Since recording this video I've now played Endeavor Deep Sea two times. Once with Sean and once with Deanna both times playing Mission one and I LOVE IT! Deep Sea is so different from Age of Sail, it's a totally new game with it's own thing going on. It's only really the flow of draft a tile, get discs, spend discs to activate your tiles and the four track system that modifies those actions that's the same. I adore the feeling of exploration due to the sheer number of different boards in the game. Even playing the same scenario twice felt like two very different games due to this variety. The theme is awesome and I really dig the way the game escalates as you get deeper into it. On top of all this the game is actually very easy to learn and quick to play. This one is a total hit for me!
Your assistant tiles look "normally" light colored while my tiles are extremely dark. Unsure if that is due to your overhead lighting or if the printing on your copy came out as intended. For storage, I wish the dive tokens were handled differently but everything else is great (I have microscopic lid lift even with the expansions stored). The orca expansion looks like a near must include every game, the Academy looks like it offers some great mid-to-late game benefits, and the Wanderer looks just okay to me. Another positive is each player color had an extra impact token and action disc, so that was handy. I can see this being the crowd funding game I backed that gets the most played.
One other observation is the box dimensions are BIG (12.75”x12.75”x3.75”), which dwarves BGG’s incorrectly stat of matching a Days of Wonder box size. It is slightly larger than Zombicide 2nd Ed except box depth is a bit smaller.
I don't think it's the lighting. Check out some of the pictures I've shared on social media. They aren't all that dark. I'm with you on the dive tokens, they are annoying. It feels like you could have stacked them in the top left corner where there isn't anything currently. I haven't done it yet but I plan to toss them into air dry clay containers or maybe just a ziplock bag. Sean and I are loving the game so far but Deanna is finding all of the small icons on the board to be a major problem with her vision issues. Which is made worse as you put stuff onto the tiles so can't just pick them up and look at them.
@@TabletopBellhop A few people cut a hole in that top left corner of the tray and in there they store the dive tokens in a small baggie. I feel for Deanna because there are so many small icons on the exploration tiles, and trying to see the icons on the assistants while they are in the tray is impossible from a distance. Regardless of some of the visual issues, the gameplay is so fun and each action feels good thanks to the benefits they all provide.
I'm sorry we can't help you there. When I recorded this the retail version didn't even exist yet. In our review we talk about whether or not the Deluxe is worth it, but we don't have a retail version to unbox.

Wow this one looks amazing! This sounds like one we’d enjoy a lot. Thank you for the fantastic unboxing and explanations ☺️
@@Board_Game_Beans you are welcome. This is our top game of 2024.

@@christopherleary7934 Nice. Great minds and all that.
@@christopherleary7934 yeah it's a big box but fits a Kallax very nicely. Better than Age of Sail
I am looking for an unboxing of the retail version. All unboxing videos are about the deluxe version.
