Nice machine. The general XP, although quite a bit more money, is a significant upgrade over this! For a sport, “Base” model this is a nice machine. The Generals are the best of both worlds! Love the videos guys!
You can put a radio with a screen in and use your phone for trails and take it on trails that a truck is not allowed on. Get a baby Yak in the back and get it on video.
If you want a video on a REAL tiny truck you should do one on the Toro Workman HDX. We have two, our 2019 is 4wd, diesel and has a rear locker and will go into low range in 2wd and 4wd. It also has rear hydraulics and a 3 speed manual trans. They have all sorts of accessories including soil spreaders, sprayers and other pto driven things.
I would sorta be willing to call this a truck. A quarter ton maybe. But it needs a bigger bed. 100 hp is quite decent power for this size vehicle for use where most of the time your going to be operating below 45-50 mph. But to really be a truck, it needs a 5 to 6 foot bed, a heater, windshield and windshield wipers. The bed needs to be big enough to actually carry something bigger than a hammer and a bag of mulch.
I looked at polaris when we bought a sxs this year. The dealer started up a new 900s. It was loud and when it was shut off it made a noise as if the fuel pump was still running. The dealer said that should kick off in a minute. 15 minutes later it was still making the noise. I ended up with a wolverine x2 xtr. Much quieter and I have more confidence in yamaha's reliability than polaris. Its a little more utility but fits our needs better.
Here is a good test to qualify as a proper mini truck. The ability to carry a passed out Roman inside the rear box around the yak farm off road course with out him falling overboard. I don’t think you can do it.
@@TFLnow Why can't you drive this on the road? ln England they can be driven on the road providing it is registered, taxed and MOTed and has front and rear lights.
I use Polaris commercials at work and simply cannot believe how expensive they are for what you get. Way overpriced. I dare you to put 1000lbs in that and go offroad. Good luck with that. They're not crap but no way in hell would I buy one with my own money. General 1000 is USD$22K in Au. Screw that!
So our city and state governments licence those silly vespa like scooters and they are legal but a machine with seatbelts, and a roll bar are not able to be licenced. The rzr s are faster from a stop light and are much more visible to the motorist.
Cool stuff! Great time of the year for these vehicles to be tested in the wild. Cannot wait for the off road review impressions. Keep it coming. :)
I love that it's fresh off the truck and Roman is saying take it in the deep stuff. That's what it's built for good job. 👍
I love how excited Andre gets. Lol

I own a General deluxe and I absolutely love it, it's a great unit.
We bought a general and have never looked back. The dump bed is massive and the engine is legit! We went with the XP for the bigger tires.
16K and no windshield?
I'll take a nissan frontier for that price
If your looking for a small utility truck, those mini trucks imported from Japan are a way better value that any of the sxs's
Love this video!! Independent honest reviews from people doing what any new excited toy owner would do.

I love these guys lol "Ya let's just take it for a rip on this person's land"😂 Great review TFL!

I'd trade the cup holders for a wind shield.

The general is more quiet than the x2. These generals are really quiet inside the motors far back compared to the yamaha
Congrats on the new unit!!👍👍
this would make a fun project vehicle for TFLoffroad
Great little utility vehicle. Fun video as always!
Roman's the guy! Give 'er Andre, do what the man sez!
Andre just redeemed himself there at about the 9:10 mark onward,...listen!
Front and rear lockers?
The real test will be at David's farm
Oh man, we've GOT to see that!
Yamaha rmax compression race them?
I wonder why did Polaris made the 2021 model narrower than previous years. My 2018 is 62.5" wide.
Does Honda or Kawasaki make something like that? Id like to use it for more than 3 months before it breaks
5:06 what type of camera is this that you can actually see Andre spitting?
does it have headlights?
Did he mention it's top speed? Like to know.
So it isn't road legal and you'll need a cybertruck to get it anywhere?

peel p50: *are you sure about that*
Does the roof come in at price?
Looking to get one for the farm!
Looks like fun and capable.
Anyone have any suggestions on a sturdy side by side comparable to the Ranger?
yamaha Rmax
or wolverine anything but polaris
can-am commander is the same thing as this except it has a v-twin engine and the motor isn't hanging out in the back so everything can hit it.
Try looking at the John Deere range, l know a gamekeeper with one and it's great, fully glazed heated cab and road legal.
I would rather the Yamaha Wolverine X2 or for a little more money, the RMAX X2
Nice machine
incase you dident notice it is not a truck called sxs
Is the side by side a keeper or just for testing? If she's a keeper, are you guys going to build it up?
We borrowed it from Polaris.

Is this a truck though? A pickup definitively.
Bring it to the Cattle Yak Ranch racecourse
its not a truck its a sxs 4x4
I wouldn't pay over four to six grand for these and plus I get a winch included.
Well looks like you wont be getting one anytime soon, good luck even finding a decent used quad for that price
@@jayrauser5365 You can always buy Coleman and push it.
@@jamesm568 i have a delux one and its a great machine
@@jayrauser5365 Nobody will work on them here.
Yes second comment and I just came for the popcorn
That didn't arrive in a tow truck. Wow
acsually its not mini truck its Side by Side theres difference

More payload then jeep wrangler 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
the new Yamaha is a much better machine
For half the price of a new vehicle; NO THANKS! Buying one used is probably a better option after a few years old
Concerns, does not fit 6'7" people
For me, it's the lack of legroom. I'm 6'6".

Thought this was going to be a micro truck nope
Canam has the commander...... made it first and is a way better machine by far..... that thing is a joke compared to the commander
Not!!!
Overpriced by about 5k
What a waste of money should have just bought a Japanese kei Truck
Guys stick to trucks
Wow, looks so fun....NOT!
