury wins the rematch if he preps well. He's always been better in rematches, and the same can't be said for Usyk. He needs to cut out John from his corner, listen to SugarHill only. He wasn't focused enough. Didn't have one solid plan to stick by. Some told him to cruise, others told him to go for the kill. SugarHill was the one telling him to pressure, and he was right. Every round that Fury pressured Usyk, he was in no danger himself. It was only when he allowed Usyk to pressure him that he lost rounds and got hurt. I think he'll be clever enough to see that. He made that adjustment against Wilder, after all. And Usyk is a far better boxer of course, but it's irrelevant. The adjustment is there to make. Usyk meanwhile can't really fight better than he did against Fury. I really am anxious to see this rematch. The first was a clash of titans.
@@TheStraightestWhitest Usyk can fight off the back foot pretty well too. But u are right Usyk fought the best he can but now he know if touch furry he can hurt him. That very dangerous when fighter know your chin can’t take his punches
@@Boxingrarefootage777 I think all the big wars with big punchers took Fury's chin. He used to be immortal. Maybe he'll come in heavier next time to bully Usyk with weight. Size helps absorb shots.
@@paulkaufmann8130 It was going up very evenly. By the 8th, Fury had massive betting odds shifted in his favor because everyone could see he was well ahead. It was 6-6. Usyk won because of the 10-8. Usyk is how Holyfield was too fast and counter to fast for most heavyweights. Both got insane strength to beat bigger guys too.
