Great discussion. Totally unlike the usual Pakistani sensationalism, and lazy conclusions. Both of you carried the discussion forward beautifully. Although I personally support Pakistan's policies in Afghanistan from the 80s till now. Right policy implemented incorrectly does not mean the policy is wrong. Where Pakistan has erred the most is by not having a stable domestic political environment. Just recently with the taliban takeover, rather than deal with the situation, the isi chief is changed domestic government is toppled, and there's complete political quagmire. No matter how good the policy, it cannot succeed in an unstable environment.
