Hi folks, loving this series! I've noticed through the first two episodes that while the subtitles in general are quite accurate and well-paced, there are a few dozen mistakes in each episode (e.g. 37:39 "We're paid to be irritating." should be "We're paid to be entertaining."). I'd like to volunteer to fix them. I believe all you'd have to do on your end is enable subtitle contributions on each of the videos. Thanks!

Ahhh Adaine's Furious Fist! Such a fun homebrew, used perfectly here by Ify who injected exactly the right amount of anime into it to make it really pop!
So excited to see Jasmine being spotlighted here, along with seeing Brennan as a player and the return of one of my favorite role-players, Erika. This is such an absolute homerun.
@@DnDBeyond Well you did it D&D Beyond! Thanks for giving her this incredible group. Anyone would be lucky enough to have a chance to work with you someday too, I'll keep working hard!
Wow, this is a literal Justice League of D&D players. Absolutely a stacked cast with an incredible DM. I am having so much fun with this series so far. Very excited to see what Josephine, Aabria, and Brennan bring to the table. Ify was a boss, Erica had a very fun understated character, and Emma's character is adorable (except for the backstory, but she's working on it). And speaking of Emma, Captain is Best Captain!
You can tell Jasmine is a true nerd because she mispronounces words in the way they are written. I do the same thing because when I was a kid I read lots of words before I ever heard them said aloud. I often discover new words that I’ve been regularly mispronouncing for years
Coming from a binge of D20's Escape from the Bloodkeep, and I'm absolutely psyched to see Ify and Erika in a new D&D session! Also can't wait for the episode with Aabria and BLM. Hoping that Brennan _is_ the bad guy.
I am so glad I came across this from Dimension 20 folk, because wow, Jasmine has made my short list of amazing DMs in just one episode. Can't wait for more!
Also I never thought to do a Warlock/Cleric multiclass until I saw Erika’s sheet and as soon as I saw thats what she did, the concept hit me like a train, I gotta try it now
I have seen concepts for Clerics of a patron that is more close to a Warlock patron and the other way around which makes perfect sense to me. The way they get their power is the same source but the use and focus of them are different.

oh shit did they actually use Adaine's Furious Fist in a non Dimension 20 setting? this is badass! It says there at the bottom Credits: Brennan Lee Mulligan - Dimension 20!
I really liked The Line as a boss character from a design point of view. Legendary actions dressed up in a way that's thematically consistent and interesting. Stats and damage enough to cause concern in the players but also low enough that the battle primarily helps them get a handle on their characters. I never would've considered having a boss be the first combat for this purpose, usually people throw in low cr stereotypes like goblins and bandits, so that was interesting to see. Personally I felt the energy at the table was a bit slow, dialogue-wise, but I'm certain that's simply due to new characters and new group (things flowed better from about 40min in) 6d10 for a third level plus pushback feels OP, but I guess being an AC12 wizard also means he'll be hurt on the frontlines (+con saves) so it probably works fine for this game/character in particular
On Dimension20, the show where we see the "birth" of Adaine's Furious Fist, the character development makes it up for this "OPness". Adaine had to struggle a lot to be able to do this.
If you compare it to fireball.. It's average damage of 33, to fireball's 28. Downsides of concentration, melee range, and single target. Upsides of +5 damage, and knockback on failed save. Try again next turn on failure instead of half-damage, which is only arguably better. I've seen a number of people call the spell OP, but I really don't think it is. Strong? Yes. It's the highest single target damage you can get until disintegrate at 6th level, but single target, concentration, and 5' range are all serious downsides. It might be OP at level 2, but at first level it's less damage than magic missile, and at 3+ fireball and lightning bolt are really strong competition.

rewatching this 2 yrs later bc im insane: but the way emma uses her face and little sound effects to react to things in character is so fun and so cute i love it so much
What a cool concept for a world/scenario to adventure in - Great job creating this Jasmine, you knocked it out of the park! The players are fantastic as well, and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of this. Great NPC's, the whole out-of-combat "Host" bits are brilliant, and I love the way the characters are revealing themselves. Awesome work!
Just watched the Adventuring Academy on dropout with Jasmine and remembered how fantastic this series was. These characters are so great. This world is fantastic. I love it.
Came here for Brennan but I can't deny that he was right about everything he said in the advertising for this campaign, about both his fellow players and the DM
I was getting a little bored with the sitting around making emotionally supportive statements and fussing at the armorer, but then the "When it comes to memory..." incident happened, and that was gold.
Well, I finished the video... I spent so much time gleefully laughing at/with Lenore, and she went from "hilarious" to "holy shit that's dark, what the fuck?!" in like 10 seconds flat😯 Damn....
Just wow. Furious Fist is basicly "Inflict Wounds" but without the risk of failing. I would definetly add some drawbacks for "Concentrating" on that level of single target damage over two rounds. Like a fading Haste type of thing.
He has to roll to hit though? Like inflict wounds. I agree it's op but with that low AC and being melee it probably won't last many rounds if any in this campaign. But yeah in a higher AC/HP character definitely rethink it.
@@j.a.6310 Well this episode is filled with mechanical errors to be honest..Spirit Guardians and Spiritual Weapon cant be cast in the same turn, since they are both leveld spells. Spiritual Weapon doesnt auto hit, she rolled for damage right away. It still needs an attack roll. And that is just one turn.
@@dannyadvocaat9308 Ya I'm tripping hard. I don't get how Aabria took the time to try and argue for stormy conditions for Call Lightning (nothing wrong with that, I mean argue in the literal sense not as a negative) but then they forgot to roll a save for half damage???
@@dannyadvocaat9308 - Yes, the episode had lots of mechanical errors (like bless + spirit guardians + hold person all being concentration, and a case of rolling disadvantage on a dex save when they just said frightened only gives you disadvantage on checks and attacks). Not to mention tactical errors. But the turn you're talking about at 1:32:49 wasn't one of them. Spirit Guardians had been cast two rounds before, she just moved into range to finally make it do damage on that turn. (Should have been when the enemy starts their turn in it, but that's pretty minor since it wasn't a matter of knowing sooner whether the damage was enough or not.) She never even took an action that turn, she was Frightened by something that apparently required her to use all her movement to flee and they seemed to forget. (Most frighten effects don't do that, only a few special ones like Cause Fear (3rd), and turn undead.) I don't think Lenore rolled concentration saves for anything, but Ify did for Adaine's Furious Fist. Mechanically: * Motivational Speech has a cast time of 1 minute. But it lasts an hour, so should have been cast while they were walking into the arena. (That would alter the timing on when they got advantage, but there's no way to cast it in combat.) * Motivational Speech's advantage on attacks only happens after the temp HP absorb some damage. It's only 5hp, so usually that's only advantage on one attack, but two tiny hits over two turns could let you get it twice. * Only one concentration spell per character. Casting Spirit Guardians dropped Bless, and casting Hold Person dropped guardians (even though the target made their save against hold person). Kind of surprised nobody reminded Emma about that; she's played TTPRGs before, e.g. she was in a star wars RPG actual-play using a different system. She seemed to be new to 5e. * Taking damage while concentrating requires a Con save to maintain it. (Ify rolled those for Furious Fist; Emma didn't). * Being frightened doesn't mechanically give you disadvantage on dex *saves.* IDK if some editing cut out more explicit agreement that there was a narrative reason for taking disadvantage on the Lenore's flamethrower save near the end. It also doesn't necessarily make you run away. * Guiding Bolt's advantage only lasts until the end of the caster's next turn. If a whole turns goes by with nobody even able to attempt an attack, it's lost. (At least RAW; it's fine if the DM wants to be generous especially when players are making intentionally funny moves like "climbing" into pits.) Tactically: * All 3 of them wasted 1 action each casting non-concentration buffs that last an hour or more (Mage Armor, Aid, Motivational Speech, the latter of which is actually a 1 minute cast time). Mage Armor is 8 hours. They 100% knew this fight was coming, and the approximate timing, so it made zero sense for them to delay until they were actually costing actions during combat proper, instead of while walking in. They could have readied cantrips or whatever on the first turn, or cast shorter-term concentration spells before the enemy was visible. Bless only lasts 1 minute, so you do have to time it to the start of the fight. And Lenore hasn't been in the arena before, so she wouldn't know the exactly when to cast it. (Unless she asked Leila to let her know when the end of the intro speeches was coming, since Leila does know her way around.) Bless is a really good spell, though, worth casting on the opening round. * I thought Lenore was already in range for spirit guardians on the turn she cast it, otherwise weird choice to go for that instead of spiritual weapon. Or not to take a few steps forward to get damage out of it, since it is a good spell to have up. * Trying to climb down into a spiked pit trap while wearing heavy armor, without good strength or dex or proficiency in athletics. This seemed kind of in character, though, and like Emma maybe even intended it as a sub-optimal move Lenore would make. So that's fine, especially when it's hilarious. * Casting Furious Fist at 3rd level before getting in range to actually attack with it. This one is only easy to spot with hindsight, after the trap sprung; you'd normally just expect movement to work and not think about it. Also, if the enemy had Mage Slayer, casting while next to him would give him a free attack on you as a reaction. But as it played out, he was stuck concentrating on that for few rounds if he didn't want to give up on that spell slot he invested early. --- All that said, the RP was fun, and I've enjoyed all 3 players plus Jasmine as the DM in other things before this. But if these episodes are mostly going to revolve around combat, I hope we get to see some of the *good* tactical play that's possible in 5e. Or that the game will continue to spend plenty of time on RP, so it's not a problem if the mechanics are wonky.
I’ve tried watching Mercer and his crew multiple times; just isn’t for me. I started watching this on a whim and watched it all in one sitting. Really enjoyed the experience!
Well it’s a good story I love the cast I love Erika Ishii and Ify Nwadiwe and the DM as Jasmine Bulhar but to my amazement it’s Emma Fyffe and I am so happy and shocked to see her there. I can’t wait to see the next one
Quite honestly, I came into this skeptical but I really really enjoyed this episode. The DM and player's did an amazing job!! Bravo! Well done, I am looking forward to the next episode.
So this part got a bit muddled since the viewers couldn't see the map the whole time, but Erika moved to a heavily wooded region of the map. In lieu of cover I allowed her to hide as part of her movement since the foliage was thick in the part of the map she moved to.
I watched it live last night and it was really fun. This party has a great sinergy and it's Chaotic Wholesome. Also, I'm thankful because it's only three players (plus the DM). I get super lost when there's a lot of people so it's easier for me this way. At least I won't get confused about the players and their characters when (if) both parties play together. I didn't know Jasmine. Does she have her own channel or podcast? I'd like to check it out!
She gives her channel name when she introduced herself: thatbronzegirl. She's been replying to some comments in here and a lot of people have been praising her actual play show
my introduction was that of episode 4....now I back track here but ill say this. there's a good flow to this....it's fun, its a nice group working well off of eachother's characters and acting. story was cool....and fate brought me (much smaller slab of...) Ribs that same night....diggin it so far. le'ts see how it began.....so i leave my comment and continue to start the show.
Wait what?!? I've been using Dnd Beyond in my campaign (my first) and have never known that I can actually click to roll with advantage/disadvantage instead of just rolling twice 😅 You learn something new everyday
I'm an hour and nineteen minutes in, if baby face uses a jet pack or flies before this is over, we must rename them. I cant decide between boba face or baby fett...
There should be a event like this but there are a bunch of players involved that are introduced as NPCS but if they kill one of the current PCs they can join party as a full on party member for rest of game until their killed or until they win. Very top if the head concept but think it can be refined into something very cool.

So many of my favorite people in this series. I can't believe Bronze was chosen to DM this, I love her so much!!
Can I just say I am **obsessed** with Jasmine's henna! Absolutely stunning!
This cast is completely HEAT! I am so excited I cannot wait for the rest of this! Jasmine & crew are crushing the game.
rewatching this 2 yrs later bc im insane: but the way emma uses her face and little sound effects to react to things in character is so fun and so cute i love it so much
Ekon really used Adaine’s Furious Fist and Brennan wasn’t even at the table
Aabria, Erika, and Brennan are so awesome
Oh cool
What a cool concept for a world/scenario to adventure in - Great job creating this Jasmine, you knocked it out of the park! The players are fantastic as well, and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of this. Great NPC's, the whole out-of-combat "Host" bits are brilliant, and I love the way the characters are revealing themselves. Awesome work!
Just watched the Adventuring Academy on dropout with Jasmine and remembered how fantastic this series was. These characters are so great. This world is fantastic. I love it.
Found this just sitting on my feed, clicked on it and was sucked in immediately-Great DM, great cast can’t wait for ep. 2
Glad you’re here! We’ll see you Friday!!
Came here for Brennan but I can't deny that he was right about everything he said in the advertising for this campaign, about both his fellow players and the DM
OMG Adaine's Furious Fist is in D&D Beyond???!!!
CROSSOVER OF THE CENTURY
I came here for Erika, I fell in love with Ify’s #WizardDaddy
I was getting a little bored with the sitting around making emotionally supportive statements and fussing at the armorer, but then the "When it comes to memory..." incident happened, and that was gold.
the joy on my face when i saw him use Adaine's Furious Fist as an actual spell. Aida would be proud.
Ify and Erika are national treasures in my book.
I'm loving this so far. The cast is excellent and the characters are wonderful. One Punch Man would be proud of the end to the battle.
This was very fun, love the set and graphics, but as always the players and GM were the stars as they should be!
Brennan did a tiefling oathbreaker hexadin! Aaand he crits! It's smite o'clock!
That actually sound terrifying and that’s good new because Brennan does scary and evil really well
I was never able to use D&D Beyond’s digital dice. They have cool ones, but nothing beats the feeling of physical ones in a tray or on a table 🤷🏼♂️
All good! Even we go back and forth! Sometimes you want to click the character sheet and sometimes you want to hear dice hit the table!
Fabulous job everyone! I’m still giggling over the idea of a squishy Ify…
Well, I finished the video... I spent so much time gleefully laughing at/with Lenore, and she went from "hilarious" to "holy shit that's dark, what the fuck?!" in like 10 seconds flat😯 Damn....
Watching Lenore: 😂😬😬🥺
@@DnDBeyond Also, 😰
Erika’s reactions are everything! Love them!!
Iffy's accent is fun and I am here for it.
Jasmine is truly amazing as a DM as she proves in Shikar every week. really entertaining, thank you
But yeah in a higher AC/HP character definitely rethink it.
they also aren't remembering concentration right? bless into spirit guardians and i think a third spell. taking damage and not rolling concentration?
(Should have been when the enemy starts their turn in it, but that's pretty minor since it wasn't a matter of knowing sooner whether the damage was enough or not.)
She never even took an action that turn, she was Frightened by something that apparently required her to use all her movement to flee and they seemed to forget. (Most frighten effects don't do that, only a few special ones like Cause Fear (3rd), and turn undead.)
I don't think Lenore rolled concentration saves for anything, but Ify did for Adaine's Furious Fist.
Mechanically:
* Motivational Speech has a cast time of 1 minute. But it lasts an hour, so should have been cast while they were walking into the arena. (That would alter the timing on when they got advantage, but there's no way to cast it in combat.)
* Motivational Speech's advantage on attacks only happens after the temp HP absorb some damage.
(At least RAW; it's fine if the DM wants to be generous especially when players are making intentionally funny moves like "climbing" into pits.)
Tactically:
* All 3 of them wasted 1 action each casting non-concentration buffs that last an hour or more (Mage Armor, Aid, Motivational Speech, the latter of which is actually a 1 minute cast time).
---
All that said, the RP was fun, and I've enjoyed all 3 players plus Jasmine as the DM in other things before this. But if these episodes are mostly going to revolve around combat, I hope we get to see some of the *good* tactical play that's possible in 5e.
Or that the game will continue to spend plenty of time on RP, so it's not a problem if the mechanics are wonky.
Haven't even watched it yet but I'm so hyped for this episode!!! What an awesome cast! Just pressed Play here we gooooo
Welcome to it! Hope you dig!
Great cast, AMAZING DM, this is gonna be good.
What an absolutely rad cast. 🙌
Anyone else transfixed by her beautiful hena!
By far my favorite cast from a live play dnd show. Good on ya.
"WizardDaddy" ... Get that merch 👍
We have to do this, don’t we?
@@DnDBeyond yep.
I’ve tried watching Mercer and his crew multiple times; just isn’t for me. I started watching this on a whim and watched it all in one sitting. Really enjoyed the experience!
Thanks for being here! We’ve got endless love for our CR family, but different strokes for different folks! Glad you enjoyed.
Haven’t watched Jasmine before and she’s electric! So engaging to watch
Erika’s facial expressions from “flying Foxes” to the mask being knocked off is hilarious.
I have no idea what I'm watching but I'm down for it.
Welcome to it! Hope you enjoyed!
Well it’s a good story I love the cast I love Erika Ishii and Ify Nwadiwe and the DM as Jasmine Bulhar but to my amazement it’s Emma Fyffe and I am so happy and shocked to see her there. I can’t wait to see the next one
Y’all I’m so excited for Accent Ify
Erika's face at 1:36:39. I love the way she reacts to this stuff.
Quite honestly, I came into this skeptical but I really really enjoyed this episode. The DM and player's did an amazing job!! Bravo! Well done, I am looking forward to the next episode.
Glad you’re with us!
Loved the show but anything with Iffy is golden. I however still can't figure out what was allowing Erika to hide without taking an action?
So this part got a bit muddled since the viewers couldn't see the map the whole time, but Erika moved to a heavily wooded region of the map. In lieu of cover I allowed her to hide as part of her movement since the foliage was thick in the part of the map she moved to.
@@ThatBronzeGirl Thanks for the reply I couldn't figure it out and was wondering if I was overlooking something obvious.
Not allowed by rules sonde hide uses your action but still fun
I was right, another amazing show by Jasmine Bhullar with a fantastic cast of players!
Thank you for the awesomeness can't wait to see more!
She's been replying to some comments in here and a lot of people have been praising her actual play show
@@richieclark882 Oh! I thought that was her Twitter name or something. Thanks for the answer!
@@willmena96 search for Shikar on YT, its her own D&D adventure!
@@NeonKodiak thanks! I'm already watching the first episode! Lol
No idea what this is but its D&D, so i know it will be amazing. The cast is as well!
I'm not the only only one then
I'm now watching the campaign because of 1 clip of Brennan in episode 3.
my introduction was that of episode 4....now I back track here but ill say this. there's a good flow to this....it's fun, its a nice group working well off of eachother's characters and acting. story was cool....and fate brought me (much smaller slab of...) Ribs that same night....diggin it so far. le'ts see how it began.....so i leave my comment and continue to start the show.
Welcome to the beginning!
For the record, 'Motivational Speech' has a casting time of 1minute, which would be 10 rounds of combat, it's meant to be used outside of combat...
The dm was a little wonky with reaction and concentration rules not being followed too but still fun to watch
Wait what?!?
I've been using Dnd Beyond in my campaign (my first) and have never known that I can actually click to roll with advantage/disadvantage instead of just rolling twice 😅
You learn something new everyday
I don't know how you crafted The Line, but MASTERFULLY crafted.
What a great cast!
