Olive has on black socks😂 The shop is looking good. Dexter and Maggie came down to check out their new house. They are willing to give you your old shop back in exchange for the new digs.
I think you're remarkable person. The love you have for nature and animals. It's so impressive! Watching your channel it's very satisfying. Your work is inspiring. The garden is very nice. You're an awesome builder 👍
You rally dont need to justify yourself for buying the cheapest laminate you could find! Noone judges you really! The only thing i would judge you for is what an amazing person you are and that you are so skilled at building things, thats just amazing!! Youre always so inspiring and your videos help to get me out of this cruel world for just a few minutes, thank you for spreading all the positive vibes in your little vlogs! Also i love how even in the most noisy moments your dogs stay on your side! Hopefully I'll manage to get myself an old english sheepdoog somewhere in tn the next two years, theyre just the best!
Good job Chad. Consider putting some tarps on the sides and front of the lean to to keep the snow out, as well as some wood chips on the ground to keep it from becoming a muddy mess. 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe 🇨🇦
Love the video. You are doing such a great job in building your shed. The awning looks great. Thank you so much for sharing. Love and Blessings to you all. ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏 Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘
Congrats on a job well done. I love your wood heating stove! Add a couple of comfy chairs near the fire for break time? Maybe place your desk under the window... a great place to ideate your next project. Looking out your window and observing nature is a good way to start ideas! Thanks for bringing us along on your adventure, Chad.
Yes that’s a good plan, although I didn’t think about that during designing…I hope it’s not too low. I’m thinking about the layout these days anyway so something to think on.
Thank you for sharing Chad love watching your mancave/shop come together 😊👍. You do good work 💪 Until next time sending love and support from Florida 🌺💫💫💫
You are doing great! Cheapest flooring; color will wear off, but in workshops you still have insulation. Can't wait for the next video. I have watched all you have posted on every playlist. I'm going to have to start watching a second time. :-).... Hugs to everyone ...
Wow! That’s a lot of watching, thnx a million. I wanted to install a flooring cause it’s so easy to sweep up. In the old workshop it’s plywood and it can never get clean.
Additionally, I strongly suggest you install Two ceiling fans in that shed. Believe me, this comes the cold of winter and hot of summer. You'll need air circulation in that very nice subsiding. Two 64 inch ceiling fans wired in tandem to one switch and One remote motor assembly to run both fans. Please do this Chad, you'll be glad you did.
@@benjaminwilliams3568 I guess I’m was just thinking cause of the angled ceiling pitch I might have to hang fans down too low for clearance, that’s why initially I wasn’t going to go that route.
@@HiddenSpringFarm You can install using short down rods. The ceiling fand kit comes with round suspension ball that allow for angles ceilings. Dont over think thus, after you install one yiu will totally get it. Check out these ceiling fan installs on angles ceilings Chad. Chad you built-up a brand new building from ground up. Trust me installing ceiling fans and wiring them in tandim is much easier since you have exposed joists. Chad you got this, buddy. You got this. I recently found you because I was looking for information about how to make my barn cats life more comfortable in the winter. I have 13 barn cats and I live in Estonia where the winters are hard like in Canada. -25 is just another winter day. :) I subscribed because I saw so much more interesting in this channel and I can't wait for more videos! Keep up the good work!
Welcome to the farm. We have 7 barn cats and have lots of content about the cats. Winter is coming fast so you see snow in the videos soon. Plus after this new workshop is finished I’ll be moving all my stuff out of the old one and transforming it into an amazing cat house.
Enjoying following this new project. Your two 'supervisors' seem to be inspecting everything to make sure the job is done right lol. The overhang over the windows will still at least ensure you get light in and you can have the windows open even when it's raining.
Great episode! That's a great addition to have an outdoor covered area, hope you still get nice sunlight throughout with the roof lighting. I love that wood stove! It still astounds me how handy you are. I watch everything you put out...yet glad you don't focus too much on the animal harvesting. You're reasoning for why you harvest your own is exactly as it should be though, so I get it.
Chad, do you have an "OLLIES" good stuff Cheap, in your area. They sell all the things your might need, tell sell that wood flooring very cheap. Chad, did you forget your safety glasses, protect your eyes. I think that floor looks great. Chad @ 18 : 25 I see some light coming in on those wall sheets, use some sealant to patch those holes and then some of that Red tape to cover. I know you don't need my Help. Chad, they sell some type of cable straps to help hold the extra chimney to prevent the wind from moving it. Great Job.
I’ve never heard of Ollie’s, don’t have that here. Once I put insulation and vapour barrier would the cracks matter? I can always tape them before insulating too.
I am making a lean to area on the back side of house. Used the 6x8 ft home depot privacy wood fencing on existing concrete slab then the polycarbonate panels on top. Too late for you but you can integrate the polycarbonate with metal too. I did that on a shop I have and its like skylights.
Could the undercover area have gone on the shorter wall without windows, or was it too narrow? Not sure of your sun direction or where North is looking at the structure.
It really had to go where it is to keep with the roof pitch. The front side is the driveway, the one side will eventually be the sawmill area and the other side doesn’t have enough room. It’s all good though, it’ll work out.
Who cares about the order of work your doing?. It's YOUR Workshop, you'll do as you please and the rest of the whosoevers saying otherwise can just shut up. I like your ship and the additional exterior wood splitting idea is awesome. The windows arnt that covered, there still plenty of natural daylight coming in. Just remind yourself not to stack over the windows You'll be fine. That stacked firewood has a good and bad effects. Good and it's additional weather and wind insulation Bad because now you'll need to treat to repel bugs and rodents from burrowing into the wall exterior. I'd put up metal fabric mesh before your lay on the exterior facing.
Yes, true. Maybe because of that I’ll stack firewood on the other side not against the wall. I wouldn’t stack too much under there anyway cause I still need room to split, it’ll be good to be able to work out of the weather though.
Yes sir your doing awesome. I'm in Southern California. I love doing the work your doing. If I had vacation time which I don't I'd love to come your way and be the second set of hands you need.
GREAT IDEA FOR COVERED WOOD SHEAD 👍 Kitties came to visit ❤️😇
Olive has on black socks😂
The shop is looking good. Dexter and Maggie came down to check out their new house. They are willing to give you your old shop back in exchange for the new digs.
You could replace some of the metal sheets with acrylic panels or anything that is semi transparent as skylights to let the light in your windows.

Floor looks plenty good to me. Nicer than what I would imagine in a workshop. Great job installing it and even taking time for the doggies.
GREAT IDEA TO ADD ON YOUR FIREWOOD AREA👍👍👍❤️
Good job Chad. Consider putting some tarps on the sides and front of the lean to to keep the snow out, as well as some wood chips on the ground to keep it from becoming a muddy mess. 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe 🇨🇦
Well I plan to stack firewood on the one open side so that’ll help. And yes I’ll get some chips down for sure.
I love that you have two very diligent Building Inspectors on the job with you..

Thanks for sharing the build. I suppose if you want more light you could move one of those windows to the upper section...

Exactly right. I have the ends tarped now to keep snow out and it’s so nice to do firewood now, it’s dim but not too dark at all.

@@HiddenSpringFarm oh and btw typically it is either 2 or 3 ft above 10 ft of the roof on the horizontal. The ridge not necessarily the criteria...
Incidentally Id start running that wood burner to get it seasoned in, and to help further dry in the wood structure unternally.
