Hi Juan! You are quite the influencer! I bought the Loops & Threads Standing Yarn Roller after watching your video last night. I also purchased a few skeins of 3 colorways of the Wool Ease "Fair Isle" and I'm trying Tunisian Knit stitch crochet to see if I get the Fair Isle pattern. Best to you from one yarn addict to another!

Hola Juan, very interesting how you measure the WPI’s. I have never done so before. And also, I have not used the Lion Brand Wool Ease Face isle yarn but now I am definitely going to give it a try. And thank you for introducing Crystal of Bag o Day. I watched a couple of her latest episodes. She sold me on ordering a mystery box from Canada. 😅

Hi Juan. I’ve been crocheting for years. I never knew that some skeins were an outside pull yarn. I thought that all yarn was pulled from the inside. Thank you for this new information for me.

If you look on the label of the fair isle. They show three patterns, but there knitted. Lucky for me since, i can do both. I started doing the cowl, im on the last few rows. And still have plenty of yarn left to do the hat.

Hi Juan! I just noticed that you’re a lefty. Me, too. Crochet, knit, and most everything else left-handed.
I am ambidextrous enough to make the transition from one to the other pretty easy, though. It’s nice to see another lefty maker!

Thank you so much for the recommendation on the yarn stand from Michael's. I just picked up one for about $17 with a 40% off coupon. It's huge (36" high and adjustable down to 25") and with a nice heavy base (it's not going to flop over). I didn't realize how big it was, but that's so nice because you can set it on the floor and the cross bar is just above the desk height. And a bonus, I was able to put it together by myself! I usually hand these things over to my husband but thought I'd give it a try and the instructions were so clear, step by step, perfect. 😄What a treat!

Hi Juan, I believe that Lion Brand Fair Isles yarn is better knitted that crocheted because of the integrated pattern , according to Bag-O-Day. I will be very interested to see your crocheted hat and scarf set. 😊 Thanks for the information regarding Michaels, I have never been to this shop and just found out that their is one near me in Québec 😊

I’m admiring your wall. And here I thought I have a lot of yarn in my collection. I must admit that I’m not as tidy, but I’m working on it! My vest project needs some consideration because the pattern instructions are questionable again. I like that yarn holder “tree” that you demonstrated! It’s brilliant!
My yarn sits in a basket, on the floor to the right of my recliner. I have my own swift that makes nice cakes with the pull from the center. No fuss, no muss. I’m aiming to begin the shawl you had instructions for lefty’s and the righty’s. Have a great week and I’ll talk with you again soon…🧶

    A yarn bowl? SUGGESTION??!!
I found a pot at goodwill that normally you plant what's called hens and chicks in it. Think i got it for $3..... Where it has multiple holes in the side of the pot you can place many a skein in it with center pulls and not bunch them up or one outer pull and pull out the lowest placed hole. May have to glaze the inside if you find one that isnt preglazed or it will pull threads. Thought id share my findings I've found that work for me in the cheap 😅. Thank you for the review 💜

Juan after many, yarn barfs, and a colossal tangled mess caused by collapsing on a Caron Cake inside pull, I resorted to Google for help. A RUclips Channel suggested to place the cake or any skein in a small container (I’m using a small lined basket)such as a rectangular glass dish, or lined or plastic basket, and pull from the outside vs inside. Place the container on the floor or LOWER than yourself. That’s the key. Of course if you want the color in the center of a cake to lead off this won’t work. This is my second project using cake yarns and it’s working like a charm! I’ve used a regular skein and no rolling around…can’t go far. Maybe someone else has center pull barfaphopia and this might help?🧶🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks for your review! I bought some of the Fair Isle yarn in purple and really like the pattern the yarn creates, the softness, and the price. However most of the color choices involve grey as the neutral. To me that’s boring and a little depressing. Cream, black, or any other color would be a great neutral. Your yarn wall is wonderful, have you ever discussed what shelves you chose and how your yarns are organized? Thanks🎃🎃🎃
