Tanglewood Acoustic Guitar Bridge Repair

This is a video showing the process of repairing a Tanglewood electro acoustic guitar. It arrived for a setup but it was quickly apparent that the high action was in part due to the bridge starting to come away from tbe body. It became clear that the finish under the bridge had not been completely removed and so this had probably reduced the available surface area for a good glue joint and over time, the bridge had started to come away under tension.
The video shows the process of removing a bridge and gluing it back down.
Whilst the bridge did not come off completely cleanly, the outcome was very good as the guitar now has a very playable action and a great sound.

If you had run a scalpel blade around the bridge gently you would avoid a lot of pick up especially outside the bridge edge area
That glue initially was no where hot enough to start either
