For those of you who are concerned about heavies at windmill, if you hug the hill properly the house in encounter cap protects you from them. However that is only if you have heavies at windmill. If none of your team goes mill then do not take this position. Hope that helps if anyone is confused.
Thx for teaching us to be more appreciative of even the most underated and smallest map features that we take for granted. That was acc pretty smart usage that I never thought of. Continue blowing our mind with knowledge hrf! 🧠 🤯 📖
You have any tips on how to counter that position? Or is it so rare that people really haven’t found the counter yet. (Honestly it’s probably to rotate out and go fight elsewhere but I haven’t seen it before in a game)
These are the best vids on WOT BLITZ right now. Got a 6k damage mastery in my standard b bottom tier, on the same map, on the same position you were talking about, and not 15 minutes after watching this. Thx for taking the time to share your tactics, and keep up the good work!
Great series Fatness! It's going to help new and unskilled players like me to get better and if we all get better the game is going to be more fun. Looking forward to more of these.
This was like my suggestion, know when to move/reposition. Like taking that spot because ur team is camping and utilizing campers on the team vs climbing the castle, this series is a keeper!
Oh, Never though of that spot. Maybe now I can "carry harder" like me teams always tell when im doing 4k and still losing. These vids will be very helpful!
okay i really need this series its the only part i struggle with because i cannot for the life of me find map spots for my tank so thank you also that position is now my favorite spot for my type 59 ding
Awesome! Just remember if you’re taking this spot to keep an eye on your team and whether the enemy heavies may push on you. You should be safe if you hug the little hill unless enemy heavies start pushing your spawn
I have a good position where i think no one really go, it's on canyon, south spawn. Usualy, meds go at the right of the first pillar of the ark to go on the hill, spot etc... But if you dont have necesserily a good gun depression you can take left and stop behind the little hill of dirt, and here you can shot tanks crossing and going to A, tds camping at the back. I held the ledt flank from here with my T34-3, prevented 3 enemi heavies to push and flank my team mates.
i stopped playing the game for a couple months and i came back to it its like i just got the game again its so fun and watching your vids is coming in really handy thx man
Thanks royal. Actually I'm Indian. But my brother and sisters all live in USA. I don't know why but any known American gives me my brother type feeling. It seems like they are very known to me. 😊😊😊.
At the start you can also go a bit further around the church and spot the TDs on the hill. Because you have the highground only the turret is visible and you can easily delete the TDs with the help of your team (or atleast damage them and prevent that they farm your team). But don't stay there to long because the TDs will fall back anyways and the heavies from the left will have shots on you.
Maybe for the next series try doing port bay? I feel like 90% of my losses on that map are from either meds not gaining corner or heavies not supporting meds. Maybe do a tactical video on what to do If that happens? Also I think I got the prog 65 down, tell me if I’m wrong but you should play it kinda like the 4005 no? You wait for enemy to shoot then you punish them with 1k. Idk it seems effective like that. Also great content and as always great quality! Your channel is gonna surpass the 10k mark in a blink of an eye! GL and stay chill
This series would be awesome!!! One map I have trouble with is Dynasty Pearl and can't wait for help on that map. Also, it would be great if you were able to upload more! :)
This last patch or so there were some changes to some maps. Port bay and canal had some places I could get or use with specific tanks changed or blocked.
Extremely helpful tip there fatness. I’m sure everyone appreciates you giving these helpful tips and showing us uncommon yet effective positions as you have in this video. Keep up the great work👍
Thank You Soo Much Man.. i was struggling in that castila hill with my mts . never thought of that position tbh. bt now maybe i will be able to do something good. thanks a lot and love ur contents man
It is an excellent position to be sure. However, as with all battles, it depends on your team. If you have a team of idiots who don't support and watch your back, or just sit and camp in their heavies you are going to get lit up. Regardless, your videos are most helpful and I look forward to seeing your approach. My game continues to improve and hopefully I will be ready for tier lX and X by September. Not yet good enough for those top two tiers.
For sure! Most teams are happy to sit back and snipe, but it’s definitely a risk. Also, good for you for taking your time going through the tiers. People tend to rush way to quickly. 💪
@@hisroyalfatness Thanks for your reply. I want to research to each level. Grinding through makes you a better tanker imho. I do have one collector tier X but it sits in garage collecting dust for now. I have 3 tier lXs but I am barely at 50% with those so I don't run them as much as my tier Vllls.
Soo, really good idea about making these mini series +u teaching how to use strengts of the tank like this patton on that position, not every tank could propably not that effective on that position like no armoured lights, bad gun depression tanks etc, but really good idea to teach players to find best strengts of the tanks and to search where to use them as best as they can ( I prefer to play big Wot on PC or simply watch videos about that to understand that some strenghts of the tank are extremly important to take some positions or u can be uneffective as hell and other thinks, like on batchat: on blitz u can be effective even from beggining but on pc u need to wait 6-7min sometimes cuz this is for 2 half of the game only tank, on first half ur uneffective as hell and needs to simply wait)
Very nice. I learned something new. The videos could be double the length, but having a focused videos about one spot/situation is fine too. I really enjoy your videos. Keep up good work!
Thought the next video would be another tier 10 guide. But it's nice to have a short guide for maps as well. "Castilla:EP1", will there be more Castilla short guides or is it just EP1 of map guide? And that M60 and Sheridan, I hope they learned how to play their tanks after watching this video, instead of camping right from the start
1-2 years back meadsy i think made a video about useing your teammates and he used that position but he was not talking specificly about the position just about how good that position is for your teammates to help you
Damn never knew about this. Thanks :) I'm only average, but will you share the position near the cap behind the houses on the ledge above the river? When I get a light or fast medium w/good view range there, I spot the HTs as they cross to the wind mill and my TDs just destroy them :P
Great video, very comprehensive while being direct with the info on the positioning. Was wondering if you could consider doing a video on how to effectively play the STB-1, it would be really helpful.
Hey mate as i told ya once before your positioning on maps is great but imo you have to do two videos every time so the guys can see the position of the map from the other side of spawn the two sides have different spots that you can use PS: I don't like that you reveal the good spots on maps to everyone but great vid as always man (joking ofc 😂🙈)

Whilst this position relies on good cover, there’s nothing wrong with asking the td’s/heavies to do precisely that. I’ve won a lot of games because there was some good old fashioned communication and the team was playing for the team not just damage for themselves. Nice work👍
this was great, i always die on the other spot that u mentioned cause i get pushed, but in this position would u get shot from the heavies by mill a lot? since u cant really move
If you hug that mound of dirt properly and you have heavies preventing the red heavies from pushing over the hill you should be fine. Definitely a tricky position if your team doesn’t split properly
Except...the other 9 games out of 10 where your team doesn't even bother to provide covering fire, nay, any fire...because it's tier 6~8, they have less than 1000 battles, and are clueless as to the use of a minimap. @@hisroyalfatness I'm realistic; I'm older (great-grandmother) and while I enjoy playing with my grandsons, my reaction times aren't what they were in years past. I understand tactics, the advantage of high ground, how to angle my armor, etc. While I hold my own in the 50%~55% window over most 30 day snapshots, I'm not a unicum and not that good. But...when you routinely play ten games and there is an afk, a yolo artist, or both on your team, game after game, you get a bit jaded. Last Friday I had two (or more) players do zero damage for 7 of 10 matches. It's essentially difficult to implement a lot of this kind of advice on a consistent basis when the player base just doesn't care. They either yolo in directly, or sit in the open, "capture the base", or head the way they are aimed at spawn. It's really, really bad at tier 6~7. Yesterday I was trying to grind some tier 8 heavies. Had five matches in a row, 3 vs 3 in heavies, holding the line, side scraping like a boss...but when your two mediums are dead in under 40 seconds it doesn't matter. That flank is gone and it's game over. Hopefully the upper tiers are better. I do appreciate the insight from someone at your level of expertise and always take away something valuable from your posts.
For sure. Which is why it’s important to keep an eye on what your heavies are doing. If you hug the hill perfectly the house on encounter cap means those heavies can’t hit you. It’s a very precise position and you definitely need to be aware of how your team is faring around you.

al ilas I can make a video on it. Tbh it depends on the map, the tank in particular, and what you’re facing.
@@hisroyalfatness yes can you give examples from different maps.
M60 is my favorite TANK DESTROYER
