I'm in tears as I watch this. I am a pastor's wife so I SEE these all the time. I remember a time my husband was in the hospital, they never called or came, but they were expecting in to be in church for prayers for themselves. God bless the Winlos, I am always blessed.
This is very true, since I discovered that my pastor friend that I run to all the time with my endless problems doesn't have a child in almost 25 years of marriage I became humbled. They might be pastors, but they are first human.
Same happened in my house...my little sister was sick n my dad had to leave to help another woman's who's child was sick but by the time he returned God had healed my sister...Glory to God!!!
Great testimony of the glory of God but this is what I believe. A pastor has a duty to his family first. If his child or wife is seriously sick he is suppose to stay by her unless God says otherwise. He can pray for the church member's child or family member while he is home with his family that needs him. There is no barrier or distance that can stop God from hearing his prayers. Just like what happened for the centurion in Matthew 8:8
This is why Pastors' wives should work or have businesses. Even if the husband is called into full-time ministry, the wife should not also be a housewife. Although God could call them both as full-time ministers, but timing is crucial too. Ask God when each of you should enter full-time. This is a blessed drama piece.
you know dear . it's very right for every family to seek God with all their hearts having faith that God is faithful to hear and answer prayers and that's exactly what people should learn as families.God can hear anyone as long as you be faithful that he can answer your prayers .so families should train themselves to stay strong in the lord.not depending on one person by placing blames on him for everything.yet everything every one needs is within our life.
The call to ministry is a call to a life of integrity, faith, trust, oh, and even pain. Nobody understands what goes on in their minds sometimes, except God though. Uhhh!!! A little tear though, it's only a film but, God will reward the faithful ones. Thank you for that inspiring clip.

He said that they don't understand that he was a human being with a special calling. 3: 00 am or late at night members were calling asking for HELP. This is why relationships matter. I see some pride in the pastor. What if he had appealed to the finance committee to for a loan? They may have just given them the money as a means of support. Sometimes practical steps are an act of faith. His wife should have suggested that idea. This is another reason why it matters for pastors to have a legitimate and reliable source of income. I'm all for churches paying their pastor a salary if they serve them full time. PS A great lesson in why Christians need to build their faith. What made that woman think that her own prayers wouldn't be enough? It is the word of God that works, not the pastor. The best thing ministers can do is empower their congregations through sound teaching. This is a good case of perishing for lack of knowledge both for the pastor and his flock.
I laughed 😀 when I read your comment. It's very easy to write such a thing. When you face reality then you'll know it's not as you think. What you assume is what you know. You haven't seen ministries where anything that concerns the pastor they always turn it down? This is the case of pastors serving in most ministries. May God not allow you be in that kind of situation. Also, that some children choose to misbehave does that mean their parent didn't raise them well? We're waiting for people like you to become the perfect pastors our generation need. Pastors like you who will open their members head and download scriptures into it, pastors like you who's members will be perfect. You can never be so sound and perfect in God to the extent of not needing your pastors prayers. In fact, if you ever come to the point where you feel all you need from your pastors is just their teaching then pride has entered you.
@@margaretugbedeojoreuben6178 wow! It's a shame if a ministry deliberately refuses to help its own pastors. I guess that's a good reason why it makes sense for them to have an independent source of income. We saw people like Paul in the Bible do this. Also, it's ok for people to relate with their pastors on various matters but sometimes what ends up happening is rather codependent relationships which can overwhelm pastors. There are basic things people can do for themselves rather than leaning on ministers to compensate for deeper emotional issues. In fact, sometimes these matters are outside a pastor's scope and they need to be honest enough to refer the person to a professional ( See Rev Otis Moss interview with Jude 3 about mental health on RUclips. It's a good example) someone with more competence in that area. Sometimes it's a question of education and studying helps. One is never too big to need a Pastor's prayers but one doesn't need them for everything either. What happens when you can't get hold of the M/WOG? Far too many Africans (and not just Africans) are Bible ignorant and have unhealthy relationships with their church leaders. We are supposed to study the word and walk in our authority while helping each other. Congregants also need to support their pastors.
@@KiRetteCouture : I quite agree with you. The truth is, when you see a pastor going through difficult situation and even more and yet not being able to open up to anyone or any member or the church board, sir, it has nothing to do with pride. What the Winlos acted is just a tip of what pastors and their families go through. Most of the time the pastor places members even before his family yet members could stop coming to church just because pastor didn't visit them when they were sick or challenged. Pastors who serve in ministries where they are not the GO are the ones that suffer this. Even though I didn't want to say this but I'll let you know that I'm speaking from experience because my husband is a full time pastor with a ministry. There are times that pastors go without food in their houses yet no one knows. In fact, people will still come to that pastor for financial assistance and if he doesn't have to give, you know what they'll say about him, "I went to pastor and with all the messages on giving he has been preaching he couldn't even assist me". These and many more are the cross pastors carry. We can't say it all. Even though we have so many fake pastors who do whatever they can to get rich, we still have sincere pastors, I can testify to that. Also, Christians or believers must come to a point where they must know God for themselves. Your pastor can't always be with you, that's what Jesus told the people, you won't always have me in your midst. There are situations you could be that you won't be able to reach your pastor.
