As lifelong Floridians Hurricanes generally don’t scare me but after everything that happened with Hurricane Ian and the flooding than fire that caused us to lose everything I find that Hurricane trauma is real. It’s really easy to tell someone they’re being dramatic until a storm changes your entire life you’ll never understand what some of us feel. Good news is we should be fine where we are but we always stay prepared just in case. So I have a hurricane grocery haul and some other ways we are getting ready for the storm! My prayers are with everyone who will be directly affected by this storm in the coming days and hours …I pray for your safety and that everyone stays dry🫶

Me and my adult daughter both have storm anxiety due to tornadoes. This year has been the worst year in Ohio history for tornadoes and it’s certainly been stressful. We're in hernando county.. I also have storm anxiety due to a tornado hitting our street when I was 1 week postpartum with my first... 🥴🙃 I hope hurricane Helene isn't going to be catastrophic.

@@kaylashaye16 we are good, thank you! Power has been out since 7:30 last night but no damage. Hope you are good! My sister in laws Mom has major damage. They live on the Bayou in Port Richey, west of 19. Their home is a total loss. 😩🥺

My parents live in Clearwater and my mom just said there is lots of rain today. She is hoping that they don’t loose power at all. To top it off her birthday is tomorrow so I hope she doesn’t have a bad day. Stay safe, stay well. 😊

I recommend a battery bank for power oitages. I have one that jump starts your car, has an air compressor to pump up your tires, has 2 regular electrical oitlets, several usb ports.
If you have to leave again, just remember to throw the main. ❤❤❤
I only cook three times a week, so I purposely make one meal to have leftovers the next night. Then one night a week is carry out or fend for yourself night.

I totally understand the anxiety. We've had water issues twice, and it wrecked my nerves. I wear noise cancelling headphones during the rain now and it has been a gamechanger. Stay safe everyone!
Hopefully you guys won't get any of that hurricane or potential flooding! I live in Louisiana so I totally understand the hurricane trauma! :(. I had my very first panic attack during Gustav when my son was little. I absolutely hate going through them and especially as a parent!

I do a pork tenderloin in the crockpot with BBQ sauce and make BBQ sandwiches. The next day I use the leftover BBQ to make bbq baked potatoes. Love love love leftovers!
