What an incredible artist and an incredible woman! I am disabled and a poet and it's so rare for me my creative self reflected in the media let alone also someone with a disability being in a relationship or working or becoming a parent. Representation like this is so important to change an ableist world view on what disability means!
My mom had cerebral palsy, affecting only her legs. As kids, we always said that while she couldn't walk, we could never outrun her. She had Go-Go Gadget arms!
Maisie, thank you for sharing your powerful story! I'm so sorry about the loss of your Mom. You definitely have her talent and passion for painting. Your Dad and sister seem very caring and supportive. You are all blessed to have one another. You and Richard make a beautiful couple. Congratulations on your exciting baby news! I'm sure the two of you will be great parents. With the two of you as parents, I can just image the talent and creativity your little one will have. :-)
Amazing story! My four year old daughter has cerebral palsy, not exactly sure which one specifically yet. I cry and worry for her,but this video made me feel so much better!!! Thank you🙏🏽🌹🌹💕💕💕💕💕
This is such an credible story. It’s so wonderful that she has a good life. My neighbour’s son has no life. His brain damage was so severe that he can’t talk, walk, move, or really anything. He has a very low quality of life. It’s very sad. Thank you for sharing her story.
Please don’t erase Maisie’s disability. I Have Cerebral Palsy and at least for me, while I’ve never ‘felt ‘ disabled, it informs everything I am and it is part of me. I know you meant it positively but telling someone ‘they aren’t disabled’ just because they cope well in an able bodied world and do amazing things, really cheapens the journey that our disabilities take us on as people. We ARE disabled at its part of what makes us amazing.
@@TiggiTheWillful she said in the video that being called disabled hurt her. That’s why I said that. She is ABLE to do anything she puts her mind to and ppl use DISABILITY as a way to treat her as less than human which she is not
You're so precious Maisie! And an amazing inspiration! Your talent is incredible as well. I hope that life shows you more and more amazing things with an incredibly blessed future!!! ❤🙏❤

My daughter who has a rare bone marrow disease called P and H recently was pregnant. They took the baby at 29 weeks and he was diagnosed with PVL, so he will have some type of disability. But Mama will love him.
I, about the same as u I’m a painter. Like u Have a speech de felt like u can drive like u . I had 2 strokes so survived believe or not I.m in my 60$ now.
Maisie-- I love you❣️ You have many gifts from God! He has made you amazing! He has given you special gifts My mum was an artist too. She has died, too. How would you like to meet the One Who wants to paint through you, Who made everything? He is real alive -- seek Him with all your heart and you will find Him. Then allow Him, as your loving relationship grows, to paint through you. Read Bible (?avoid all religions clubs or organisations) I have a gallery. I’m learning to paint, too now. Every blessing to you, Maisie -- love Mama jini

I find it ironic that a teacher would label her disabled, yet that body is so incredibly talented and beautiful. 💜
So beautiful that you're carrying on your mom's love of art ♥️ she will live in every piece of art you make

What a wonderful and beautiful young lady. I am so happy for her happiness (if that sentence makes any sense at all).

She will make a great mom.
Her disability is very mild.
She also very beautiful.
That's good painting
Her art would fit in well with the The Evil Within and Silent Hill games.
So talented!
