Me and a buddy were talking about this song after it dropped and we think there was some similarities and dare we say some possible callbacks to Wonder Girls "Like This"... Which is plausible since both groups are JYPE artists, so they could have references or callbacks just like YG artists like to do. I think it might be a little inspired by the wizard of oz but I could also be wrong but I think it shows the tin man in Haewon’s part with the watering can, the scarecrow that shows up, and then the dog which is the lion. I also saw another reactor say this and said the window before Haewon’s watering scene looked like a window from the wizard of oz. But I don’t know this is just what I think and what I saw another reactor said

The Scarecrow is in the dashboard of the car, the dog is representing Toto, and even they CGI a mane onto the dog to represent the cowardly lion.
This channel's reactions to NMIXX have legit helped to change my mind with the breakdown/interpretation of the lyrics. I'll admit, when O.O dropped I was initially a hater. DICE dropped and I liked it, though I wasn't yet behind the change up. By then it had been a good while since the debut, so I relistened with fresh ears; it was indifference then but I kept going back cause it tickles my brain.
Now I'm entirely behind NMIXX. The change of implementation for Mixx-pop for this cb was jarring at first ofc cause we were all expecting another change-up, but they changed it up on us and gave us something we didn't expect

Sweet oasis era = once u eat the green substance you will lose your diversity or ability to imagine thats why they toned down the switch ups but this is undoubtedly mixxpop

I'm sucker for a group who 80-90% of their members are an amazing vocalist, don't get me wrong, all of them can sings and stable, but some members just the type who can be successful as a solo artist, nmixx are one of them, people dislike their older tittle but I still like them, their concept is solids, and dont mention their talents it's just amazing.

Wizard of Oz, before when she waters the soil and flowers bloom, we can see the lion who is the scarecrow, the watering can who is the one with no heart in the fairy tale... and then they are all from fairy tales and there is even little red riding hood... sleeping beauty, white queen... aaaaaa I want to understand better... Including the dog after Little Red Riding Hood picks him up, at minute 1:44 of the MV, he resembles both a little wolf and a lion (because they put some effects on him) and also the cat from Wonderland. Going on the heart of steel the can and scenery Haewon was in strongly resembles that of the Tin Man in Dorothy and The Wizard of Oz who was made of metal and wanted a heart which l think fits into the lyrics aswell as how Haewon was dresssed😄

I think the music does sound like a 90’s MTV kind of music you’ll hear. The MV is prolly inspired by the wizard of Oz, like how they were all transported to a different genre due to the tornado on the Dice MV. Now, with LMLT they’re trying to find that kind of love that would complete them like the ones missing from the characters from Oz.

We are still not sure but definitely giving wizard of oz vibes! So most likely has something to do with that? We know the scarecrow in Wizard of Oz is Dorothys friend and helps her along the way and they also say he has good pitch and musical rhythm? So maybe something with that too? Haha. I agree. Actually, I can see the Wizard of Oz reference in the MV especially when Haewon watered the place and then yellow flowers blossomed as if it was a yellow brick road. I’m still figuring out how this falls into the lore tho. I know Dice was heavy on the Alice in Wonderland references and then we have Wizard of Oz now. I’m just trying to find the connection between the two. Altho, the video is still heavily NMIXX coded and nothing feels out of place. 👌
What’s odd or maybe reaching is that I also see resemblances with other JYP group like the diamond heart at the end of bridge closely resembles the heart at end of Twice’s Moonlight Sunrise that Dahyun opens.
