Fly Fishing for Snook in Florida!

- My wife Morgan and I traveled to SW Florida for a week. I haven't done much saltwater fishing, but did a little research and brought along a couple rods. The last few days of our trip we stayed at a beach house on North Captiva and I fished from the shore for snook and anything else that would bite!
After catching a baby tarpon on Sanibel Island a few days earlier I was able to add five new species to my fishing list - baby tarpon, snook, pompano, leatherjacket, and ladyfish.

First 2 fish that you weren't sure of looked to be jack crevale third was a skipjack. Those skipjacks spines hurt. Lol
Be careful with the fish at 6:50, they have belly spines that really sting. Leatherjacket. Love snook on fly!
Yeah I figured that out after I got stuck! You can see me looking at my hand for a while then I put on gloves for the rest of them! Didn't know what a leatherjacket was before then.. 😬
@@JasonSwingensaw the gloves come out haha. Not nearly as bad as a saltwater catfish, though. Next summer try the east coast for some big breeder snook, whole other ballgame
