Mixing faster is like you running faster. Time catches up & you're dune. You like nice & easy and the machines do too. I appreciate your attitude for your cows & machines.
Awesome video Matty a happy farmer looking after his cows and the cow's are looking good It'll be nice to see the start calving Looking forward to seeing you're solution for the bale trailer its going to be good Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Do y’all cut your own hay and silage? Would love to come along for all of that this spring/summer if you do, if not, how do you show profit on buying hay/silage? We cut all of ours but there again were in NC with green grass in February, we just dropped our first cut of hay last weekend, 150 6x6 rolled and already in the barn. Should get 3 more cuts lord willing
Great video. I like seeing how all you guys farm just a little different because of weather , conditions etc.. and how it changes in different parts of the country. It always amazes me just how much there is to what you do. Awesome content! 👍👍👍👍. Don’t hurt your head with all that thinkin! Remember there is no wrong way just some ways are better than others! 😃🤣😂
We have the same rules; seriously- may15 calving on green grass, cows are gaining condition and getting exercise loosing their winter hair coat. Calves are born on green pastures not muddy wet ground. My vet says a bad day in may is better than a good day in Feb. kevin from nova scotia.
Just a thought if a horses hips get out of alignment they say to make them walk backwards down hill. Yes I know cows are different and not typically tame, just thinking if you could use a portable chute for loading them in a semi and push backwards down it maybe it might help. Just a thought, have a blessed day
How many acres do you own? How many do you lease? How many head do you normally raise in a year? What part of S. D. are you located in? My husband’s clan is from S.D. and N.E. WY. Love the videos! New subscriber!
@@Ranchingsodak thanks! Absolutely love your ranching videos! Grew up in New Mexico, I didn’t grow up in the ranch but definitely helped throw bales for ranchers around me. Followed Dane in his hunting channel and found your channel more recently. Been binging a lot of your videos and it’s been great. Thanks for responding! Very cool!
@@straightpipeacres6365 I can’t believe that you are commenting and watching I have been watching you for awhile now!!! What’s the name of the trailer or a link I’ll check it out thanks
Conservation reserve program it is farm acres seeded to grass and left for nesting birds and wildlife the government pays per acre for 10 year terms on drought years we can hay a portion after primary nesting season.

I see the lake, do you have a lot of ducks nesting in your fields?
Most years but not always
At 4:44 what did you mean by you typically don’t do that? Get out of the truck around the cattle? Or try to unroll the bale?
I don’t get out and hand unroll the last little bit of a bale👍

Why don't you just buy a lift off bale hauler/unloader. Made in pilot Bute Saskatchewan Canada for your gooseneck
Not sure how much they are but might be a option
