"Pop Champagne" features heavy use of the Auto-Tune effect. Ron Browz, recounting the inspiration to use it, recalled hearing the song "Rider Pt. 2" which features a performance by 50 Cent which also uses the effect. He recounted: "I called one of my engineers like, 'Yo, I need that effect 50 [Cent] used.' They get it to me, I play around with it and by the grace of God, I made 'Pop Champagne.'" It was the first time Browz had ever tried using the effect. While initially recording vocals to match the original instrumental, Ron Browz struggled with the effect, later recounting that "I didn't know you have to be on key". As a result, he stripped out the pitched instrumentation from the verses, leaving just the characteristic percussion and Browz's vocals in the mix.
