@eddiesaviarycom-fu9me I don’t know where you live but we have lots of breeders around here infected with parvo. It gets in the soil and it’s there for years
My dog was 2 weeks old when i got him and got parvo I paid $275 with a 50/50 chance of survival, he lived 12 more years and I never have regret spending that money.
🙌!!! My cousins dog got parvo. She couldn’t afford vet care. She slept in the tub with him, made sure he was ingesting baby food and water. She had to force feed him that stuff. But after a week he pulled through.
I've raised purebred rottweilers for the last 21 years and had 3 die from parvo (rottweilers are more affected by parvo than most other breeds). The defendant was absolutely right when she said the plaintiff's could have contracted the virus while dog shopping at other kennels that week. A small group of kids stole one of my pups and after offering a reward I was able to recover it after a few days. However, the puppy had been exposed to parvo during that short time period and died after 3 days of me having her back. The parvo lived in my yard for nearly 2 years, even after several treatments and killed 2 more of my dogs during that time. There's no way the parvo came from the defendant's home...the defendant's other dogs (at least one of them) would have certainly tested positive as well. I would bet my bottom dollar the plaintiff's contracted it while dog shopping that week. That's exactly how parvo works.
The fact that her puppies have ear mites and worms means she is a bad breeder, because they can only have come from the mother dog and therefore she is not de-worming her dog, nor giving it anti-parasite drops, so where does she get off asking for $500 when she is not forking out the slightest cent, and aren't puppies supposed to be sold with a certificate of health, so where was that, oh that's right it would have cost her money to get that from a vet, which she didn't want to do?...
One of my dogs had parvo I went to tractor supply administered the parvo shot myself and nursed her back to health by giving her gatorade and keeping her away from my other dogs. She is healthy and doing amazing so glad I was able to get rid of the virus.
@leggs4113 what!? You're a huge no no for trying to correct me. I did what I did and I don't regret it bc I still have my dog. Most vet clinics charge over 2000 just to end up putting them down. You're dumb AF GTF off my comment
Second options take time and this little puppy was against the clock. Unfortunately, I don’t think anything would have helped her. At 2 pounds parvo was a death sentence 😢
Would never pay 500$ for a tiny mix dog. Never. Go to the rescue instead. Hate private puppy mills with ugly mix dogs. Criminals. So many dogs needs homes
Parvo, like distemper, can be transferred by fomite contamination. Parvo is ubiquitous in the environment, that is but one reason why we vaccinate. It isn't just the parvo, there are intestinal parasites and ear mites too. That reflects very badly on the breeder.
The defendant has a good point. They could very well have picked up parvo somewhere and were carriers of it. They did see and expose that puppy a few days before purchase, giving it time to effect the puppy and then test positive a few days after bringing the puppy home. If the defendant other dogs didn't have parvo, then I vote the parvo did come from the buyers, via transfer..
I’ve had multiple pups that had Parvo, and they survived. Dehydration is what usually causes a death so idk why the Vet said there wasn’t anything he could do. The treatment is fluids, meds, and rest.
I feel as if the judge got this one wrong. Its unlikely for just one of the litter to get parvo. I'm betting when they took the dog to the vet the first day is when it picked up the parvo.
Having only one pup from a litter pick up parvo is very unusual. Not an expert so I can't say it's impossible but I've never heard of it. As much as I felt sympathy for the plaintiffs, they didn't meet the burden of proof and should have lost the case.
@@hottuna2006 it happens occasionally but since parvo is so contagious, its very unlikely for just one pup to get it unless they picked up elsewhere. I have a feeling that the pup picked it up elsewhere because of that.
I got 5 puppies shipped across country by a special shipper and there were more dogs on the trip to other homes across state lines . When my puppies arrived one was sick the following day I did test all my 5 puppies and only one had parvo I immediately went to the vet within two days all the 9 week puppies got parvo but initially for 48hrs only one had it and I believe it did come from the shipper. I later found out through the breeder that the day my puppies were shipped was the only day the vet could see them for the health certificate and he had given them their parvo and set of shots that morning so it shouldn’t have been shipped there wasn’t enough time for the parvo shot to protect my puppies. Only two of my puppies didn’t get parvo and one was 10 months old show champion he had all his vaccines up to date and a 12 week old puppy also had all his shots up to day unlike my three 9 week old puppies that were defenseless. The vet treated them and wasn’t sure they survived but with much pedialyte and ambers naturals tinctures paxxaid and vibactra they all survived I saved all my dogs and it cost me less than 100.00 lessons learned never ship your dog go and pick it up it is not worth the trouble
Parvo lives on a human’s hair and that vet could have come into contact with parvo and given it to the puppy when she held it. My dad, a veterinarian, healed many a dog from parvo with correct treatment.
Also, the dog having worms isn't too much of a surprise. Puppies usually have worms, they get it from the mom, but if they've been dewormed, it's not an issue.
If you keep up with worm treatments for the parents and are responsible, worms are not common. Parvovirus is deadly and something completely different. It can stay in the soil for decades and parvo in this case has an incubation period that doesn’t match very well.
Absolutely not. No puppy should have worms. Puppies get worms from their mother. So the mother should not have worms! If you're a responsible owner, no pet should have worms! The defendent should NOT be breeding. No excuses.
This is just a PSA to ANYONE who needs it the timeline for parvo is 2 WEEKS 1 week for your dog to get it and start to show signs the first 3 days of week 2 will define wether your dog dies or lives make sure they DO NOT stop drinking water and Pedialyte FORCE them to drink it if you have to but they NEED to be hydrated that is the main reason parvo dogs die and maseca helps build stomach constantly keep where they are CLEAN
I had a litter of puppies once. 4 got parvo but the rest of the litter was fine. So totally possible it came from the breeder. I was told that flies can carry parvo too if they landed on poop from a parvo infected dog. I was super careful with them as well, disinfecting everything with bleach. But can't stop flies.. I only lost one puppy from the 4 that were infected, and we really tried with that one pup. Daily IVs, anti nausea shot from the vet, forced feeding. It just wasn't enough 😢
Lol. Why is Douglas - the baliff sleeves so tight? Im knit picking. But everytime i see him- i think he's about to strip & give a show . Wishful thinking on my part
Would've been good to see the proof of the other puppy, the granddaughter's one. She only showed the parents and the Mike puppy. Also nothing regarding the worm. Shouldn't they have been wormed?
Nope parvo is highly contagious if none of the litter had parvo, that puppy could’ve picked it up anywhere. Parvo lingers so it could be in their grass from a neighborhood dog. If the vet didn’t try to save the puppy it was because the plaintiffs didn’t want to pay for the procedure. It isn’t cheap, it’s a process. If you love your pet enough, you’ll do it. It’s like cancer. They can absolutely recover with the right relief
they have parvo in their house now!! They got parvo at the vet's. ....when the other pups have NO parvo, it's almost guaranteed proof that it did NOT come from the breeder's place. Judge Milian needs to study up on animal issues.
I saved both my puppies that had parvovirus! I literally gave them pedialyte, by day 3 they were up moving around drinking water and eating, by day 5 they were driving me crazy again 😂❤
How did the daughter in law get the defendant's number? Also, I'm pretty sure the parvo didn't come from the defendant. No way only one dog has parvo, and none of the other dogs in the house did. The plaintiffs being advised not to get another dog for a year, should have been evidence enought that it didn't come from the defendant.
I so agree!! I've been through this after my son brought his buddies dog to my home..All 6 of my small breed dogs were infected..It was during Covid so I treated all of them at home..I lost 2 of my 3lb Chihuahuas bc they were just too small,,,but I saved the other 4..It's hard work but it was MY JOB to take care of them
Harvey, I'm all for adopting dogs. One time, I adopted a puppy from a shelter. She died two days later due to parvo. I've adopted one other dog since then. Idk, I feel a certain type of way about it all.
Just another unethical breeder, breeding 2 random pets together and throwing micro and teacup on the name to try and get the most money they can. She didn't even treat the dogs for parasites (which takes a breeder a couple bucks to treat). Parvo can literally come from anywhere. So many pet people instantly take their pups to pet stores, groomers, let them run around vet floors, take them to dog parks, etc right after they get them. Within 3-4 days, they can easily show signs of getting it. The smaller the dog, the faster it shows after catching it. Because the pup was showing signs of parvo of around 2 days after having the dog, then yes, I do believe it came from her. Add the fact that there was a huge case of worms, that pup never had a fighting chance. This is what a BYB is.
Puppies are likely to have worms transferred from the mother. That's why you always want to deworm them. Nothing dangerous at all, as long as you take care of it.
I hate all these makeshift breeders. If y’all want a dog- go to a rescue or a registered/vetted breeder. Too many folks out here getting dogs from people who have no experience with dogs nor can they guarantee the health of the animal.
Wouldn't really recommend a rescue because they lie about the dogs breed all the time to unsuspecting people who have no experience with said breed and also their history is mostly unknown. Vetted Breeders though, totally recommend.
Doug telling the man that he's sorry that the man "will be without a companion for a while." Meanwhile his wife is standing there next to them thinking: "What am I? Chop liver ?" Sound like the plaintiffs have one nasty DIL that stuck her nose in where it didn't belong. Maybe the defendant should find out where the DIL works and the send the DIL's company HR department the nasty letter/text she sent.
Mmmm I don't see how the puppy died after 5 days if it already had parvo before they got the puppy....seems more likely to me that the plaintiff picked up parvo when looking at other dogs after paying the deposit. And all the pups are fine....strange and sad 😢
I seldom disagree with this judge; however, in this case I do. I believe the defendant made a good case that the virus could have been picked up, by the buyers, at another location (I actually had this happen at my home, almost 50 years ago). In my opinion there was actually more evidence that the virus could have transferred off the clothing of the buyers, than had originated in the home where the pups came from. I would have dismissed claims from both sides and tell them that there wasn't enough proof for where the virus came from.
You think the Judge Millian is stupid, a fellow dog owner who has owned many dogs. You have no idea where dogs can parvo. They can get in the breeders back yard.
As much as I felt sorry for the plaintiffs, they definitely didn't meet the burden of proof. None of the breeder's other pups having it should have been enough for improbability of plaintiff's claim.
@@trekgirl65she is often stupid. 🤷♂️lmao There’s no proof it came from her house. If they had proof other dogs from her had it( like testimony from other buyers) then sure but they had nothing. Parvo can come from anywhere
My puppy I got from a friend caught parvo and I took her to the vet and $450 later she was fine!! They said I brought her in just in time to treat her, if I had waited another day she wouldnt have made it. But it is treatable. Idk why the vet told them it wasnt treatable.
This pup could have totally picked up parvo at the vet. People used to think it was cute to allow their puppy to walk around on the floors in the waiting room. Would you put your newborn on a daycare floor?
I disagree with the ruling it doesnt make sense that nun of the other dogs in the litter got parvo but that dog did. I think they gave it to the dog from picking up other dogs.
The veterinarian of the defendant stated the dog were "chihuahuas," not chihuahua mixes. I am a bit suspicious of her vet's statement and the dog the vet actually examined.
Once upon a time a mixed breed puppy was called a 'mongrel' or 'mutt' and was worth nothing, nowadays, they give it a fancy name and charge a fortune, yet it's still a mongrel and you can't breed with it, expecting more puppies identical to the parent, because as with any 'mutt' you never know what you are going to get...
No dog is worth more than a few hundred dollars However mutts are ALWAYS genetically healthier and usually cheaper to care for long term so they are worth it.
Sorry. But when they did the first fecal it’s not how it works. If it had parvo when it was purchased it would’ve been visible on the first sample. They don’t just “pick and choose “ what they see. And they should’ve went to a different vet bc it absolutely is curable especially if they took it the day after they “noticed symptoms”. The dog I promise you wasn’t locked in the house the whole time they had it.
Pay the market price asked for a puppy from a reputable breeder. If you are looking for a bargain the adopt. Good dogs from reputable breeders cost close to, and more than, $1K.
Eeh, its highly unlikely it came from the defendant. I definitely think it came from the Plaintiffs. People are not too smart when it comes to new puppies. They'll set them right down in any grass to potty. Have to use your brain... They're too little for that.
Shelters our bursting at the seams with animals that need a home. Breeding is annoying in that way (esp back yd breeding)and so are the people who choose that route.
Understand that the daughter-in-law harass that lady and everything like that but the daughter-in-law's not the one getting sued for the countersuit the plaintiffs are in and they didn't write that to the ladies so her case for them automatically goes out the window because she's not doing the right person for harassment
Every "real" breeder I've had dealings with put their self to shame. Dogs were sick, broken tail, you name it. The backyard breeders were more honest, cared about the dogs over money, and I never had an issue.
the pup likely got the virus from the vet...and rescues spay and neuter so young these pups are exposed to it at the spay and neuter clinic which is exactly what happened to my neighbor whos rescue puppy died of parvo 5 days after they had it. Rescue acknowledges pup may have bee nexposed at spay neuter clinic . They reimbused cost of puppy but not the 2k in vet bills
Just for fun look up how much they are selling dogs for now. Some designer breeds at $3,000 and up. And the smaller they are the more expensive. It’s gotten out of hand. Check out micro puppies. You will be shocked

I would have awarded the harassment because the daughter got the womans phone number from the parents. If not for that she would not have been able to harass her.
No one stops to consider the pup got it at the vets office. We always keep our pups on our lap in the waiting room. People bring sick Parvo dogs in to the vet for finding out what's wrong with their canine.

Do none of these people on this show know that parvo is 60-90% survivable with vet care?
Exactly. I can’t listen to this case
It was stated bybthe judge that the dog probably would have survived if it was older and bigger....a 2lbs puppy could likely die from it
🙌!!! My cousins dog got parvo. She couldn’t afford vet care. She slept in the tub with him, made sure he was ingesting baby food and water. She had to force feed him that stuff. But after a week he pulled through.

breeding dogs for sale is such a sick idea
I rescued my cat, she was 9 years old, shes the most loving cat ive ever had. Please adopt instead of breed! She cuddles me for hours every night
If none of the other pups had Parvo it’s highly unlikely it contracted Parvo before they got it.
I love the "" around designer dogs like she thinks its a crazy idea, but she's the one breeding and charging for designer dogs.
Of course you can think it’s crazy or silly but still be about your business…
There's nothing "designer" about her mutts, she just found the right people to sell them to; idiots.
Yes Rotts and pits are more prone to it.
I’m guessing you meant parvo vaccine as there is no actual shot to treat parvo. That’s a huge no no. You should never give vaccines to a sick animal.
@leggs4113 what!? You're a huge no no for trying to correct me. I did what I did and I don't regret it bc I still have my dog. Most vet clinics charge over 2000 just to end up putting them down. You're dumb AF GTF off my comment
I hope the defendant sued their daughter
I'm surprised that so many people don't understand parvo
Why would they if they’ve never dealt with it?
I wish pet owners would obtain second opinions. Puppies can be saved with IV treatments. Plain yogurt can help with dehydration, too. How sad.
The plaintiff looks like he's got parvo 😮😮😮😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ITS THE WAY THE PLAINTIFF WEARS HIS GLASSES FOR ME IM DEAD
They took the dog to the Vet the day they picked it up, so they could got it from there
The defendant has a good point.
Picked it up and then died within 5 days?
Having a litter of only 3 puppies is a red flag.
@kyled2329 Smaller breeds having small litters are very common.
@@kyled2329 they went to see the puppy days before and put down a deposit. Puppy may have been exposed 7 to 10 days prior to passing.
I’ve had multiple pups that had Parvo, and they survived. Dehydration is what usually causes a death so idk why the Vet said there wasn’t anything he could do. The treatment is fluids, meds, and rest.
The dog didn't die of parvo 4 days after it was found in it and the put it down, there's a difference
I thought the same thing,it didn't die from the parvo in 4 days,as soon as the vet found it,they had it put down.
“It’s over u lost “ . Y is this man like this lmaoooo😩😩😩😩
@@hottuna2006your wrong
Parvo lives on a human’s hair and that vet could have come into contact with parvo and given it to the puppy when she held it. My dad, a veterinarian, healed many a dog from parvo with correct treatment.
Worms and ear mites aren’t a huge deal. However, if they took it out in public before shots……that’s on them!
They said they didn’t . Soooooo
Why did they go to a different vet each time? Seems rather odd and makes it completely possible they picked it up at one of the vets.
I feel bad for everyone in this case.
Also, the dog having worms isn't too much of a surprise. Puppies usually have worms, they get it from the mom, but if they've been dewormed, it's not an issue.
Not a surprise if you get the puppy from some just worried about money or irresponsible
Parvo is not worms, and there was no need to PTS, for there is treatment and caught early enough, they will survive.
@@trekgirl65 I've brought one of mine through it years ago. It wasn't easy, but I did it.
No excuses.
I think it could be they carried it from looking at other puppies, it’s so hard to tell. I feel bad for everyone involved honestly.
Well how do we know someone else wasn’t looking at the puppies and gave it to them; you just don’t know.
SAVaGE…you said you wanted it over and it’s over…you lose! 😂😂😂😂I live for the end! Lol
It just wasn't enough 😢
possible but VERY unlikely. If one pup has parvo, all the pups will have parvo.
I wish all the comments about how y'all nursed your dogs through parvo could put pics for me to fawn over "awwwww" God bless you all
I believe the defendant was that sweet and concerned. There are no winners in this case
I never got an unhealthy puppy or cat because I adopted them from shelters. They and more had shots but shelters did bleach trays inside and outside..
We had a dog that had Parvo and the vet got her through. It’s cost us $1K to get her through.

Why isn't the seller required to give the puppy a clean bill of health, that's mad to me!
The lady couldn’t just stop blabbering.
I wonder why the vet didn’t hospitalize the pup especially since it was a specialty clinic.
Puppies are likely to have worms transferred from the mother. That's why you always want to deworm them. Nothing dangerous at all, as long as you take care of it.
Oh come Marilyn, you can't blame a parent for what a grown child says. That's too much.
Cats and dogs ,kittens, puppies Never been to a Vet and Live for almost ever😮😮,loose dogs

Sound like the plaintiffs have one nasty DIL that stuck her nose in where it didn't belong. Maybe the defendant should find out where the DIL works and the send the DIL's company HR department the nasty letter/text she sent.
It is so sad how right after they bought the pet it died five days after.😢
Parvo is no joke. My mom's dogs had it and the vet would not release them until they got over it.
Agree 100% no proof of where it came from.
You think the Judge Millian is stupid, a fellow dog owner who has owned many dogs. You have no idea where dogs can parvo. They can get in the breeders back yard.
@@trekgirl65she's also from a family of contractors and has proven time and time again she doesn't know shit about construction work
As much as I felt sorry for the plaintiffs, they definitely didn't meet the burden of proof. None of the breeder's other pups having it should have been enough for improbability of plaintiff's claim.

There’s no proof it came from her house. If they had proof other dogs from her had it( like testimony from other buyers) then sure but they had nothing.

JM should turn both of them in and she should never get assistance again.
This pup could have totally picked up parvo at the vet. People used to think it was cute to allow their puppy to walk around on the floors in the waiting room. Would you put your newborn on a daycare floor?
Defendant was nice.
I disagree with the ruling it doesnt make sense that nun of the other dogs in the litter got parvo but that dog did. I think they gave it to the dog from picking up other dogs.
Her dogs are older and Parvo usually attacks young puppies.
The veterinarian of the defendant stated the dog were "chihuahuas," not chihuahua mixes. I am a bit suspicious of her vet's statement and the dog the vet actually examined.
I had the human parvo. It was so painful. Years later parvo shows up on my blood work. I dont wish parvo on any living being
I do not believe the breeder is responsible. With a puppy that small the incubation period is actually closer to 2 to 3 days!
Could the poor puppy have picked it up from the vets the first day??
The “redhead “ is a good example of face not matching the age
The plaintiff not the judge. Judge looks great!
No dog is worth more than a few hundred dollars
However mutts are ALWAYS genetically healthier and usually cheaper to care for long term so they are worth it.
I was getting so annoyed by the male plaintiff because he just would not put his head up. It was so annoying. lol
I think I'm with the defendant. It could have just as well come from the plaintiffs.

Understand that the daughter-in-law harass that lady and everything like that but the daughter-in-law's not the one getting sued for the countersuit the plaintiffs are in and they didn't write that to the ladies so her case for them automatically goes out the window because she's not doing the right person for harassment

Backyard breeders are what gives real breeders a bad name
I never understand paying $500-1,000 for a mixed breed dog, call it designer but still a mix breed
Just for fun look up how much they are selling dogs for now. Some designer breeds at $3,000 and up. And the smaller they are the more expensive. It’s gotten out of hand. Check out micro puppies. You will be shocked
"Pure-bred" dogs are a worse racket, they have all kinds of issues with health because of inbreeding
@ckwind1971 some pure breeds Def have health issues, I've only ever had Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherd and 1 malinois who were pure breed. I've also never paid more than $450, 1 time, for a pup with papers the rest were $200-$350
