  • This custom die cast build was part of a challenge with another member of the Gaslands Facebook group. The base car was the HW50 Concept from Hot Wheels and the theme was samurai. This video includes elements of "how-to" but is mostly showing you how I did it.

    This video pops up in my recommended videos from time to time. It’s still one of my favorite custom built cars ever.

    I thought I had a pretty good imagination?.... until ..I saw three videos of you die cast guru's
    Y'all took cars and truck and 18 wheelers 1/64. Of stuff that I wouldn't have bought. And made works of art
    I'm just now getting into restoring die cast cars ..but I'm not anywhere near this talented the samurai car is great
    Imagination level 10. 💯

    Ben! I have Subscribed to your Channel for 2 Reasons, 1- I like the Way that you Enthusiastically Talk about the Project as it Almost became News Event Commentary like! 2-I REALLY Appreciate the Fact that you Play the Music on a Lower Volume as to Accentuate the Commentary instead of like some Channels just BLARING Music with 0 Commentary. I like the Theme of the Build and I look forward in seeing more Modification Videos.

    whenever I sand harder plastics/cardstocks, I save the sanded dust or powder and it works the exact same as baking soda to fill gaps, just thought I'd throw this tip out there for you 👍

    Also accelerator spray will harden the glue instantly. Also from starbond

    • @BPCustomCreations
      @BPCustomCreations  2 года назад

      For sure! I don't have access to any super glue accelerator products here in Japan. I've looked around before but haven't found one yet. Adam Savage talks about the difference between using an accelerator and using baking soda in a video about styrene building too. Definitely worth a watch if you're interested.

    Dumb question. Why didn't you strip the paint before adding the cardstock? Better surface for gluing

    • @BPCustomCreations
      @BPCustomCreations  Год назад +1

      I usually do but this paint on particular is a kind of matte finish that doesn't want to come off. It's a different paint than most hot wheels.

    • @BPCustomCreations
      @BPCustomCreations  Год назад

      I'm not 100% sure but I think it is some kind of hobby tool for mixing paint. It has a flat scraper side on the other end. It was in a box of hobby supplies I bought second hand.
