This is worth watching, a project from start to finish focusing on one room at a time. I love that the place did not completely transform into a contemporary home. It has some modern amenities such as wiring and lighting.
I'm glad to see the exposed wooden ceiling, walls that are not covered up with gypsum boards, doors and windows that don't slide on tracks, and no Western wood flooring. I'm alright with tiles on the floor and wall for waterproofing the bathroom.
I love to watch his woodworks, refurbish wood for doors, windows and furniture. I like that he chopped, sawed, planed and sanded timber into planks instead of resorting to milled wood bought from the lumber yard. For me, the best part is watching this master join the wood pieces together without relying too much on industrial nails, bolts and screws.
Overall, I like the thorough documented renovation though we did not get to see the works on the bathroom and the furniture for the bedroom.

Out of all the videos I view on renovating old homes, this by far is the one that is outstanding and will come to the forefront for me. This Monk is more than a builder, he is a Master craftsman, he creates and dose so mitotically, with every step, right down to mortaring bricks - done neatly. His style is old school with a twist, his use of color is rich and compliments various ascents in tone and texture. He is brilliant.
I would love to see the outcome of this majestic house and land.
