Love your tutorials! I have a client who sells computers, and therefore they have a lot of variants for different processor options, graphics cards, etc. Do you think this will be an issue? I don't want to have all their current products that have variants to no longer work.
Glad you like them! Yes the Udesly to Shopify process can work however this particular tutorial is only one option and can be used in combination with Shopify's actual variant system.. Which is fully setup in Webflow using their product options. Which for this use case I would probably recommend.. in addition this option uses the Shopify’s ALL PRODUCTS Logic which has a limit of 20 products. My latest tutorial (ruclips.net/video/pktC8H2lzTs/видео.html) uses Shopify's native metafields which doesn't have this limit (just Shopify’s 50 products on load limit).. hope that helps
@@AlternatePro Great to hear, and will the existing products in Shopify be added when I upload the new theme, or do I have to setup their products separately in Webflow? Thank you for your guidance, I really appreciate it.
@@lighthouseroofingco hi think of the webflow stuff as purely placeholder.. you are creating a theme that leverages Shopify’s CMS.. so all existing products will work as is.. just remember to use any of their existing metafields in the webflow project check out my advanced metafields tutorial.
Exactly and yes you can.. just change out the metafields and the swatch FOR attribute to something like UPSELL IN UPSELLS. And don’t forget to change the assign variable to match.
Another good video! I guess this is only possible with the 3rd party app..? Do you think there is any way to do this without app? even it requires of some coding...
Hi there.. Shopify did say that they are going to add a multi-reference metafield but as of yet this has not materialised.. as of yet. You could use the Shopify native product reference metafield but it only allows you to select one product.. as a result you would need to create as many separate metafields as your maximum colour swatches and then link to those individual fields and then use IF statements to hide any unused swatches. Unfortunately this will be a bit messy to manage.
Your webflow to shopify videos are just amazing, please continue!
Thanks man.. and that’s the plan.
These tutorials are so good! When is the one about setting up the basket and checkout pages coming out?
Hey there will do it next..

Nice one man, will have to try this out! Could you use the multi ref for upsell options on the product page? 😀
