The Bible says in the Epistles that a woman should not teach or preach or usurp authority over a man. I believe it means they are simply not to Stand in a pulpit and do these things. And it is okay if they share. But not preach. God created man and woman with different roles. Man is the head of woman and Christ is the head of man.

@@NameCallingIsWeak They weren't 'prophets' but preached. Prophesy means to speak or proclaim. The gift of prophesy is to speak by supernatural utterance. A prophet is a particular gift (see eph 4:11-12) and also includes those like Agabus.
