To save you time and stress you can tell your digitizer which parts you want as an appliqué. Turned out cute!
Glad to see new face on RUclips. Have you heard that Joannes possibly is going bankrupt ?
I always always always print my design to place it on the hooped fabric to be sure it first. That also helps with finding the middle.
It's ok, been there done that
Also, make sure you ever frame out while using a mighty hoop because it will always come back to NOT the correct place to continue embroidering. That was happening to me at first until I found a video on that subject.
Do you remember who posted that video so I see what you're referring to.
@@brittanybriggs3806 Not sure but I can try and find it in my history or maybe it was ricoma who told me about it. I will try to find it if it's a video, so I can show you. This was about two years ago. What I mean is the button you press to make the frame come out when you're doing applique so you can cut the fabric. What they said is to only frame out if you're using the machine's frames and not the mighty hoops, because since you must usally use the "other" hoop setting, it kind of confused the machine and when you frame in again to continue stitching, it can go back to the wrong place on the design. It happened to me a couple of times so I remove the frame every time I'm going to cut around the applique fabric. It's a pin, but It has saved me shirts. I also cut a little hole in the fabric before placing it down where I will have to cut the hole out of a 9, and A, etc and place the hole part right on that section before embroidering it so it's easy for me to cut out that part.
@@Theneedleartnook okay I got it. Thanks so much for this information.
@@brittanybriggs3806 You're very welcome, Here to help whenever I can. Whatever I've learned to far has been the very hard way. LOL
Is so hard to sell embroidery items I just make them for family, and I am always so nervous to mess it up 😢.. good lucky , it looks super though 💗💗💗
Don't be nervous, make a Tshirt mock up and post it on Etsy or even your local Facebook community page.
Ive never had holes rip into a gilden heavy cotton shirt before.
Yeah I was not happy about it. I ended up putting vinyl on the back so it worked out
You can get fabric markers and color it in with that. It happened to me once and the marker worked. 😊
Just a thought, the next time you send a deson out to your digitizer, let them know you are wanting to applique some of the design and list what you want, like skull and bow on this one. It will save you alot of time due to setting your machine to A/M so that it stops after every thread color stitch out. Great video and a lot of lessons learned!!
Go in to your chroma software and change the order of your stitching. You can send it to back. You also can set your stitching to AM (auto manual) this will cause the machine to automatically stop at every color change.
Yeah I know how to change my machine to AM I'll just know for next time (which there won't be a next time haha) to change my stitching towards the back.
Reorder the run stitch or send the run stitch to the back in your Chroma software so that it stitches first.
Oh good idea, next time
It turned out really cute!! Thank you for all of your helpful hints, tips, tricks 😊
That's a good idea because I was going to tell you the digitizer screwed up but you didn't tell him it was applique.
i'm so sorry,
2:24 You only get the inspire software if you purchase the ricoma in the US only.
We've ALL been there and done this! Don't be hard on yourself! It's not your fault it had to be a rush order. You were just trying to help.
Ballpoints might help, but I"ve used nothing but sharps on tees and never had holes poke like that!
I interested in how you did the design please. I textured white, Moda Grunge or Wilmington Prints Dry Brush.
I always hoop my garments with the excess fabric facing me. I hope this helps.
That tool is a seam ripper.
