Only just realized when watching this that "winter made the already unbearable work in the port impossible, so we sent the tugs up river" is exactly what happened in real life when filming the episodes, and they put their real struggles in the show lol
Love Captain Star's last words where he warmly give kudos to his Tugs. Feels like something the OG would do if they saw there wouldn't be another season.
That song at the end of this episode always gets me. You did such an amazing job with these edits. This is what the Salty's Lighthouse version of Tugs should've been. Thank you.
What is funny is that it happens to be snowing where I am right now. I'm sure I'm not the only person watching this right now who has snow in their area. This was quite a fascinating series and well put together. Seems strange that most of the Z-Stacks were there, but they didn't do much besides Zorran.
No, you are not but you have snow falling. I have a snow on the ground with a 6 degree Fahrenheit temperature and 12 mile per hour winds. More appropriate weather to be watching this.
A solid ending. It appears that Warrior is ironically the smartest Tug through out the whole series, with him saving the day 3 diffrent times (on purpose of course). A lovely way to round up the whole series. Very well done with the limited sources at hand.
You know what I wish they had done for each episode of TUGS? I wish that they had made 2 different edits of each of the episodes for each different form of distribution: The 20 minute cuts could have still been edited and released as VHS exclusives in the UK, and if TUGS had gotten sold to America and put on one of the big 3 networks [CBS, NBC or ABC's Saturday Morning cartoon blocks] or something, those 20 minute edits [redubbed with an American/Canadian cast] could've been the cuts used on American television [with edits [fades to black] made for commercial breaks to get the programs up to a half hour in length], while the 15 minute cuts could've been what was aired on TV in the UK [and some countries internationally would've put them on VHS, maybe]. That's the best possible "good ending" I could have come up with for the show.
So the last episode of this serise , uhhhhhh memories of the past 13 days of hoping on my bed with a blacket to wath the episode love you Unlucky Tug , Love from India
A beautiful ending to the Lighthouse saga. With the overdose of light and fire puns, especially everyone when Tophat went one too far and everyone snapped at “couldnt help but laugh”, loved it, Warrior’s redemption and yes, the beautiful siren swan song… I applaud you for taking all the clips and vidoes Salty Lighthouse shredded and used in their 40 episodes, ruining an epic series while you unlicky Tug, you created a masterpiece that the original series would be proud of and what Salty Light house shouldve done.
I especially love the end credits, the night time panning shot while the tugs work, its hard to describe, but the nestolgic feeling is simialr to that of the ending from the Land Before Time. Doing research, Tugs aired 1 year after Land Before Time, who thunk it…
Lovely finale! I don't know what its like for you in California right now but where I live, the temperature is 6 degrees Fahrenheit with winds up to 12 miles per hour and tomorrow is supposed to be Below Zero*. So the Lighthouse Edit for "Bigg Freeze" couldn't have come at a better day for me! I also want to take this opportunity to say that it is clear that the writers loved word play and jokes in the TUGS segments. This edit had so many puns, it could pass for a Stephan Pastis' Pearls Before Swine comic. Another thing, while Lillie's voice was one of the best in Salty's Lighthouse here, as well as TUGS, Lillie's voice seems to get more and more sultry as the episode goes on. It may just be me, but I hear it every time. And the use of the extended theme with the credits over the extended night time harbor footage from the early cuts is arguably better than the iconic sunset with Boomer and the schooner. Maybe if TUGS did continue for more episodes, I think that panning deleted scene footage would be perfect for the credits! That just maybe my favorite part of this video! *That sounds like a great title for a TUGS story.
I really wish that TUGS got more attention, especially in the US, but still, I'm really happy with these edits we got! Thank you for making these, tug! They were a lot of fun to watch and I liked seeing this show with a full American cast! Hats off to Richard Browning too as he did a fantastic job voicing Captain Star!
This whole edit series has pretty much become the only real way to watch the Salty's Lighthouse versions of TUGS, this feels more like what should have happened. It's also funny to me that you used all different episodes to get the dialouge, it really suggests to me that the real diaougle was hidden all throughout the TUGS segements and you pieced it all together.
“During the last few days, we've ventured into a lot of different epsiodes. We've had the opportunity to meet and work with a lot of wonderful tugboats. I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing. That it was all started by a lighthouse.”
The only thing that could maybe be done is edits where they tell the stories from the official books and annuals, but they'd maybe have to be audio-only given there's not much video content left over to work with, so you'd end up doing what Salty's Lighthouse did and reuse footage to make the video part.
All good things must come to an end...and man, this trip down memory lane to the Bigg City Port has been quite a ride! Congrats to you and everyone involved on another successful project!
There we are glorious finale Especially with the sizzle reel credits that’s just the very one thing that helps put a smile on your face. Great work Nick!
Truly a great way to end a phenomenal edit. Best part about this is between the original and this edit I can share the magic with my son. Thank you for the love and hard work you put into this series we definitely appreciate it.
1. 8:57 Lillie has a different VA?? I thought all the female characters from SL had the same actress. 2. Even in SL, Top Hat is still the best character. 3. This series has been wonderful! Even with some questionable voices and changes, thanks for showing that SL can actually be watchable without the goofy-sounding music and (in my opinion) grating narrator.
Taking TUGS's bastardized American adaptation, and making something actually good out of the many audio clips from something completely garbage. Well done, Tug. Wondering what will be posted here next after these Lighthouse edits are done?
Amazing job Tug! I'm a day late to the party but I've loved watching these episodes over the last couple of weeks. I'm from the UK so I'm used to the OG Tugs but this version was edited fantastically over what the US got with Salty's Lighthouse. Bravo! 👍
So Unlucky Tug took 40 episodes of incoherent, inconsistent, atrocious screen garbage and created an amazingly accurate American adaptation of the original TUGS. A toast to Unlucky Tug, who did the impossible!
and so the it’s the end. At the start having never seen salty’s lighthouse the voices where a bit off putting but now I’ve came to enjoy this take on a childhood favourite, and am a little sad it’s over.
I love the " Somewhere Across the Sea" ending song. Great work on these edits they were good fun to watch. Though there's some episodes I will always prefer the originals. Particularly Munitions & The Regatta. Which I used to have on Vhs as a kid.
You did a great job recreating the whole us dub, I have a question for you and hope this isn’t too personal remember when you said in your video talking about the tug series when you talked about ghosts you and cousin watched it when a video of it was uploaded onto RUclips well I was wondering does your cousin still like Thomas and tugs like you or at least knows that you still like them
Some of these voices sound kind of funny at least to me they kind of sound a little off but it’s not like I know anything I’m just saying they sound pretty funny
I suppose The Lighthouse Edit would be something if Salty's Lighthouse produced TUGS almost similar to the original show that isn't too much like Thomas than the other way around (as in already acting like Thomas the Tank Engine while still being a show about steamboats for most of the time, with some pretty cringe pop culture references and rather poor and botched editing).
This man did the impossible. He took Salty's Lighthouse, and actually made it good. I tip my hat to you, Nic.
I like how Warrior has a very visible arc in pulling through for friends and having clever ideas.
That song at the end of this episode always gets me. You did such an amazing job with these edits. This is what the Salty's Lighthouse version of Tugs should've been. Thank you.
And so it ends… what a journey. Thank you Unlucky Tug
That ending genuinely made me smile
You managed to turn Salty's Lighthouse into something great!
Hats off to you Nic!
What is funny is that it happens to be snowing where I am right now. I'm sure I'm not the only person watching this right now who has snow in their area.

That's Funny Hercules Sounds Like Thomas.

Was not expdcting that change up with the credits, this series of videos was really well put together. Well done!

The Characters Are Good
A great start to 2024 and it comes to an end so soon.
Thanks for your efforts in bringing these Nic

What an ending!
Great job on all of these episodes, Tug!
What an amazing adventure this was. As much as I was raised on the Salty's Lighthouse edit of Tugs, this was such a breath of fresh air. Great job! 👍
Man, it’s sucks to see this amazing series end, but it went out with a bang! The sizzle reel credits hit home. Fantastic finale!
And this we've reached the End of
Tugs The Lighthouse Edit
Amazing work Tug! This is better than Salty's Lighthouse any day!
This whole edit series has pretty much become the only real way to watch the Salty's Lighthouse versions of TUGS, this feels more like what should have happened.

Never thought I’d find you here. :)
This has been a fab series! Thanks for including the song at the end as well, the most beautiful way to end the series 😄
This series was great! It really felt like a US dub of TUGS.
What a Ending Thank you Unlucky Tug! 😊😊
This was such an unexpectedly amazing project. I really just gotta thank you for all the work you put into this.
What a beautiful finale! Well Done Unlucky Tug!✨👏
What and end to the tugs wish it had lasted longer ❤😢
All good things must come to an end...and man, this trip down memory lane to the Bigg City Port has been quite a ride! Congrats to you and everyone involved on another successful project!
Its sad that its over already - you did such an amazing job with this!

I did like the extended end credits.
A great way to close out the series! Thanks a lot for the treat, Tug.

I can’t believe it’s finished. 😢 I really enjoyed it! 🥰 Thank you for creating this amazing series! 😉👍🏻
Bravo Tug, Bravo.
How ironic, this episode gets uploaded as there’s a literal blizzard outside my house and bitterly cold temperatures.
This episode is rather appropriate for my current situation :P
Well done you have done a good job
Taking TUGS's bastardized American adaptation, and making something actually good out of the many audio clips from something completely garbage. Well done, Tug. Wondering what will be posted here next after these Lighthouse edits are done?
Just amazing. That’s it.

And now we have the whole series covered.
Welp what a series
well done
This whole thing was amazing. Thank you so much for this. You did an awesome job, and definitely did the show justice!
And it’s all done.. I’ll miss this series heavily.
What a great series and the ending was just prefect 100 out of 10
So Unlucky Tug took 40 episodes of incoherent, inconsistent, atrocious screen garbage and created an amazingly accurate American adaptation of the original TUGS. A toast to Unlucky Tug, who did the impossible!
Actually, Lillie was voiced by Lenore Zann, too.
and so the it’s the end. At the start having never seen salty’s lighthouse the voices where a bit off putting but now I’ve came to enjoy this take on a childhood favourite, and am a little sad it’s over.

We finally come to the conclusion
Hercules Is Bringing The Vienna In Bigg City Port.
Lily Lightship aka Rouge the Bat as a boat
Goodbye Lighthouse Edit.
It was fun when it lasted.
This is goated I love it
why should it end? why can't there be just little bit more of tugs
The End 📕
Loooovee it! (Reference to Dragon Tales)
I can't believe this is the final episode, it's so annoying that a good show ends so soon
Least one well think you unlucky tug
Well it over thank you lucky tug
So... many... _puns_ ...
You did a great job recreating the whole us dub, I have a question for you and hope this isn’t too personal remember when you said in your video talking about the tug series when you talked about ghosts you and cousin watched it when a video of it was uploaded onto RUclips well I was wondering does your cousin still like Thomas and tugs like you or at least knows that you still like them
The end an interesting show
the end :(
Ik I'm late but u could make a season 2 by making ur own episodes with the remastered footage
Some of these voices sound kind of funny at least to me they kind of sound a little off but it’s not like I know anything I’m just saying they sound pretty funny
Are you going to do Season 2?
There is no season 2 of tugs
I suppose The Lighthouse Edit would be something if Salty's Lighthouse produced TUGS almost similar to the original show that isn't too much like Thomas than the other way around (as in already acting like Thomas the Tank Engine while still being a show about steamboats for most of the time, with some pretty cringe pop culture references and rather poor and botched editing).
