In memory of Liza Fomkina and in honor of the search and rescue organization Liza Alert. In 2010, 5-year-old Liza died with her aunt from hypothermia in the Russian wilderness after a 9-day unsuccessful search operation. Less than three weeks after Liza was found dead, some of the around 500 volunteers who had helped in her search founded Liza Alert to prevent the recurrence of a similarly tragic child death.
