The biggest difference is the ability to optimize the checkout, which from a conversion rate optimization standpoint is huge. Earlier, you were talking about other tax benefits that you have using systems like Avalara and things like that, that are far more complex on Shopify Plus rather than a Shopify Pro.
There are different functionalities. One Optimum7 functionality requires Shopify Plus to implement it because you have to edit the checkout is e-signature functionality. Software and appliance firms can use e-signatures to facilitate business.
Some appliance companies who sell warranties, where they need to dynamically display an agreement on the checkout and fill that agreement with the product details, shipping address, customer’s name and last name, and customer log-in. Shopify Plus makes such a functionality possible.
You can do post-checkout upsells on Shopify Plus. However, you don’t have one-click upsells. Why? For the one-click upsell, you have to be able to alter the checkout, adding custom fields.
Only Shopify Plus allows you access to the checkout SDK. The regular Shopify does not.

Great video guys - Question: If we have a BASIC plan with a working shop, do we need to rebuild the whole thing when we upgrade to Shopify PLUS? I seem to be getting conflicting opinions and wanted to bounce it off you.

No, you would not need to rebuild. It is a smooth transition.

Thanks for the video. Even with change to the processing fee from 2.4% on Shopify Advanced to 2.15% on Shopify Plus. At $5M of annual rev it will still cost you around $13k more than if you were on Shopify Advanced. At $10M a year in sales you are at almost break even when comparing both plans. Obviously the question is what are the new functionalities you get for this additional cost and will it actually increase your bottom line to make up for this increased cost. I'm sure the answer is 'yes' but maybe not for every brand. But at 1 Million in annual revenue that will cost you $23k more per year that will put a lot of pressure on the brand and if sales are not expected you could get wiped out. FYI I converted these costs to Canadian dollars and didn't include the $0.30 transaction fee per transaction if you are a high volume store then this math will be wrong by a greater percent.
    Rev Basic Shopify Advanced Plus
    1M $29,456 $27,260 $28,560 $51,800
    5M $145,45 $131,260 $124,560 $137,800
    10M $290,456 $261,260 $244,560 $245,300
    15M $435,456 $391,260 $364,560 $352,800
    20M $580,456 $521,260 $484,560 $460,300

Such business concept is why we have such economical problems. Concept where "I don't worry how much i spend, i care how much i make" will end with massive inefficiency and uncontrolled cost. As soon first economical crisis will hit or any other setback these numbers will not look so good. And if you look at market for alternative options then with 24K annually you can have by far better solution and you will not pay a dime from your transactions to Shopify etc. So this concept cant be build on idea that as you make X amount its no problem to give 1% to us. Instead it should focus on providing efficiency and functionality. On top - almost all systems are not considering B2G sector which has enormous potential.
