Numbers are great, but a lot of people want something that works and doesn't need to be specialized to a race bike. Reliability of those better numbers is always better than just pushing numbers.
I have a 124 11.7:1 static cr. CR482 cam. That cam supposed to be easy on those stock springs bc of the short lift but long duration. I ride a TON. 20k a year and I live in chi town. 130hp/140tq.. she quick but I miss when that thing felt like warp speed WOT
That TTS250 cam just plain works!
She's a great cam in the bigger block M8 engines
Your philosophy on longevity is appreciated. Building massive numbers with low reliability unfortunately is a given when high compression is used.
