So papa John, huh?
2019 vidding year started for me with the Winchester's family reunion. Gotta say at first I will deny present Mary till I die. I just can't deal with her, I don't like her character, how she acts, and just the whole thing with her coming back is too weird for me. I will live with only s1-5 Mary in my head.
As for the video,it was pretty tricky for me (do I always say so?) 1) this is such a complicated story and there are so many layers to it that it's really hard to combine somewhat full picture of this family 2) I guess the reason why I've started make less "voiceover videos" because I'm bad at them. I just don't know how people make them in big quanity, but head starts to explode when I try to build the storyline of the video. I think where should I start, how it should ended, which quote should lead to the next one ect ect and it's just a giant mess. 3) again it's so damn hard to combine in one video stories of these three people. Like John has his troubles, Sam has his own very difficult relatinoship with John and with hunter's life and other things, Dean, this precious human being, also has this I love you all so much, but you hurt me so much thing, so yeah... tricky it's one word for it.
I guess this video woud be like dozens very much alike ones, because 300th episode will probably inspire lots of people to use pretty similar scenes, but that's okay. I just needed to make something.
The thing is, a bit like Dean, I have daddy issues. I think Dean and John's relationship was one of the reasons why I was so connected to the show. So when papa Winchester makes a visit I can't miss it.
Anyway. I talk to much of course, and nowadays it doesn't seem popular to write such huge descriptions to the videos, but I love talking about creating process, the thoughts behind the video and all this stuff, so maybe some of you would not die of boredom reading it.
I know I maybe terrible at replying comments (though I read them all of course), but now I finally installed a youtube app, so I hope I'll be better.
I also want to thank you all for watching and commenting my videos. After such a long break I thought I would get easily forgotten, but you write very very flattering comments and not only to the last video, but even to the older ones. I maybe can't express my gratitude properly, but it does mean a lot for me and I'm very grateful for all your feedback.

Stunning. In every way, this was perfection - I loved the slow, simple beauty of it. I will never understand why the show started writing John as a bad father after JDM became famous, it was a huge disservice to a character that loved his children and did his best to raise them as well as he knew how - for them to have had a normal life given the horrors they knew and were destined to be exposed to would have made no sense. I'm going off track - I loved this, you did a beautiful job. In fact, I think I'll watch it again
The correlation between the song and the video (aka sam and deans relationship) was absolutely flawless and the way you began and ended the video was just perfect. I actually hadn’t watched a fan vid in a while but like always yours caught my eye . I really liked the part in 1:18-1:27 where it shows sam and john fighting but you cant actually hear what they’re saying you only hear sam explain the reasoning behind his actions . That part actually gave me chills and was just beautifully done by you. I also loved the beginning where dean assures sam that the monsters wont ever get his dad when in the end the very monster he was trying to kill for so long is what killed him and all of it done to protect his sons . He had alot of flaws but just like sam and dean are each other’s weakness Johns sons were his . I especially liked the line where the song says”and your father has made you all that you’ve become ““ and how you paralleled it with sam,dean, and john hugging one last time .There are of course a million other things i loved about your vid but it would take to long to list them all theres just one last thing I’d like to mention. I cannot believe i didn’t know you had dad issues . I too have them and its also a huge reason why I relate so much to the show. Looking back at all your work I somehow admire it even more and see how much of yourself you put into these vids . You are amazing and I’m glad that even though it was difficult to make this vid you still pushed through it . 😊😊😊
Really? Daddy issues high five! Yeah to be honest vidding this "has made you all that you've become" and put there this "I'm so proud of you" was so emotional for me,because I was (and is) also so influenced by my dad and I also would like him to approve me as a person,so yeah.. This theme of supernatural always was very close to my heart.

Oh my, I'll never stop being astonished by all the work and heart, and soul you put into your videos! All the emotions of seeing these characters you've loved for so many years, finally getting such an emotional and perfect moment of reconciliation and vulnerability, seeing these men become kids again in the last episode, such a sweet send-off for John, all of it just pours out of this video and onto my wounded by the last few weeks of the show heart. @@stevenhernandez9061 I've started to watch the show somewhere in the middle of season 7, but still it's been many years and I'm so used to SPN being there, you know? Well I guess we all are. I can't say I'm a big fan of last seasons, so I had some process of slowly letting the show go, but I think it's gonna take some time anyway

I mean if you think about it seeing a show for 14 years and some change now is crazy because not many shows can say they've made it that far

youre the first channel where i watched spn fan videos you are also my favorite. i discovered your channel in 2014 (the name of the video was "sam and dean - somebody to die for" still my favorite) and it was like yesterday, time flies so fast and now there is a final season for spn. it's really sad but i will never forget this channel, these beautiful videos. i swear, every time, i cry when i watch these beautiful videos. you put so much heart and soul into these videos and you're just amazing. You will forever be my favorite video maker, especially when it comes to SPN vids. This is so touching and beautiful. A while back I asked what program you used for editing, I have sony vegas pro now but I'm wondering where you get your clips from.

Huh clips is the tricky question. You see I download them with torrent files, but it's illegal in many countries you gotta check on that. I know some of the people have DVD's and they use it somehow. I think the best thing is to ask a few video editors, google the information and then try something which will suit you.
hey, I've just remembered a couple moments which might help you in the future. If you'll be looking for the episodes, try to search with word "WEB" in title, it means the video won't have a watermark in the corner and if you want to have voices without music in the background you need to find episodes with 6ch sound, it means the music and voices will be on separate tracks. Hope it helps.

I read that it can be good to get clips from dvds but I wanted to make a video about a show’s season that isn’t on dvd yet! Where do you typically go to access clips for the still-airing seasons of shows that you’re vidding? I would appreciate any help you can give me ❤️

Thank you!And no worries, you can ask anything, it's not a problem :) so about clips it's kind of difficult, because well, I use download them through torrent files, but it's illegal in a lot of countries, so if you want to try that way you need to check information if it's okay in your country or not.
And yes, I still use sony vegas 13 version now, but I was using 10 version for a long long time and honestly there's no difference (I just changed it because I changed my PC)

The Winchester Family. Such a bittersweet Supernatural fashion to give us the John of the past that was the hardened shell and not the present one wherever he is
I think it's been a diffcult task to decide how John should be while making such an appearance (I mean being not in his time). Because there's so much between all of them and at the same time so much time has passed.. I think it was pretty good version of John all thing considered and at least boys got their goodbyes.
@@Alina0405video but John didn't get his goodbyes and that's what's hard. Because the only way we see a present John is him fighting something he needs Sam and Dean's help to hunt. But it'd be interesting to know if in someway he helped them in every season after he died.

@@Alina0405video oh I loved it. I just know Supernatural prefers bittersweet endings over happy resolutions. ;) But out of the milestone episodes the 200th remains my favorite. The 300th would be my next favorite and then the 100th. This 14th season is handling the main storyline and monster of the week formula really well though.
I agree with you, even musicals isn't my thing and I can't say I like when writes try to sort of include fans in the show, still 200th episode has really nice feeling. And yeah I think after previous seasons s14 seems most close to the balance of basic hunting episodes and sam&dean moments
