The number of videos of Rishon has shown they are doing a lot of things right..It is becoming a model of thoughtful design. Here we see the separation of bikes from pedestrians, surrounded by plants flowers and trees. (granted many of these trees are "twigs" but I have learned, that cared for they grow rather rapidly. ) The sidewalks are textured and decorated with patterns..not plain poured concrete. Some of the buildings even have COLOR! This "Kenyon" ( the mall )is by far the most intriguing architecturally that we have seen..it is somewhat connected with the neighboring apartment buildings with a pedestrian bridge and does contain a tower which will help ensure it will be populated at most hours of the day. But It still is suburban and does not interact or open on its' ground floor level to the community at large and is located behind an expanse of asphalt and automobiles...still it is beautiful as architecture. I have a friend who has moved to Rishon ..to the beach area..also a "project" of a number of towers..I believe an old military base is between the towers and the Sea. Perhaps one day we can take a closer look at that section. Thanks for the stroll...!
