I absolutely love this technique! I’m 53 years old with long hair and I struggle sometimes with the new styles. I’m from the perm era. I tried this this morning and love it! I love how my hair frames my face. It was fast and easy. Usually when I curl my hair it comes out really big which I don’t mind sometimes but there are times I like a more relaxed look. This is it! Thank you so much! I’ve learned so much from you!❤️
This is always how my hairstylist does my hair after I get it cut or colored, and I've never been able to do it on myself until I watched this video! This is exactly the look I was going for, and still looked so good even with my crappy curling iron. Thank you for sharing!!!
The only technique that works for my hair! I have thick medium length hair and traditional curling methods always leave me with a weird mushroom look. Thsi is the only technique that works. It’s fast, easy and gives me the perfect beachy waves I always wanted. Thanks a million!
A tutorial that I was finally able to replicate the results. THANK YOU! I still need practice, but I followed this exactly and people asked if I had been to the salon that day because my hair looked so good ❤️
Omg!! Not to be dramatic, but.... this tutorial changed my life. I have straight hair in the front, and wavy hair in the back. This technique is perfect for mimicking my natural wave and now all my hair looks the same. Thanks for posting!!!
This technique is a game changer. That twist changes the whole look and is what I had been trying to accomplish to get the pieces. It does take practice, but thanks for sharing!! Works for thin hair (low density) too!
I was skeptical that this technique would really do anything different than how I usually curl my hair but I tried it today and it really does make a difference. Adding that unwind-twist action really does give a different shape and texture to the curls. Love it!
I'm jealous, that you can part your hair so easily. My hair is complicated. One single hair is straight, one single is curly, one is wavy. And so on. Styling is nerve-racking for me.
Maybe, you should try the curly girl method - sounds like your hair is naturally wavy or curly but got damaged from styling. You're last name sounds German, so if you understand German, you should watch Silvi Carlsson's videos about this topic :)
I just found your videos this week. I’ve had the hardest time over the years curling my hair but hopefully the way you explain and shows things I’ll finally get it.
This video is the best, i have shoulder length very fine hair and I Tried this twist action and my hair looks gorgeous every time I do my hair people complement the style
Shoot. I’m 35 & have struggled with curling techniques. I just tried this and it took me a few times but I finally figured it out. Love it! Thank you omg.
I tried this technique and was finally successful!! I’ve never been able to get this look with a wand or a flat iron... it’s always just way too complicated for me. But for whatever, this video made total sense to me. And I was able to curl my hair this morning and I absolutely LOVE it! I think this is going to be my new go-to curling style! Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️
I am guessing there is a learning curve to this, because I tried this today and I burned my neck, melted a corner of my phone, and it ended up looking like a mess. 😩
You are SO HELPFUL. Demonstrating this is exactly what I need. I’m scared of curling irons, and the one I bought is in the back of a drawer. But you’ve given me some confidence! I’m going to try. Bless your sweet heart.
THank you sooo much for this tutorial. I really appreciate that you showed your technique more slowly so that we can see exactly how you're twisting while curling. So many other tutorials don't show that part!
My hairstylist does this type of curl, I have never been able to achieve her curls until she showed me and I saw this video & it’s exactly like her curls! I will be trying this!!!
I’d love if on videos like this if you could do a update at the end on how to freshen it up the next day. The beauty of a style like this it can last for days but not have to do that much to it completely over. I struggle with that part.
Thank you so much! My hair is your length, blonde, looks very much the same, and I cannot stand flat irons. I only use curling irons so this really really helped me! Thank you!
The other day i saw a tutorial like this but is was going so fast that i dont see what see did. I,m so happy you did this tutorial to. Now i Can try this to. I love beachy waves.
I’ve been curling my hair with my nume t3. I usually use the one inch barrel. I make barrel curls and then break them up and shake them out. They drop a little right away and I love how they turn out.
Milabu......I’m going to try doing this......with your video playing right in front of me as I do it!! I can then follow you as you do each curl....and keep “pausing” the video if need be. Yet another Great, GREAT video. Thank you Sweetie Pie. Teddy UK xx
So it doesn't looks as great as yours but after a few tries- I got it! I finally feel like I found a way of curling that makes me look like an adult - not a kid playing with curlers lol Thank you!!
Tried this on my medium length hair and I can’t believe how good it came out! I did way chunkier sections and it still came out beautifully!! The key is that twist and leaving the ends straight
I’m not into beauty tutorials, I’m mainly here for art lessons. You popped up on my feed and now I’m subscribed to your page! I love when you demo strange products from the orient 😆 I loved this video, I had no idea I could do that with a curling iron! Gonna be trying this next time I curl
Thank you, thank you!!! I have struggled so much with the straightener... you have no idea. I literally CANT do it. This was so easy and helped me SO much. This has made my life so much easier!! I have almost the same length hair as you so this was perfect for me. THANK YOU! 💕
You're just too adorable. I wish my hair held curls. Doesnt matter how long I leave the curler on or how much product I use. 2 hours later its flat again.
Frequently, I’m late to the party for hairstyles and this is an example of that, for me. Plus I’ve been growing my hair out to be long and it’s now probably 3 inches below my shoulders. I want to give this a try though. I miss your hair tutorials, although you may be back doing them again. I know I could go back in your history and look at them again but I forget to do that.
Thank you for this! I’ve been having issues with figuring how to style my new short hair cut. This technique is easier than I thought it would be, and my hair looks great!
I thought I was the only one that preferred my curling iron to my flat iron. I have better control. Your hair looks fantastic. I always love your videos.
It came out very cute! I have hair a little bit longer than yours, and I wish I had found a video like this when I first cut my hair to shoulder length
ElleNotTheMagazine I bought the kit too and tried it!! It works really really well, I was impressed! The process just takes a little longer than I expected, and you should definitely do one eye at a time!
loooove this tutorial!! i think tight beachy waves like this suits shorter hair better and i love that you used a curling iron for this video bc it’s what i have at home lol i’ve been wanting to do a look like this for so long ♡__♡
On your insta this looked so complicated lol...it the twisty bit...but having watched this video I have just sat and practising with a cold curling iron and I think I am gonna try this properly later because it's not as hard as I thought!!!
I saw you do this in another video and loved the way it looked and I tried it the other day and my fiancé said he loved my hair I was military for 5 years and I use to be awesome at styling my hair and after I got out I just couldn’t remember what to do or what to do your tutorials save me from just throwing my hair in a slicked back ponytail everyday lol so thanks
Thank you for this. I am a major spaz with a flat iron, but feel like I'm stuck with my teenage curling iron techniques from the 80's. Bonus is that my hair length, texture, and face shape is exactly like yours. New subscriber here : )
Ditto! It turned out so cute! I wish I could show you 😆.... my hair is probably 3-4 inches longer than yours, so I found myself twisting it 2 or 3 more times, the results are life changing lol. I may never go back to the straightener.

I have had the hardest time using a straightener to get waves. This tutorial was amazing! I was able to get great waves right off the bat!
This is always how my hairstylist does my hair after I get it cut or colored, and I've never been able to do it on myself until I watched this video! This is exactly the look I was going for, and still looked so good even with my crappy curling iron. Thank you for sharing!!!
Your videos never get old. Thank u.
This is the first time I’ve been able to replicate the beach waves following your technique! Thank you so much for posting. Well done!
The only technique that works for my hair! I have thick medium length hair and traditional curling methods always leave me with a weird mushroom look. Thsi is the only technique that works. It’s fast, easy and gives me the perfect beachy waves I always wanted. Thanks a million!

straighten it first, then curl it
Lol, u must be exhausted by ur stubborn hair then. Poor ya.
Mine too
Plus cowlicks!
Maybe, you should try the curly girl method - sounds like your hair is naturally wavy or curly but got damaged from styling.
You're last name sounds German, so if you understand German, you should watch Silvi Carlsson's videos about this topic :)
This happened to be the BEST hair curling tutorial I’ve ever seen! Definitely going to use this technique from now on! Thank you!
Thank you! I'm 50 years old and finally love my hair again. This worked and was super easy!

Yeah she does look like that actress.
Omg so true!!
I watched Bridget Jones the other day, it's 1 of my favourite movies ever. I can watch it over and over again, including the other 2

I love how you do your hair and I wish that I could do it on my own because I can't not do it, it too hard for me to do the curly iron.
This is a great tutorial, I’ve never seen this
exact method before and am excited to try it out. Thanks!
I am guessing there is a learning curve to this, because I tried this today and I burned my neck, melted a corner of my phone, and it ended up looking like a mess. 😩
Arin Rohrbach oof... girl you a mess lmaoo
Yes and also those awful crimps from the curling wand! 😩😩😩
How did you manage to melt your phone?! Lol 🙈🙈
yeehaw I was a hot mess. Ha ha
Linda Tannock When I set the curling iron down it touched the corner of my case. 🙄 I was like seriously??? 😂
Oh boy. Here’s another hair tool I’m gonna have to go buy.
Haha it’s a great addition

I really wanted to go in depth along the way :) glad you enjoyed this tutorial ❤️
so easy to follow. I'm still practicing and trying to perfect this twist method!
I discovered “curling” my hair like this, this past summer. It’s super fast stays well in my hair and looks sooo cute!
Thank you for this video. I bought a good curling iron today and tried this and it came out beautiful!!
This is by far the best tutorial for beach waves! I love the style and how you explained it!! Love it in my hair!
Thanks for your tutorial ! I've watch other tutorial's, you make it look less complicated. Can't wait to try.
I’ve been curling my hair with my nume t3. I usually use the one inch barrel. I make barrel curls and then break them up and shake them out. They drop a little right away and I love how they turn out.
Tha ks for this tip. Just got my hair cut for the first time in a long time. I will be trying this today! Wish me luck. 😬

Love this technique! Would you do a video updating your favourite flat iron and curling iron please??
I love the look! I get a similar effect by french braiding my damp hair into pigtails and sleeping overnight.
Great video. Thanks!
THX it’s very cool I do it to my hair u the best💇🏻♀️♥️
Love your hair tutorials! Sometimes I can get such a nice wave but other times not so much. This tool seems like a good one!
I thought I was the only one that preferred my curling iron to my flat iron. I have better control. Your hair looks fantastic. I always love your videos.
It’s just such a great versatile tool
It’s so adorable with short hair💜💋💄💄
Can I also use a curler without the „clip“ ??
Nope it will not work. I used my old ass curling iron and i got AMAZING results!!!
Alison Brooks-Morgan thank you so much for responding btw sorry for my English 😶
Love the way you did it 😘 it I'll try this 💜

I always end up giving myself that crimp in my curl somehow 😖🙄
loooove this tutorial!! i think tight beachy waves like this suits shorter hair better and i love that you used a curling iron for this video bc it’s what i have at home lol i’ve been wanting to do a look like this for so long ♡__♡
Great tutorial! I personally have so much trouble manipulating a flatiron for curls, so I am thankful to see you doing it this way! Can't wait to try!
Aww yay, thank you! Please keep my updated and let me know if there’s something I can help you with
I’m 31 and I finally learned how to keep a curl in my hair wow. Thanks so much!
I only know now what really is a beachy wave, you explained it perfectly.
On your insta this looked so complicated lol...it the twisty bit...but having watched this video I have just sat and practising with a cold curling iron and I think I am gonna try this properly later because it's not as hard as I thought!!!

Hi, You do great job for your wavy hair, I loved the way you do, Where did you buy the curving iron?👍🥰
Ur beitiful and love the way u present
You make me want shorter hair again! Love this video and your channel! ❤
Lately I’ve been using my flat iron, but this has me so excited to try my curling iron!
Yay!!! I also go through phases where I use a tool over another.
Ditto! It turned out so cute! I wish I could show you 😆.... my hair is probably 3-4 inches longer than yours, so I found myself twisting it 2 or 3 more times, the results are life changing lol. I may never go back to the straightener.
do you need to use a serum before you start using the curl iron (to protect your hair)?
