wow have not been watching your channel for a very long time (because the ads was really annoying). glad you fixed that. now at least the sound of the ads is same level as the rest of your video. ads used to be blasting super loudly, while the rest of the video was a lot softer.
Hi Kon, cross shopping between a Persona MC2 & Ativa H. In terms of CVT & cabin refinement/comfort, is the Ativa a tangible step up from the Persona? Thanks!
Anyone can build a good handling machine but not many can make a good reliable and less problematic and yet affordable car. This where Perodua comes in
Hi Kon. So far nobody has come up with video testing the safety feature of Ativa which has been said over and over again. Why not make a video on their safety features such as pedal misoperation?
I drive ativa.. i would say, buy expander.. raize@rocky is way smaller than expander.. in malaysia, expander comes only in 1 variant and it is more expansive than ativa a lot
It doesn't matter if you like perodua or proton. Who cares if you are riding a boat or cruiser. Its your hard earned money, once u fall in love with it, to hell what other people said. As long as you pay the loan on time.😂
Didnt drive it.. just started it. The vibrations at idle in D can be felt till the seats. If the mounts gets older.. well then we will see. Did not sit at passenger side yet. No test driver willing to take me around. A good test of a vehicle must also appeal to the passengers.
I guess this car lacks vibration and sound proofing. Saw a youtuber open ativas carpet and found no additional insulations other than the carpet. Maybe owners have to do the insulation and vibration dampening ourselves.
Because it is BASIC 3 cylinder engine.. nothing complicated like x50 with balancer.. this is the downside of 3 cylinder engine.. especially basic spec one
People do give too much flack about Perodua's ride and handling. They keep saying "Peroduas drive like boats". I guess it's because of past reputation that stuck with people, because if anyone experienced earlier Peroduas like the 2nd gen Myvi and Viva, those are the ones that weren't great in that regard. But any of the recent ones, the current Myvi, Axia, Bezza, I've driven them and I think they're generally positive. Definitely not amazing, but I still can chuck them around with reasonable amount of confidence. I'm not exactly an easy going driver either. (I assume this will apply to the Ativa as well.)
The Bezza, yes and no. The first time I drove the Bezza, it was horrible on the highway, but to Perodua's credit, when I took the car from them a second time, it felt more sorted. As if as the engineers took consumer feedback into account and implemented incremental improvements to the car's handling.
Agree, new perodua model definitely have improved in terms of ride handling compare to previous gen. I have drive aruz, a tall 7 seater suv & it handle pretty well for it size. In fact i think it better then 2nd gen myvi. But still perodua definitely don't have a more dynamic & sporty ride & handling like proton for example. I can drive a proton fast at corner meanwhile I don't have that much confidence with perodua. New perodua definitely don't drive like a boat but it doesn't have sporty ride either which is fine for most car buyer.
No offence but your standards are low, Axia feels like it always ready to flip over even when going slowly through corners, same goes with its sedan sibling the Bezza, but the current generation Myvi is totally acceptable though.
@@aaronbryan5095 Not exactly the case when I've driven the 2018 Axia SE and 2018 Bezza 1.3 X. They don't feel all that bad. But like Kon mentioned above, maybe Perodua had quietly done some changes throughout the model's lifecycle. And for the record, I've already test driven pretty much most of the cars in the A and B segment class, and I drive a 2018 Iriz and 2019 Yaris, so I don't think my standards are that low.
But need many people support local product dont blame as want to upgrade your local product do as japanese 50 years ago when Toyota develop their product
Agreed on the AC control. It really cheapens out the look of the interior. I know Perodua is trying to cut some cost by using the same system found on their existing cars, but frankly, at the 70k price point, I'm starting to expect automatic climate control which you do see on some B segment cars and also the top spec JDM Raize/Rocky. Or at least make it look good.
Don't misleading or cheating people this car is without TNGA or DNGA the truth is (PSB) Perodua smart build actually is the same platform as Aruz nothing special. i tested the car is totally opposite what you say engine very noisy, vibration, under power and handling just like Aruz actually not worth it what you pay, totally garbage.
TNGA, DNGA and PSB all the same lah what are you talking about? Plus the Aruz is a Toyota Rush rebadge and as far as I'm concern, the Rush was not built on a TNGA platform. So how is the Ativa on the same platform as the Aruz/Rush?
Currently owned Perodua and Proton, the P1 more towards driving dynamic while P2 more towards function and practicality.
not with ativa.. it drives fun more than my persona vvt
Great, Kon.
Thanks for watching!!

Hows the cabin insulation and the suspension on the highway compares to xpander ? As in indonesia toyota raize and mitsubishi xpander cost the same

This Perodua Ativa car is similar to two car models in Japan, the Daihatsu Rocky and the Toyota Raize

Why people always compared this ativa with X70 or X50? so ridiculous ! cannot compare 1.0 car with 1.5 or 1.6 laaaa
Because they are the cheapest suv in malaysia ! That is reasonable reason to compare rite?
the ativa is quite an interesting car tbh
It's a logical upgrade from a Viva, Axia, or Myvi.
