Fact remains that the 2JZ is pretty incredible considering it's an i-6 and the "factory block" is capable of handling so much.
RiSkiSS 17 For real though. I mean think about it. A AWD R34 with half that power would probably do 0-60 in a second less, and probably a 0-100 equally fast. Obviously this car has a way higher top speed and can continue to accelerate hard in a high gear, but only after the transmission has handled all the power that the insufficient tires cannot whatsoever. Don't get me wrong anybody, I love the fuck out of supras, especially this one though. But it really needs better traction. Too bad these don't come AWD ;)
Actually, the car is going so fast that the fuel is being pushed to the back of the tank giving the meter an uneven reading. If you look closely at the end, it was climbing back up a little :)
@@Vrtuned You caused me to question myself but just watched it again multiple times. It is 100% 5th gear. 4th is short and he has a tad bit of wheel spin at the top and gets it into 5th at about 115 mph, gets full traction and then shifts into 6th at 150 mph. You can also work backwards... he certainly isn't still in 5th with another gear to go when he finally pulls off the throttle at 170+ mph, that is the 6th and final gear.
@@stevenwilliams9280 this comment is old, but that's 4th gear. The driver just released the throttle to gain traction which almost sounds like a gear shift, but it wasn't
Let me explain this better because nobody gets it. In the amount of time it takes this car to accelerate to 180mph, my car could still not make it to 180kph.
Yeah, sensors at accurate at all, mine car is from 2000, sometimes it likes to trick me by going from 1/4 to half, or half 3/4 and 3/4 to full. Even when I put an extra 2 gal in to be safe, it'll take a couple minutes for the gauge to read it. Plus the force pushing all the gas back to the tank, but yeah 1000+ hp probably used 1/4 of a gallon
The fuel is moving back in the tank, due to the high amount of momentum that the car is distributing. Therefore, it gave the impression that the fuel was going down.
Depends on how long you want your engine to last. I have a 98' supra and i usually don't even go past 6.5k Yes, preferred would be around the 7k range.

Yes, but its because of the G forces on the Fuel . All the fuel is being forced to the back of the tank. You can see it start to go back up toward the end of the video, were the acceleration slows due to being in top gear.
Notice that when he slows down it goes back up a bit. This is because all of the gasoline gets pushed to the back of the fuel tank when accelerating. I've noticed my fuel tank go down in my car when parked on a hill, I imagine this is the same effect.
