What a great looking and seemingly well maintained boat! Of the many many boat tour videos I've watched, this is the first one that I've seen with an HF (SSB) marine radio. As a ham radio operator, I'm plased to see that.
Spectacular example of the model. You can tell it was loved and maintained. Well above market price but looks worth every penny of it. Would have liked to see top deck with dingy and such.
Thanks for a concise, yet excellent, review of this "nicely broken-in" Kady, Bill. What a machine! I think the "one of a kind" label could be applied to this one. There is so much boat packed into that small space ... it rivals many 55 and 60 foot yachts for livability, yet at greatly reduced costs for fuel, moorage, maintenance, and insurance. I envy her buyer.
Probably the best long distance economical motor boat afloat. If you have the means and the free time she awaits... "The years thunder by, The dreams of youth grow dim where they lie caked in dust on the shelves of patience. Before we know it, the tomb is sealed." Sterling Hayden.
If you love to fish and be out on the ocean this boat is perfect for a family and friends ❤️I bought my first Trawler back in 86 a 32 footer and had it for 30 years and traded it in for a 45 footer 2017 just like this one but obviously much newer. And wouldn’t own anything else,TRAWLERS ARE THE BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK …That’s my opinion anyway!!! 🤘🏻
We sail on a 1989 IP and have ended up next to several of these boats. When you start with quality and maintain it, this is the result. Asking price is what I would expect on YW.
$319000 for this one there 2 more Krogers an 85 and 86 for half the price, this one seems pricey for a boat with a motor that’s at 40% of it’s life give or take!!!
That queen will have quite the ride while you are doing that ocean crossing. And from your voice it seems like you were struggling to squeeze around that engine space. Just saying.
@@markduncan6690 - Well, to each their own, of course. Many Krogen 42s have made trips across the Pacific and the Atlantic. Voyaging Under Power by Capt. Robert Beebe is a good place to start. i have a first edition and it features James Krogan's designs, i believe the latter editions actually have this very boat.

What if you don’t like fishing? Can you still like the boat?
