What a lovely place. Starting by the adventure you feel at finding it and then a super cozy entrance with that amazing tree and then the beauty starts everywhere inside, not to mention the food…question is that a pet friendly restaurant? You see in the back a nice visitor laying down!
I was in GDL last week and we went to an undercover pizza place, no signs just word of mouth it was someones home, the front door was open it was strange but in a good way, it had a dinning room for customers and a patio outside, I think she was illegally doing business lol but it was the best pizza I have had in a long time!!
I had pizza in someone’s home last night too. Except mine wasn’t a secret restaurant. Just a friend with a pizza oven. Finding those secret places is the best!
Perfect ,love these tiny places ,I was in San Francisco awhile back and found this tiny Chinese restaurant yes there is a ton of Chinese restaurants in San Fran but this one was sandwiched between 2 tall buildings and if you were walking fast you wouldn't notice it, it had 3 tables to sit at ,the food was the best I ever had ,orderd the whole crab and they prepared it with a creamy mild chilli sauce omg I can still taste it.
That sounds wonderful. Chinese food is not something that is done well in La Paz. I've never heard anyone rave about (or even recommend) a Chinese place.
O.M.G. Lobster mac & cheese??? Om nom nom! I had my first bone marrow taco in Queretaro. It was outstanding. Being a laboratory science person and knowing the composition of bone marrow, I was a little bit weirded out to try it, but I really liked it. What are you using for your music?
OK - I know nothing about science, and I was freaked out about eating the middle of a bone. That just didn't feel right. Please never tell me what you know that makes it even more questionable! I use Envato Elements. Here's my affiliate link in case you wanna purchase ;-) 1.envato.market/QyjBdM
First off, you're killin' me with the food choices! Just for fun I looked up the price at Salty's for their crab mac n cheese: $32. That was a very educational video. :) BTW, what is Kat's favorite restaurant? Being that you are from Portland, do you know the taco place in St. Johns behind the butcher at La Carniceria? Very yummy.
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico Yep 32 bucks. One of my clients gave me a gift certificate there. I am stretching it out by sharing a meal with my mom so we can go twice. Otherwise, not in my budget right now. Happy hour maybe. :)
Soooo... this video was recorded last year. She now has 3 favorites: Casa del Bagre (her original favorite) plus Bella Caio and M-Bistro. We'll be making a "Kat's 3 Favorite Restaurants" video soon.
YUMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Some of the best places are "hole in the wall" places. That place does not seem to be the exception. Are you sure you're not 500 lbs yet ? LOL. Thanks Brighton P n D

This is my favorite fine dining establishment in LP. The steaks and cocktails are divine!
So true. We need to try the steak next time. We just went thru about a dozen small plates.
I’ll be sure to stop by next time. Tan rico y tan linda La Paz
Exactamente!

I think every restaurant in La Paz is pet friendly. Pretty much everyone has an outdoor area.
We took your advice and tried the Tatanka restaurant. It was excellent! Thank you for the recommendation.
Thank you for trusting my recommendation! I'm thrilled that you had a great experience at Tatanka.
Looks like an awesome meal! I never could have found it. Thanks for sharing!!! Peace.
Glad to share. There were still a few open tables and no line out the door ;-)
Oooohhhh, that lobster Mac n cheese looks and sounds so yummy!!
It was!
We ate there when we visited in January. We had a difficult finding it too and it was after dark. We really liked the place.
It's so worth the effort finding it. And it feels extra special!

@@AlmostRetiredinMexico I haven't found a good Chinese restaurant in GDL yet. I've been looking. I live in the SF Bay Area.
@@Rhaspun Maybe this is an "all over Mexico" issue.
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico I think part of the issue is not having access to certain spices and condiments.
@@Rhaspun That's probably true! But I've heard Mexico City has good Asian food.

Ok definitely a date night destination for Katelyn & I!!!
Definitely. And you should invite friends to make it a double-date ;-)

Kat’s overall favorite is Casa del Bagre in El Centenario. $32 for lobster Mac! Wow.

Have you tried Tiramisu yet?? Best Italian I have ever had!
Yes! I heard he’s moving to a new location…
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico Yeah, I will defo follow him, so good.

...but what's "the one restaurant" Kat loves? Did we already talk about this???
