I have this! My only complaint - most people have their phone in some sorta’ phone case. Depending on how thick your case is, you may have to gently bend the USB-C connector on the docking station until its loose enough to plug into your phone easily. I have a pretty heavy-duty case, and initially, the connectors weren’t lining up. Eventually, after moving the connector on the docking station’s base back and forth for a while, it connects fairly easily.
Seriously man I buy more crap after I watch your videos than any other RUclipsr out there. As soon as I'm done dropping this comment I'm going to order one of these. I have multiple USB splitters connected to my laptop and, like you, I use the Dex all the time. It's like this product was made for me. Great work as always man. Thanks.
Thanks for this honest review. The USB 2.0 ports, the 15W charging and the 4K@30Hz HDMI ports are a real problems. They should update to USB 3+, 45W+ and 60hz if they want to offer a real alternative to samsung dex.
great review. did you know if this dock support 4k 60hz and 2k output from HDMI ? most Samsung phone or tablet have problem output 2k resolution when you connect the phone to the tv. i for example only get full hd resolution when I connect my s21 to my 4k tv.
You didn't tell his does the display goes into Dex mode? Does it go automatically one HDMI cable is connected or do you have to v enable it on the phone?
I bought this, when on screen mirroring I get serious letterboxing, the screen on my 32" monitor is smaller than my Note or Tab S7 or Z Fold2. How do you fix That?
For future gen of this or revisions, the makers need to changes those useless usb 2.0 out to 3.0+. And change the commecting point to something more versitil instead if only for samsung devices. Not so sure i'd wanna rest my Fold on that lil holder... Ive been looking at lots of Steam Deck docks that shiuld work just fine with my Fold. Prices for steam deck docks are around $30 - $50.
Hi, my English is bad so I want to ask.... They write that it allows 4k at 30fps that only applies to 4k? Is it possible to set QHD or HD at 60fps ? My point is not to put the Note 10 in there and I couldn't just do it at 30fps at any resolution. Thanks for the reply 👍🏻
Hello. Aren't you worried about overcharging the battery/shortening its life? Since it's charging constantly. I found no workaround for this issue saldy and want to use an external monitor that has OLED touchscreen. Couldn't find anything that had a battery (monitors with batteries), OLED and a price that is not something bad completely. I was thinking about Magedok 13,3 fullhd OLED touchscreen. Close enough to Asus zenscreen OLED 13,3 (can't get the later in my country for a long time from now still). I have some questions, maybe you can help. 1. Firstly, Does plugging the power source (to the monitor) stop phone battery drainage? Does it even slow it? I watched reviews, but all they say is that plugging the monitor I can just boost the brightness. So I'm worried it would still consume my phone's battery even when I connect my monitor to energy source (using it's charger). 2. Secondly, if instead the phone is ALSO CHARGED when monitor uses its own charger - Is there any way for me to stop charging my phone when it's not needed? Having the phone charging constantly is very destructive for the battery in smartphones (I had one exploding in the past from being charged too often). 3. If it's not possible to stop charging the phone (when monitor is charging with its own charger) - Can I disconnect the charger from monitor and run the monitor using my phone only (with my phone's battery as the only energy source)? Then I could simply drain the battery to the moment where charging is okay once more (and connect monitor to its charger again). 4. Here I'm worried that 4k OLED could have a bigger energy consumption and won't run with my phone without plugging the monitor into its charger, as I'm interested in either their fullhd or 4k option (I use it pretty close to my face and do very detilaed work so even with small screen it still matters to me). To make your task easier - My phone is Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. It has battery 4500 mAh (if this info helps you with anything).
Two options: The root option - With your phone rooted, there is a way to have your phone limit charging (say up to 80%) with the help of apps like Tasker/Greenify and etc. The non-root option - There is a feature from One UI called "Protect battery" that allows your phone to limit charging up to 85%. We have the same series, I also have an S20+. I'm aiming to game via GeForce NOW and currently eyeing this review right here if a docking station solves my problem.
Does it work with device other than samsung phone/tablet? Does watching netflix while using the dock have lead to any problem, example, monitor screen turns black? Cuz i've been using other types of docking station, watching netflix is a no go for me. Monitor doesn't display anything.
They have a list of supported devices. The only other brand I can confirm is LG.. My V60 works just fine. I've watched Netflix, RUclips and Crunchyroll
Crap product, received it, charging not working out of the box. Other people reporting same thing! Just search youtube and amazon comments. Stay clear of this product people!

🤣Sorry Not Sorry lol. Man I love Samsung Dex! Definitely doesn't get enough credit!
But your gonna love it bro... Thanks for coming through
Those silicone pads are spacers to give the phone/tablet a surface to sit on so it's not just sitting its whole weight on the USB-C plug.

Just about the only thing that stops this from being the best universal docking station is the lack of built-in cooling fan.
Hopefully they come out with an updated version
I wasn't sure what those stickers were for either lol
Atleast I wasn't the only one🤣
Did you connect directly to the monitor or to the computer?
*How many apps you can keep on main screen at once? Not in tsskbar*
Can you use this with cellphone case?
Depends on how thin the case is

Hi, nice video there. Have you tried whether it works with nintendo switch?
thinking about buying one can't find an hdmi cable that works with my s10
Definitely a really good pick up
Does it work with Samsung s21?
Yes sir👍🏿
Thanks siiirr!
@@vdoestech how about the s22 does it work with that
You didn't tell his does the display goes into Dex mode? Does it go automatically one HDMI cable is connected or do you have to v enable it on the phone?
Nice, did you find any better in this price range?
What tablet are you using?!
Samsung tab s7
I bought this, when on screen mirroring I get serious letterboxing, the screen on my 32" monitor is smaller than my Note or Tab S7 or Z Fold2. How do you fix That?
what if i plug the charging cable to to my PC ? can i use the dock like a card reader ?
Does it still fast charge when connected to a screen with mouse and keyboard attached?
Wish my Pxel 7 could do this
If pixel adds a useable desktop mode🔥
Hi Mate, I using 1440p 60hz monitor,
Is this dock can display fit on my monitor?
I wanna buy it.
How many fps does it run in monitor
Samsung phones don't support 21:9 ultrawide resolution in Dex through USB, only through Dex pad/Station. Would this device work for ultrawide?
For future gen of this or revisions, the makers need to changes those useless usb 2.0 out to 3.0+. And change the commecting point to something more versitil instead if only for samsung devices.

Nice I just ordered this dock for my s22 arriving on Tuesday for charging and future dex. :)
Is your dock working fine with ultra s22? Pl give the review.

Samsung Dex Connected with HDMI is QHD 60.. Wireless it is FHD 30
Unfortunately no 4k in Dex
@@vdoestech how about hd? Does it support 120hz
Dex only supports 60.
Hopefully 120 becomes an option one day!
Curious if anyone else would consider this to run multiple wired controls for emulating games or if it would even work ?
Fast charging??
When it's not connected to a monitor
is this work on realme 7i
Sorry not sure
As far as I know, this doesn't allow to bypass Samsungs limitation on 5 apps max.
Try it with the galaxy tab
I tried it with s8 ultra lol fail!
Thanks bro! 😓
how to close the mouse cursor and play normally on the mouse
Sorry not sure what you mean
Good review..btw the name of your Screensaver for your note
Thanks for watching
