Hope you learned something about the wizarding world in this very different time. What video next? Comment down below!
Where do you get all this information from??
I loved it. It would be great to get more history.
Suggestion:
Top muggle interactions ( wizards caught by muggles )
Please!!
Why didn't you include anything about Merlin???
so a recent realization that has been bugging me since my last re-read through the books and would make a great video is how Harry seems to have an affinity for resisting the 3 unforgivable curses. He is the only known survivor of the killing curse(in no less than 3 separate instances), he is able to almost completely resist the imperious curse on the first try when cast by a powerful dark wizard, and he seems to gain more and more resistance to the crucio curse each time its used on him until he is completely immune in the end. I'm curious what logical reasoning you can find for why he is so adept at resisting all 3 curses.
This is what I love about the wizarding world it’s no longer just a film or book franchise, it’s interwoven in our history and it’s a part of British culture, quidditch, dragon breeds and wizarding wars, JK Rowling has truly created something beautiful for children and adults to dream and wonder if magic truly does exist in all of us
That’s muggle talk
Uhhhh loooooossssssseeeerrrrrrr
Continuing the knowledge of more centuries would be fantastic! This is wonderful information, and anyone who is a fan but lacks the time to research on their own would appreciate this kind of video. Thank you for being such an amazing place to gather knowledge.
I wholeheartedly second this.
Making a Harry Potter game or movie set in this era would be amazing
Yes
Give me a wand and sword

I had no idea the HP universe was this rich in lore, wow! Now I hope Avalanche will make more games like Hogwarts Legacy in different time periods and maybe revolving around other schools and/or factions. You should keep going until you reach the 20th century, btw, I'd definitely be interested in learning more about this universe. ^^ Also, as a video idea, maybe you could try and design your own game, conceptually, set in the Wizarding World. 👀
Yes please! More videos on Wizarding history.
Video idea for you to do:
What additional effects do spells have that are not seen in the movies? For instance, what else can the patronus charm do besides ward off dementors?
Being a New Harry Potter fan videos like this are such a help and your entire channel overall has been Incredible I'm buying the First three books because of you thanks HP Theory!
Great video Matpat, Game Theory is great
Wow i asked for this one quite a while ago! Amazing to see it's been made😁 going for a watch now👀😊
I wish Joan would tell us more about topics such as Herpo, the Peverells and the way they worked, etc
very much appreciable efforts you've put there! Thanks as always ❤️
can you make a video on ways to cure anne in hogwarts legacy? phoenix tears? time turners? has to be a bunch of ways
appreciate the effort for these videos. however, where are you sources? citations would be awesome!
I've been watching your videos a lot the past few days and wanted to know something, maybe I'm not a big enough Harry potter nerd or maybe you already made a video about it, bit is it known how Voldemort learned how to make hora cruxes? It's something so dark, most dark wizards dont wanna teach it or talk about it, so how did Voldemort know it?
Keep making these awesome videos
In addition to the creation of the Golden Snitch, it was created by a Wizarding Smith named Bowman Wright who lived, worked and created the Snitch in non other than Godrics Hollow.
I wanna see a video on how and why Harry resisted the Imperio. I always wondered. I imagine it was due to him being a horcrux, and he had two people in him... would be interesting to have a video on it.
How fascinating!!!! I love history lessons on the wizarding world!
It’s always fascinating to learn more about the history of the Wizarding World. 10:12 Therefore, I’d definitely be interested to see you do a video on the following centuries.
if you transfigure an animagis into an animal that isnt their animagis animal can they change form from one animal to another. for instance when moody (barty crouch jr) turns malfoy into a ferret. if malfoy was say a snake animagis could he switch since animagis changes are wandless (since sirus could do it in azkaban we know he didnt have a wand aswell as ugadou being majority wandless animagi). And considering they can change back from their animal form.
Amazing video as always, I was just wondering, if Goedelot was born in the 10th Century how could he posses the elder wand as Antioch Peverell wasn't born until 1214? :))
Good question, hope it gets answered.
I'm pretty sure that antioch peverell was the only 'known' possesor of the elder wand after godelot's son. There could have been eight to ten witches/wizards who wielded the elder wand until antioch peverell
@@necromage843 Antioch peverell was said to be either the creator or the initial recipient of the elder wand through death himself, this all occurred in the 13th century ~300 years after goedelot
He got this wrong, Godelot was a medieval dark wizard which starts in 1500, he was not a 10th century wizard.
Amazing how JK Rowling has greatly expounded the Harry Potter lore up to this point wherein we're talking about characters and events centuries older than Harry, Ron, and Hermione, when she first wrote about them on pieces of used paper while waiting for her train ride
So I had all the Harry Potter games available at that time on the PS2, and my two absolute favorite was prisoners of azkaban and quidditch, quidditch was low key just wizard fifa and it was REALLY good
I really want know how Muggle hunt Wizard and Witch in medieval era and somehow force Wizard and Witch to living in hiding.
I like to think that the witches in Macbeth were Hogwarts students. In Prisoner of Azkaban (movie only I think) a school choir sings the song the witches sang.
In that case, I have a couple of questions for you:
1. What House were they in? Slytherin?
2. Would they have donated that song of theirs to the Frog Choir (the choir that sings that song)?
@@YellowBear-kx1ff
I think they would have been two Slytherins and one Ravenclaw.
The real Macbeth lived in the 11th century and died probably around the time Hogwarts was approaching its 80-year anniversary, so they were probably only one generation removed from the people who actually knew the Hogwarts founders, and very distant in time from the Frog Choir. Perhaps the song was an invention of Shakespeare (a wizard in the HP-verse, no doubt) or perhaps not. Either way, the song was sang in Hogwarts to celebrate the school's ancient heritage.
@@fjLKA If Shakespeare was a Wizard in HP, what House would HE be in? Ravenclaw?
@@YellowBear-kx1ff Hufflepuff
I just came here to say we aren’t transphobic just because we love Harry Potter ❤ we love people too and what they do with their body and self identify as is their business.
can the killing curse not kill everything? why didn't homie just use that on the dragon?
Isn't the Bloody Baron supposed to be a younger guy as he was in Hogwarts school as a student when the Helena fiasco was going on
Yeah I'm gonna need a continuation
nice
Great video but I just want to correct you on a small mistake- You said that Salazar Slytherin refused to admit HB students to Hogwarts. Salazar accepted HB and the only blood status nonsense he was against were MB only. Salazar would have loved Durmstrang because they accept only PB and fanatical HB. There is a theory that in some point Salazar was the school manager of Durmstrang so maybe it's true.
Yes! Please! More centuries to cover!
Are we getting a stream tonight??
After seeing all the destroyed castles and stone buildings around Hogwarts in the game it made me wonder about the older civilisation in the area. Were they all standing around the time of the school’s founders? Who or what caused their destruction? Something to think about.
Sir Cadogan is a real English man and its pronounced 'Ser Ca - dag - un'. think about the other famous knight:
'Ser gal - a - had'
I know it's weird but it's old english. The o is pronounced as an 'ah' and the last a is pronounced 'un'.
@harrypottertheory
Whats your source for all this.
I also want to read.
You know what I want to know? Just how far can you combine magic and technology in Harry Potter?
Like I know you can make vehicles fly, and the night bus can essentially teleport, but how much more can you do by combining technology and magic together?
You can conceal artillery for one
Wait is that how we pronounce Cadogan? Did we watch different prisoner of Azkaban films?
Isn't it the sorcerers stone?
Sorceror's Stone is the American title. The original is Philosopher's Stone. Scholastic seemed to think American kids wouldn't be interested in a book about a boy wizard and a Philosopher's stone. They changed a lot of things unnecessarily.
@@lisatasch5501 thanks I thought I took to much
Lol @ the Malfoys helping the at the battle of Hastings.
Guess appearence from Father from Bread Boys?
I love her Hogwarts legacy actually explains how the snake is actually able to live so long without food he pretty much put a sleeping spell on it that's what it says in the game and since it is canon that means it's true
Yeah tell us everything about the past histories
He sounds like Star Wars theory sometimes
Have you ever thought of applying for the job of Professor of History of Magic at Hogwarts, or Ilvermorny? Think about that. Yes, let's have more of these history videos.
I wonder if Hogwarts was the first ever magic school? And if so, what witches and wizards did before then
What keeps goblins and elves from getting wands? I know it's illegal, but that wouldn't stop someone who really wants a wand from getting it.
Maybe wands refuse to choose a non-human? Or maybe there are anti-goblin charms on every wand? But if that's the case, goblins are talented enough to make their own wands anyways
You don’t need wands to channel magic. The Africa school specializes in this. And in Hogwarts Legacy one of the first goblins you see uses an enchanted gauntlet
u mean mudbloods not halfblood right?
