***FINALLY A GUYANESE WHO KNOWS HE'S AN INDIAN AND MAKES BIRYANI. HATE IT WHEN GUYANESE PEOPLE SAY "INDIAN PEOPLE" LIKE THEY THEMSELVES ARE NOT INDIAN***
My family has been making biryani for generations now. Its sad to see a lot of Guyanese do not make biryani or do not know how to make biryani even though it is a traditional and cultural dish made by our ancestors. Thanks for the recipe Matthew!
Yes. I am sure this was something our ancestors made back in rhe days when they first got to Guyana. Sadly many food traditions have been lost. I hope through this recipe I preserved it in some way
Thankyou for sharing your variation of this Briyani it looks very delicious. We have been making this since I can remember but the traditional way. We love the Shan brand of briyani spice too since it is easy when you feel lazy to make homemade. Keep on cooking god bless!
I don't use the chili pepper (although that is traditional) because I only have Caribbean hot peppers on hand. And I love the coriander/cilantro but I never have that on hand. So I opt for some green seasoning and scallions
Very nice i never cooked this before.I did buy the shan biryani mix so here is my first time trying it Matthews way. Love the fresh seasoning it add.a little something to this dish.
Wow delicious 😋. I never thought to add green seasoning in biryani. I usually make it the traditional way. I must try this, looks mouth watering. Thanks for sharing 💕
Matthew I am sorry I would have thought the rice would have benefitted frim some ghee usually one purs whole spices like cardomon cinnamon cloves star aniseed. Wheres the coriander mint leaves for your biriyani? Scallions are a no no. Sorry to say this is some west indian rice dish. 2/10 for effort.
@@srividia1 they probably stopped making it due to the lack of traditional ingredients… as the presenter says, you can use any kind of rice but any real Indian will have to use basmati and it must be fluffy. Any other kinda rice is hard to make it so perfectly
Delish- great job, well done
Thank you
That's awesome an surely gonna try this cause am graving biryani for a few days now
I hope you try and enjoy!
Saffron thread flavor the biryani rice and gives it a beautiful color.
Another wicked recipient but the highlight is the Babla and Kanchan Tiny Winey at the end 🔥
LOL thank you

Good job as usual. I normally chop up some coriander and add it to the rice at the end to steam with the meat also some green chili pepper.

A seasoning which combones different herbs of choice and garlic and pepper. I have vidoes on my channel on how to make it. Be sure to check it out
