I just got the 2024 Grey Goods one piece BBCOR 34-31 for this spring season high school baseball and in 2 games I have hit 1 HR, 3 doubles, 1 single and I have 8 RBI’s so again my dad bought the one piece because of the issues with the coupling. This is my second Goods bat as I had the black one a few years ago and it was a hottt bat and I still have it. Love this channel

Got the Mav1 as one of our team bats in college. Loved the taper in the handle and how it felt in the hands. Swing weight was very light and when you catch the barrel it feels amazing. However, I felt the sweet spot to be pretty small and got rung up on a lot of pitches, which is not ideal playing baseball in New England during this time of the year. Went back to older bats right now, might give it another shot once the weather warms up
Love when the videos are at night in this stadium and his wife calls the velo. Always a banger video. 👊🏻
I have the Mav and I’m happy it did well in the review! I knew it wouldn’t beat out the Atlas, but it’s a great bat that I’ve recommended! Now I can send this review to confirm what I’ve been saying haha can’t wait for the next review!!

Definitely agree with the Clout Ai statement. I lose control all the time, but that swing weight is just **chefs kiss** perfect. And especially as a power guy I can drive it much better than with anything else.
However a bit of concern on the barrel and endcap construction lately, chips all over the top and dents easily. Be careful, and it’s very delicate.

So Rawlings acquired the baseball arm of Easton (hockey arm now under control of Bauer) and also owns Miken and Worth for any slowpitch bros, and that is all owned by Seidler Equity Partners, founded by Peter Seidler, beloved owner of the Padres who passed away recently. No point really, just looked that up and thought it was interesting.
Is there a correlation between a small sweet spot and high velo when you hit the sweet spot?
Ok, long comment here but hope to get some help and provide info without going overboard.
I am SUPER specific about swing weight. Happy to see an actual order of swing weights on this vid to supplement the Bat Bros swing weight scale. I get keeping it simple, but I think the order is a bit incorrect based on anecdotal experience.
I currently game a 34” Guardian. It’s significantly heavier than my 34” Alloy XP, which swings nearly identically to my 33.5” Atlas. I’ve also gamed a 34” Cat X and a 33.5” Cat X Connect. Would love to know if the Clout might sit between my Alloy XP and Guardian. I have access to swing weights in Bat Digest’s site, and goodness are so many of them wrong.
Using the Bat Bros scale, here’s my take on swing weights:
-Atlas == 6
-Cat X == 9
-Cat X Connect == 4 or 5
-Alloy XP == 7 or 8, I think 8
-Guardian == 4 or 5 (love this bat)
-Nuke == 1 or 2
-Goods == 4 or 3
-Select PWR == 5
-Omaha == 4 or 3, same as Goods
-Goods One Piece == 5 or 6
If you’re a parent reading this, highly suggest the Alloy XP for balanced bat kids. $200 for the same performance and better durability. I prefer it over my Atlas as I’m waiting for it to break in two. If you’re considering heavier-swinging bats, the Guardian is so good.

Really love the reviews. I have a few questions about your swing. Do you ever get any lower back pain from all the swings? I know you lift, but do you also incorporate a lot of med ball training into your strength program? Lastly, do you feel like swinging left-handed sometimes helps to balance the load on your spine and body?
Switch hitting definitely helps in my opinion.
I have been fortunate enough to avoid any back issues.
My biggest advice is simply to “move often”. Any injuries that happen to me are usually when I’m doing something for the first time in a few weeks/months. As I as I hit multiple times a week, I’m golden.
Where do you source all of your baseballs? Super curious, also, do you go get them when you're done with the video?? Great job all, keep it up!

Would be interesting to see some data on exit velo based on weather data like: temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind velocity, etc.
Distance would probably be more effected than exit velo.

I picked up the clout for my 13 year old son (based on your review of it) 32/29 but it was surprisingly heavier than I thought it would be. Weighed it and it was 30oz on the dot. It definitely is noticeably heavier than his 32/29 voodoo one from ‘22.
Yeah definitely a higher swing weight than the Voodoo One. The V1 is one of the most balanced BBCORs out there.
You’ll actually find that most BBCORs “scale weight” an ounce above what they’re marked as due to the grip being added on after certification

I have a Q for you due to the fact that you've hit with the 2k24 Icon, i've rewatch the video of the icon vs. The bonesaber hybrid... I think you used an Icon bat you've hit a lot with... I think the velo on it are higher when you have 30 hits on it and after it drop a little then keep it for a while...
can you tell me if i'm wrong or do a video with a barely broken one and your others well used????
I have an idea of a video you could do, you can take the top 5 one-piece alloy and take 5 hits, no matter what the hits are and alternate the order you hit with each bats and do 5 to 10 rounds...(the reason for my idea is the weight diff..., I think sometimes you are really "mind sold" on a bat and if you do the test with max sings and alternating the order it might be different)... or not... just an idea... not a critic on you for my comment on the "mind sold" ...
