    Another great video! I haven't tried SATA 4400 minijet, but I have a 3000b minijet. I was think they are similar, just found the 4400 has a much bigger fan than 3000b.

      Hi buddy, The little 4400 really does have a huge fan for a mini gun. In this video, it's a 1.2, and it's not far off the copy 4000B, which was 1.3.
      I'm not familiar with the 3000B, but it wouldn't surprise me if it has a smaller fan than the 4400B.
      Cheers, buddy, good to hear you like the videos. Thanks for watching, it's really is appreciated 👍

    Hi Pete, lovely finish from both guns mate and there isn't much between both of them regarding the finish so I recon that you would be more than happy with the Ntools but as you mentioned the downside is the air consumption of the Ntools🤔mate the size of the fan from the 4400B is incredible it's massive😲and for that reason I think this was a good comparison between the two guns👍
    You may have told me before but I was surprised when you said the 1.3CC setup is actually a 1.1mm🙄it shouldn't surprise me the way this company measure their tip sizes, I was wondering how the CC aircap would perform with a 1.3i needle and tip in it, do you think it would overwhelm the aircap and not atomise the clear properly🤔🤷‍♂
    Anyway mate great video as always a very enjoyable comparison, cheers Pete👍

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi John, I have, over the years, come to respect my little Sata Minijet. It can do virtually anything.
      There's such a wide range of tip sizes from 0.5 to 2.0 and everything in between, RP or HVLP, so providing you can afford the tip sets, you can do anything with it.
      As you say, its fan is huge, and that's in 1.2. They do a 1.3 and 1.4 as well. It's not my favourite, but, as I say, I now respect it for what it is.
      Yes, the tip on the Sata 1.3CC tip is, in fact, 1.12mm, and the 1.2 is in fact, 1.25mm. The 1.3 is 1.35mm, now you know why the CC is so 🐌, cheers mate 👍

    • @JohnWD40TC02
      @JohnWD40TC02 8 месяцев назад +1

      I know a lot of people like the 4400B and it gets good reviews but like you I have shovel like hands so would probably have the same problem as you with the fan control, I didn't know it had all those setups for it so as you said it would be a great gun for someone just wanting a one gun does all and one that's good quality.
      I don't know why the tip sizes are so far out on the sata guns mate, I don't see any gain in saying it's a 1.3cc when it's only a 1.1🤦‍♂ yep know we know why the CC is a slow setup but it's also why it atomises the clear so fine, do you think a 1.2i or 1.3i tip would work with the CC aircap🤔
      Posted another tank on my page this afternoon mate, not sure if you will like this colour though🤔🫣🤣cheers mate👍

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  8 месяцев назад +1

      @JohnWD40TC02 Yeah, I think it would work, but I suspect that the main reason the CC gives a flatter finish is like many others. A smaller tip with everything being equal often gives a flatter finish, I think personally this is more of the reason than the cap, cheers mate 👍

    Hello Pete i just bought Sata 4400B RP second hand and i it had 1.4 tip on it. What would you recommend for settings. I just feel that the fan is not as big as on yours,i did full fan and full fluid on 2.2. Fan is about 15cm am i holding it too close or the tip sprayes a bit tighter. I am looking at getting a bit orange peel so that the panel matches other parts. Thanks in advance. Cheers!!

      Hi Mate, 15cm sounds quite small for one of these, I normally hold this around 150 to 175mm from the work, Sata recommends 2.5 bar for their 4400 RP setups, so try that and see what you think 🤔

    Hi Pete!! Why SATA (not N-tools)? They (some) two exactly similar Chinese guns may be very different guns. Others will work fine a long time, and others are garbage in six months.
    I think that those seal rings etc inside the guns are not made proper PTFE or similar, good material, which can resist different chemicals..? I have Sata minijet. It is an expensive gun, but i do know that it will last a long time, many years..

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  3 месяца назад

      Hi Mate, Yes, of course, you would expect a Sata to last longer than an Ntools, I have had a few people that have given quite a lot of use to the Ntools that they have had problems with the seals.
      What something like the Ntools gives you is the ability to buy a gun to use, try, experiment with do what most people want at a low cost, many will go on and buy better tools depending how they get on with there painting.
      Cheers buddy, much appreciated 👍

      @lockstocky2800 I would very much doubt the kits would fit. By chance, the odd seal may fit.
      These Ntools are around £42 gbp delivered, so if they give a years service, it's still cheap.
      I have a few sets of neoprene o'ring that I use for all sorts of things but you can often find a ring to fit certain guns, I've repaired two Iwatas and a Harder & Steenbeck air brush , I got them a few years ago but they were only around £9 a box with about 40 sizes per box

      The Ntools 4000B is better made and will probably last longer. The 4000B is better for clearcoat if you are used to spraying, but the NVE would be better if you weren't.

    Hello Pete, everything is great, but the quality of the recording unfortunately does not allow us to see this varnish in detail, I watch your videos but I can never see the difference between one element and another and the quality of the finish even though I have the highest resolution set, a 4K recording would be useful 😉 best regards.

      Hi buddy, The final shots of the work are 4k 60fps , I do not compress them, but RUclips does, so it's the best I can do.
      The on head footage is 1k 60fps. The reason for that is if I keep the camera at 4k 60fps, half an hour of video footage is around 40gb, I may end up with 2 hours footage, so the files are simply huge and difficult to do anything with.

    I got a sata replica for Christmas one year. It’s a replica of the 5000. O pattern. I’m glad I didn’t blow $1000 on a real sata because I absolutely hated the way the gun sat in my hand. I always think the bigger Sata guns have a very agricultural feel, a bit big and clumsy, they are also quite heavy, for me, of all the Sata guns I like the 5000 RP the best as it's a bit of a Canon, never tried a copy one though which I would expect to be heavier and less refined, cheers mate 👍
