Saturday with the family is always special! You are creating memories that will always bring joy for all. The advent project is becoming more beautiful each day. The blocking makes a big difference in viewing your stitch work on screen. Blessings!

Austin needs to keep the skill of cooking that much food because that is exactly what you will need when your boys hit the teen years! 😜

Wow! What a difference blocking made! And I am really liking the minty-pale turquoise with speckles yarns - sooooo pretty!
Breakfast looked so fun! Flashbacks to when my two were little and they would have a friend or two for a sleepover and Saturday or Sunday breakfast would be pancakes and bacon and little tiddly sausages with the girls making the pancakes. It's been over 20 years since those days but it's wonderful that you are making these memories for you and the children. I know it's a total cliche but you will turn around one day and wonder where the small-sized shoes went, the last time you needed to make a school lunch and how long it's been since a little person woke you up in the night to check for monsters under the bed!
I'm intrigued by pumpkin cheesecake. I have never heard of that before! You can only really get pumpkins here in October and I have never seen canned pumpkin. You can probably get it in the stores near the big USAF bases in Suffolk but not around here. I would absolutely love the recipe for the raspberry and white chocolate one if you have a moment to share. It would be an excellent dessert for our Boxing Day family dinner.
It's blowing an hooley here so we are hunkered down in front of the fire. Perfect day for knitting and looking at patterns for the next project and a lot of what my husband calls 'yarn p.o.r.n'! Have a great day and we'll see you in the morning.

@@jayeclements6452 I was raised by my great granddaddy, born in 1927. So, a whole childhood of “back then…” “these memories when the girls were little”…
I noticed a good majority of our audience is older. 65+. I wanted some of these moments to bring up some good memories for others of their own “back in the day”. I love the stories, too. I’m happy it served that purpose for you. I was raised on the idea of “hold those memories oh so close and take all of the photos.” Bringing up good times always makes me feel good. :)

@@jayeclements6452 and yes I’ll put in the cheesecake making! Probably next week or the week after! Me and my daughter usually make it together so might wait until school lets out for holiday break. If you make it, you’ll have to let me know! ❤️❤️❤️
