We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
I wasn't interested in the install but it was funny to watch. I'm a retired general contractor and I made my career building schools. I've installed thousands of door hardware sets in hundreds of different scenarios. Everything from complex $2000 lock sets to $10 privacy sets. Every mistake is glaring to me and humorous to see. To start with, you probably didn't even need to change the striker plate in the door jamb and everything after just made me grin. I just wanted to see how it works and how it's charged. Thanks for the video. Just installed ours. Did yours last a long time? Does it still work? Also we tried unlocking it with the keys that came with and it didn't work. Do the batteries need to be put in there for the physical key to work?

I'm using mine in a similar use case, it's to keep my kids out of my wood shop. So security is not really a concern. Be aware that anyone who has access into the room (because the door was left open, or they were allowed in) can add their finger print to the lock. There is no way to know that additional users have been added.
engineers not thinking about this is pretty stupid. the least they could've done is to make it so that you need the original owner to use their fingerprint to make another user otherwise it wont allow a 2nd user. like if admin user left his computer without logging off doesn't mean you can just make a new user, it asks for the admin password. sounds like a common flaw that engineers should know about and update their program
I have solved it and it works for me: When you install the door and put in the batteries you have to use that tiny screw driver and poke the tiny hole and hold it for a few seconds. It flashes blue then when it flashed red let go and place you fingerprint on the sensor. Press you finger 5 times then it automatically registers your finger and no one else can open the door. If you want to add another person then once again use the tiny screw driver, poke the hole for a few secs when it flashes blue let go and put your fingerprint on the sensor to firstly verify you want to add a new fingerprint, then add the second persons fingerprint and then when you let go it will unlock for you and the 2nd person only :) hope this helps
Can you push the latch with your finger? when the door is open and its lock after 5seconds? I mean with the inside handle you can operate the latch when its locked, so could you push the latch in with the finger too? thanks
Thank you for the video, I did myself the same steps to install, and not been a nuclear engineer ,did work. But I have to replace the batteries almost every three weeks. Its really how long it lasts??? If so, I need to create a membership/partnership with Duracell...oh boy.. Can anyone ,please let me know If I did something wrong....doesn't look so high tech changing batteries so often.. Thank you all.
I bought this for only $15 directly from china, and I could use tuya app for wifi remote controlling. Nice toy, but indoor purpose only for security reason.

some people say different fingerprints can still open the door, try it.
I had that issue until I searched for the manual online by KPP (the one that comes with the handle is rubbish) and I got it to work and had no issues

What if it low battery?
You just change the battery. It will indicate if the battery is low and it also comes with the keys in case the battery dies
This item really sucks, the lock will still open even if you dont register your fingerprint, so there is no security in here,
