      Omg my pup LOOOOVES getting new "clothes," whenever I ask her if she wants a banana (bandana, lol) on, she FLIES onto the bed and sits still so I can tie one on! And she loves wearing shirts and her puffer jacket! She's a husky so she usually doesn't need much for warmth but my goodness does she ever LOVE feeling pretty, lol! She and Lila would get along great! 🖤

      I would probably get frog bulging eyes. Im older but as a youngster we could test makeup in big stores. So i used to take a eye pencil that looked not touched. In the day the pencils where not in a plastic wrap. So often if used i would get swollen eyes. Also i love make up but couldn’t use all brands. So i did a allergy test. It seemed to be allergic to red coloring and some product that used to keep things better for longer.

      Arn't this make-up less regulated, like it as example could be dangerous for your eyes?

    • @AzmodaeusStern
      @AzmodaeusStern Год назад

      @@teijaflink2226 Less regulation yes, but it mainly depends on sanitation. If their sanitary standards are decent, the makeup is no different from dollar store kids makeup. It's all about what the ingredients are from there. I actually used to buy a bunch when I was in my slime mixing phase and it looked, smelled, and felt exactly like the dollar store stuff. Either they are both unregulated as hell or more likely, what we have is just made in China and then overstock is repackaged and sold at cheaper prices.

    • @Jane00223
      @Jane00223 Год назад

      @@teijaflink2226They're actually well regulated by the Chinese government, since the makeup they sell are actually legit brands there. The factory employees responsible for making the products were overworked and underpaid though.

  • @PrettyWitchCraft
    @PrettyWitchCraft Год назад +157

    An additional factor is that while some aliexpress makeup brands are just Chinese makeup brands that have perfectly fine quality standards, a LOT of them, especially the VERY cheap ones, are made in poor manufacturing conditions and utilize unethical labor. Many of them can include toxic chemicals and are untested products that can be dangerous to your health. These products that are churned out for a couple of dollars in mass manufacturing do not come from ethical places, as the only way to keep things that cheap is to cut corners.

    Just testing out the lipgloss you received for example, there are consumers who have purchased (unknowingly) bootleg cosmetics, and had the unfortunate experience of applying cyanoacrylate on their lips.
    Cyanoacrylate is basically super glue.
    Be SUPER careful, Isabella when you test these type of things, at the very least, test them on your hand first.

      I had that from a brand that said all natural, no artificial things or harmful chemicals. I used it and got a bad allergic reaction, so went to the store with my puffed up eyes barely seeing anything with a friend and the shop said oh i cant be from our products its you that didn’t use it well. So i threw on their desk the full package of product that was a well ment gift from my grandma and said i used all of this its a full facial cleaner,a wash and make up! And its your brand. They didn’t want to take it back but offered a gift card for other products. I said you really want to see me in the hospital do you? We went back home and grandma was there with the best cake with chocolate because she felt so bad for me. She never could imagine that i would react so badly to natural claimed things. She knew i loved body shop but said theres another brand too. Yves Rocher. Now im more aware of brands and im glad I don’t react as fast anymore. So I can use different brands. Like Rituals, Mac, and some brands i wanted to use. Although i still get some reactions, im often try out at home if im not going out so it wouldn’t ruin my day out or date with my husband

    When people ask how someone can be scammed, I ask them if they've ever liked someone who ended up being a total jerk because it's the same. You're blinded by your own belief and (often) how they look on the outside! It's easy to be scammed and everyone has been at least once in their life if you don't think of it as just a purchasing/monetary thing. Just have to learn and be grateful for the people who pointed it out to you at the time when the fog has lifted.

    The biggest red flag is that those random brands don't have any certificates, or they just stamp on some random certificate and call it a day. It can be some dangerous ingredients or the products can be mixed in some vile, disgusting environments, like someone's basement. And the workers probably get paid really low. Stay away.

      @@dottieland7061why though? What is the point of paying so much to test all the products you would use outside of content creation? Because the cost of the cosmetics are low? Because the quality is unmatched in other reputable products & brands? How much are you spending for testing? The overall credibility of your claim is extremely low because it's not logical. There's no way you're regularly using & buying that makeup, and also know they're absolutely safe because you're having everything tested. You'd actually just buy high quality cosmetics that don't need to be sent to a lab to confirm ongoing safety.

    this comment is a little biased/skewed. i’m 💯 not advocating for anyone to buy from these channels. i just want to share my experience with these lives. my girlfriend stumbled upon one of the lives on night, which turned into something she regularly watches purely for entertainment. no clue what the channel’s name is, but the woman who’s regularly on is named kiki. my girlfriend adores kiki’s personality. even though my gf hardly wears anything outside of lip balm, she randomly bought a $40 grab bag, knowing the make up was mostly likely crap, after kiki broke down on stream from being heckled in the chat, which made my gf feel bad. it’s one thing saying the product is garbage, but you cross the line when you personally attack these ppl. anyway, it took a couple of weeks for the order to arrive, which was packed better than anything i’ve ever ordered, and just by looking at the makeup packaging, you can for sure tell it’s all cheap mass produced stuff, although it all looks really adorable. i guess what i’m trying to say is, these lives can be dangerous if you’re ordering from them with any expectation, but, if you consume purely for entertainment/aesthetic purposes, they don’t seem as scammy. i dunno. the makeup and stuff reminds me of those mini plush collectibles and stuff you find at the checkout in target. probably not worth $40 tho.

It's $10" I got so lucky, I started swatching and was amazed at the quality.

This could be why the address is a random one, and if they were relabel incorrectly, is why people get random packages delivered from them 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Address thing: For countries that have a cross-dock (no direct shipping from the manufacturer due to legal/political reasons) - it's just a giant warehouse for everything that local resellers use for, let's say, shipments from China. There are many, many physical stores in smaller countries that have been doing this sort of thing for decades. It's just new in the social media marketing field. It's usually not marketed at all, rather "let's just grab the needed colour/material from the cheap dupe shop". It's absolutely a scam for anyone that isn't aware of the process and thinks they're investing into small businesses developed by struggling youth but it tends to be pretty obvious.

    The biggest issue is not the quality. It’s that these mass made cheap aliexpress type makeup is usually filled with terrible chemicals. There is no oversight into the production. We don’t know the ethical labor behind it. And we have no idea how much lead and other very harmful chemicals are into this. Do not use this makeup on your body regardless of how cheap it is!!
