    why are the fixture-attaching screw holes aligned diagonally? what size screws fit these holes?

    I'm installing on old plaster ceiling and the screws connecting to the clamps don't seem to tighten??

      The junction box is intended for installation in drywall.
      Not rated by manufacturer and NEC for installation the light fixture from the ceiling.

    What happens if you cut the hole slightly to big?

      You need to open the wall and do the same as with an open wall, using another junction box. Rule: "Think twice, act once."

      @@johng2913 I just went to Lowe's and got a round bracket made just for this issue.
