    this is gas, I always issues syncing my one flash. To be fair it is a cheap flash (TT600 with a X2T). What flash trigger do you use? any tips for making the flash syncs up well ? Have the ad 600 or 200 ever given you issues ?

    • @DTVprods.
      @DTVprods.  9 месяцев назад +1

      Use the native trigger to your camera brand. That way there will be no issues.

    only tip i would give is to have ur model or client move up like 3 feet and get a lil space between them and the backdrop and lower the strobe hight just a a lil bit ...but other wise good content sir

    This is an excellent video overall and super helpful for many people. One suggestion is to bring the lights down a little lower when you are dealing with any players wearing hats. This helps you to avoid aggressive shadows on the face you can notice in some shots. It additionally helps limit the silhouette shadow you can see on the backdrop paper. Luckily, with the editing in the post, you can get rid of those pretty easily, regardless

  • @TCRBrad
    @TCRBrad 7 месяцев назад +1

    Good stuff! One tip for baseball is to set your key at chest level, so you can fill in the shadow under the player's hat and have their face lit.
    It'll save you a lot of time in editing ;)

    If you mentioned these somewhere in the video and I missed it, I apologize. What aperture do you shoot at for this type of shoot? How far from the backdrop do you place the subject and lights? What camera white balance setting do you use?

    • @DTVprods.
      @DTVprods.  Месяц назад

      White balance I usually keep on Auto, F-stop is kept at 2.8 unless I'm shooting multiple subjects, and I dont have a set distance for how far the lights should be. Just know the farther they are, the more light drop off you'll have. So distance is based on the look you are going for.

    Amazing video! Question about the backdrop, how do you manage to keep it clean with athletes stepping on it, and does it tear easily?
    Would a white vinyl backdrop be a more durable option? Thanks!

      You can also get another Ad200 and there is an adapter from Godox where you can put them together and turn them into a 400 watts strobe. Works wonders.

    When you use the generative fill, isn't it limited to 1024 pixels by 1024 pixels? so if you use it for the whole image you'll run into jpeg artefacts?

    • @DTVprods.
      @DTVprods.  8 месяцев назад
