  • Using ultrasonic level technology, Greyline open channel flow meters include a non-contacting sensor mounted above the flume or weir. By measuring the time from transmission of an ultrasonic pulse to receipt of an echo, the water level or "Head" is accurately measured.

    thanks for your useful video. I have a question. If the weir do not have a crest, so can we measure a flow discharge only with the head of the fluid (H) ? Thanks you

    YOu cannot claibrate an open channel flowmeter in the field. You can configure and set it up though. CALIBRATION shold only be done by the manufaturer.
